  1. I personally would give Christie and Polworth starts You never know it might entice some more punters through the gates knowing their are local boys in the starting line up I'd also be quite happy to give Essen some game time that way Brill could concentrate on some kicking practice and getting his confidence back Dougal
  2. Aye maybe it's time we got a woman in the dug out? Dougal
  3. I fail to see how you come to that conclusion Rig If anything I'm having a dig at the hundreds/thousands of Invernessians that have rejected ICT not the hundreds of incomers who have swelled our paltry support since the off We average about 2500 hard core support and half are incomers so they should be applauded because without them we would not have an SPL team Take it Bannerman taught you in School as you don't appear to be the sharpest Dougal
  4. Someone must know him as there can't be many that have such an accent amongst all the incomers Dougal
  5. Kingsmills you must be the No1 negative poster on the site these days, I'm pretty surprised you are so anti-yogi when you consider your hero was Jim Leishman Yogi is here for the entirety of his contract in the boards eyes that's why he was offered a long term contract, I very much doubt we could afford to sack him at present even if it was justifiable Sad thing is Yogi and Russell possibly read this site and it certainly doesn't send out a very nice welcome to Inverness to either of them Butcher saw the start of the decline that's why he bailed out and now Yogi has had to pick up the pieces so the least he deserves is some time and that would be a year in my opinion Anyway Brora can win the title at Keith next week Mahonio Dougal
  6. Next weeks more likely to be a caleyjagsforever special with the table full off freshly baked cup cakes and other assorted home baking left overs from their bus for Yogi to give his full approval Almost lost for words and that has never happened to me before Dougal
  7. How are Brora Rangers getting on this season Mahonio, mid table was your prediction was it not? Anyway back on topic I'm delighted for Yogi after today's result Yogi is here for the long haul and I'm 100% behind him Dougal
  8. So our first home game since the final and we seem to have lost 5k missing fans Let's be honest here this just highlights that they weren't fans at all, one game a season glory hunting vermin IMO Invernessians hate ICT we need to accept we have about 3k loyal fans albeit consisting a large amount of incomers but without them we would be in a right pickle Our terrible home crowds are what they are let's just accept and move on as these threads are getting boring Dougal
  9. Boy did we need that result today, I'm delighted for Yogi seeing all the negativity been thrown at him since the Cup final Well done big man Dougal
  10. 3500 would be a really good attendance IMO Hopefully the discounted tickets will entice a few more to attend but I doubt it will have much difference although I will be delighted if I'm proved wrong I think it's a good gesture by the club though so fair play it will be very interesting to hear the attendance being announced on Saturday Dougal
  11. With the all the athletics starting at the commonwealth games we can only hope someone else will also do a disappearing act if it works like this Anyway back on topic it's clearly evident that we have gone downhill since the managerial change. The results and our drop down the table is the evidence that we are on the slide and it's quite remarkable that the happy clappers still line up to tell us that everything is rosey in the garden You only have to look at Forans behaviour on the pitch the last few games to see that desperation is creeping in Having said that it still is very early days for Hughes he must be given more time I personally hope he turns this round as say what you like he is a genuine and likeable big guy What's more don't think ICT could afford to sack him anyway what with the length of contract he signed Dougal
  12. Looked to me that Yogi set out for penalties from the off. Dropping Doran clearly said to me that he wasn't going to have a go anyway. Unbelievably negative tactics for a cup final. Other that Dorans effort we never troubled Langfield the whole game which is very disappointing. As for our so called fans I thought it was disgusting how many left as soon as the penalties finished. Hundreds if not thousands streamed out before our players went up to get their medals a total disgrace in my eyes and they should be ashamed of themselves Dougal
  13. Sorry but I fail to see how you think we gave it a right go. Hughes set us out in a way not to lose rather than an attempt to win, he saturated the midfield in attempt to stop Aberdeen which worked I guess but resulted in a very poor game Soon as I heard Doran was on the bench I knew what the tactics were and that it was going to be pretty negative stuff Dougal
  14. ^^^^^ Going to the Louden Tavern Dougal
  15. Thought this could be an interesting thread hearing what everybody's travel/plans are getting to the game I will start it off, I'm actually driving down to Glasgow on Saturday morning, booked into the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Meal and a few beers Saturday night a late breakfast Sunday morning then taxi up the gallowgate to find a bar reasonably close to the piggery so the final walk/stagger isn't too far Staying on Sunday night too so one huge pub crawl walking back into the city centre regardless of the result What's your plans? Dougal
  16. Dougal, a rocking chair for the composer and an electric chair for you. That's a bit harsh I like Val Doonican Dougal
  17. I know the pics could be deceiving but they look smaller than I anticipated Thought the plan was to get one huge surfer flag? Anyway I really like the one on the left not keen on the other one though a bit cringeworthy Dougal
  18. 7000 is 7000 and everyone who has bought a ticket should be proud but for a cup final it's pretty disappointing if we are all being honest Remember County took 17k to their cup final which is more than double what we are taking I honestly thought we could have mustered 10k but unless there is some late activity this sadly does not look like being achievable When you consider the amount of incomers that bolster that 7k you do wonder how many actual Invernessians will be in attendance Anyway it is what it is and 7k will still add to what should be a wonderful day and atmosphere and one I'm looking forward to greatly Bring it on Dougal
  19. I would rather live my life as if there was a God and die to find out that there isn't ,than live as if there isn't and to die to find that there is. Dougal
  20. Ok away supports do look like they have dropped but that's possibly because some fans are probably choosing County over us due to our stadium location and poorer match day experience I agree due to cost trips up north are getting more expensive so some will have to make a choice Dougal
  21. Definitely seems to be a breakdown in communication between the club/caleyjagsforever regarding ticket sales and the fans Aberdeen seem to have managed to keep their fans informed how ticket sales have gone whereas we get silence I've got my ticket early doors but it would have been nice to know how ticket sales have been going Dougal
  22. Think we are all getting pretty desperate if we are looking at this as an excuse why our ticket sales have been so poor As it stands at the moment we are in danger of taking the lowest ever support to a national cup final and blaming that on the church is quite ludicrous Dougal
  23. Think you will find they do, it's maybe passed you unnoticed that our average home attendance is dropping each year and it's only games against the likes of County and Celtic that we now see decent turn outs In this financial climate and the state the Scottish game is in ICT need as much help as they can get because present home crowds can't sustain a top flight club forever Dougal
  24. Fair point I find it a bit odd that folk are expected to fork out money without knowing what design has been given the green light Dougal
  25. Any idea how many we've sold so far? Hearing Aberdeen have sold their initial allocation of 37k which is quite remarkable, can see the piggery being turned into a sea of red as they appear to be asking for more tickets Don't want to be too negative but can't help but think with backing like that they will start on the front foot Dougal
