Euro 2016 will have 24 teams in the newly expanded tournament. Surely this will be our next big chance at qualifying. That's an extra automatic place for 2nd best teams and a playoff for 3rd place.

Does anyone feel we can still do it? We should have won by a few last night but only managed the one nil. A couple extra goals could have been vital for us in terms of goal difference. If Scotland win their next match against Lichtenstein and we have to think Spain will beat the czech's we will move above them into 2nd by one point. That leaves us with a final game against Spain and the czech's away to Lithuania (Czechs lost the last encounter in Prague). If we lose to Spain which is more than likely we will be relying on Lithuania to win the match for us giving us a playoff place. I'm still unsure what happens if the Czechs draw though. That would leave both teams on 11 points. Would it then go to goal difference? Or games against each other. If it is goal difference then a good win against Lichtenstein could possibly be enough for us to qualify.

A bit of an own goal by ICT hosting this match on Friday night as its a kick in the teeth to Clachnacuddin who are playing Turriff Utd at the very same time We all know Clachs situation regarding money and there struggle to get punters through the turnstiles therefore this fixture should have been moved to a more suitable date They may well be legends but I won't be there as I will be going to Grant Street dougal Not bothered its clashing with Clach at all as i don't support them but i'm a bit unhappy i didn't know about this sooner. Was this in the pipeline for a while and i just didn't hear about it? Giving me 3 days to organise this just isn't enough time so thats a shame.

First of all i don't think anyone on this thread is calling for Butchers head. I don't understand why everyone is moaning that we want him out when no one is saying that. I also dont think we are a wee team in terms of Scottish football. Last night we played Ayr United who are significantly smaller than us at the present time and yet we weren't even able to score ONE against them. They completely out classed us in the first half and we deserved to go out. Everyone who has came on here to discuss last nights fiasco is well in their rights to be frustrated with that performance last night. It was embarrasing to watch. I only ask how long do we keep up with these stupid excuses of "the team needs more time to gel" If it takes this long to gel a team then is it really worth it? I don't think so. We had a team capable of top 6 last season so why not keep the bulk of that squad and improve it with 2 or 3 new faces, There were players that got released that are better than the current crop of players that has been brought in and Terry Butcher is the only person responsible for that. I am behind Terry Butcher at the moment but at what point in the season does it become acceptable to start criticising Terry Butcher if we aren't allowed to do so right now? It seems like he is untouchable and will be here regardless of how poor we do this season. Do we wait until we have played everyone once and possibly bottom after 11 games? 22? 33? 38? Or maybe next season in the first. We came up first time of asking last time, i'm not too sure we'd be able to do it again.

Losing 5-1 to County after being one up was a worse feeling than last night. Queens Park game was very similar to tonight as well so i don't think its one of the worst results ever but this cannot continue. There is far too many new players in the team for my liking, With all players back i couldn't put together a best 11 and i know Terry couldn't either. The problem with this is we are already 6 games into the season and i can't see it changing anytime soon. We now have Jonny Hayes out for a few games now and although he hasn't be performing as well as he should be i still think he is our best attacking option. With no striker and no creative midfielder we are really going to struggle now. We have St Johnstone, Dunfermline and St Mirren in October. IMO that is a massive month and will make or break our season. If we are still bottom after playing those 3 teams then i will be expecting us to go down. Does everyone actually think we'll beat Killie on saturday? I don't think we will, its more of a hope.

Of course he shouldn't be sacked but at what point do we stop with all these excuses? 10 spl games without a win? It's possible. It's frustrating because I like the team we have they just aren't producing the goods.
