So Grant Munro and Russell Duncan?

He's billed as a LB.. We have signed an Austrian called Piermayr RB!!!!!! just waiting for international clearance seemingly! COME ON ICT!!! He played against Buckie at RB, he played for his last team at RB, and why would we sign a LB when we have Gillet and Shinnie? Anyway, welcome to reality. we are humped on the first day, not a good start, need to sort out the defence a bit Terry, and having no defensive midfielder on the park is criminal. Russell Duncan anyone?

Its only the first game of the season but i kinda had the feeling we'd struggle this year. You only have to look at last years squad to tell its better than this seasons.

Yeah i think he injured himself in a friendly down south.

On that line up i would say that is the best team we could put out giving all the injuries. I still think Motherwell will have a good season though so they may just edge it today.

Seen him against livi when the whole team was pretty dire. If he is for centre midfield only then I wouldn't sign him. We have a good enough. Midfield without him and could do with signing two defenders as priority

Do we need Jamie Stevenson? I wasnt impressed enough with him at livi to want him in what is a very strong midfield. Defenders please.

If the team goes out and gives 100% and we still get relegated surely that comes down to butcher. I think the spl will be even tighter this year than it was last and it really is going to be hard to call where everyone ends up.

I don't understand how he can be a prat for wanting to find a job at this moment. A club in England might be a better option for him anyway, the trial up here might not have been to his liking. Just because he hasn't chosen ict doesn't make him a prat.

These sort of rumours are actually believed by some. I was at the livingston game and i heard someone say "whos that player who was wanted by Inter Milan? Oh yeah Rooney."

Does anyone even know what Duff has been upto? Has he been on trial or even linked with anyone else? He is still a footballer so surely he's trying to get something lined up. It just seems as if he has dissapeared completely.

I would only settle for 11th place if we managed a terrific cup run. We finished 7th last season so why then should we back track and be happy at 11th, I wonder if the players think this as well. Before Doran signed i thought we were favourites to be relegated but he kinda changes alot. We do still need at least 2 defenders in though so until they have been signed i will still be undecided on our real expectations for the season.

Or he just wants to find a job.

No Nick Ross or Shane Sutherland?

This is superb news. Doran is a great prospect and this signing alone makes our team look better. I agree with everyone now and think a couple of defenders is all we really need. I'm finally looking forward to the start of the season and hope the new boys get on tomorrow night.

No one else worried that Stevenson seems to be the only other Trialist we have? I thought we'd have a couple others for tonight. Heres hoping we see a couple new faces on Thursday.

Doran was very much apart of our team last season so he has to be included, same way Aldred is even though he'll be away in January. I'm not comparing both players for positions, i just mean I'd rather have Doran in my team than Shinnie. This IMO shows our team was better last season. There is still alot of time left to bring in other players but surely all the good ones are already being snapped up.

Players OUT: Johnson, - Duff, Innes, Hogg, Munro, Golabek - Odhiambo, Mcbain, Duncan, Blumenstein, Doran, Sanchez, - Rooney Players IN: Tom Aldred, Josh Meekings, - Andrew Shinnie, Greg Tansey - Gregory Tade So thats 13 players out and only 5 in. Surely we have a serious amount of space left to will in terms of wages. In defence i would say i was more comfortable with Hogg and Munro than i am with Adred and Meekings, We have also lost Innes, Duff and Golabek, Will we be bringing in another 2 defenders? So far i think the defence has been weakened. Midfield we have brought in Shinnie and Tansey, Are they better than Doran and Duncan? Again i am not so confident on that. We have also lost another 4 midfielders, will another 2 or 3 be brought in? So far i think the midfield is weak. Attack - We have lost Rooney and brought in Tade, That isn't a good sign at all unless we can bring in someone else. So far i put us up as one of the favourites for relegation UNLESS we can bring in a few quality faces. I really do fear for the season ahead and i'm still sure Butcher will regret releasing Munro and Duncan.

I'm sure our record against livi is currently EQUAL on games won, lost and drawn. I haven't checked soccerbase which is an excellent place to find the answer but an equal record does ring a bell. This game obviously won't be included in those stats though. For me Livi v Caley games are the best out there, or at least they were. They always meant more to me than the ross county matches ever did.

what is it with the Turkish managers these days playing football manager drunk but in real life. Why are they signing ANYONE from the uk these days? Whenever i used to played FM drunk in a foreign league i'd go yaaas paul ritchie, he'll do a job, then totally regret it the next day. I'm pretty sure these guys are doing the same. You're correct. The ground is rubbish. The 'announcer' also thinks he's a bit of a comedian. Last time I was there he kept referring to us as 'Inverness Thistle' and kept reading out the 'Dundee allstars' score as they were losing. And he played I've got a brand new combine harvester. Total tube. I have to disagree. For a first division side they have a better stadium than us. Its also in a far better location for fans to get to.

When is he going to sign players for this season though, our first 11 at the moment is worse than when we got relegated.

This IMO is a very good signing for them. I have much more confidence in them this season after last years attempts to relocate the cowdenbeath team to Paisley. At the moment i think we've got to be one of the favourites for the drop.
