You have to applaud the Gellions for starting such a venture. Inverness must be the only town/city till now that doesn't have a supported club running from a local boozer. Cant help thinking that caleyjagsforever must be silently seething not that they would admit it though Gives the day to day punter a choice which is a good thing Putting it simply if you want to bake cakes and sing shania twain songs you go with caleyjagsforever but if you want the traditional football experience you go with the gellions Dougal

Yeah every time you log on without fail Anyway surely these gentlemen have now set a precedent, if these two stewards are on duty next season we will surely see an empty away stand within five minutes of the game starting when Sevco are back in town Dougal

^^^^^^ Without doubt took various hidings from Aberdeen and Hibs when a Celtic scarfer. Probably explains why he's soft in the head now Like jagster says it's hard to believe two thirds of Scottish clubs allegedly have these type of groups Other than the usual old firm behaviour I can only remember a skirmish between Hearts and St Johnstone when both clubs were both in the highlands the same day I assume we are one of the clubs that don't have such a group attached mainly due to our relatively low attendances and the keyboard warriors Dougal

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35544730 Having experienced this first time should we be worried about unrest on the streets of Sneck or are the authorities/media simply overreacting? Dougal

http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/inverness/1342582-ross-draper-i-may-not-have-signed-new-deal-if-ict-had-plastic-pitch/ Well said Ross it's about time someone spoke out regarding this nonsense, think I speak for the majority of ICT fans regarding this subject; ICT must never lay an artificial surface they play on grass and they will continue to do so, there is enough plasticity as it is without adding to it Ok the surfaces have vastly improved since the QPR or Luton days back in the 80s but the surface is still highly dangerous and players don't want to play on it as the chance of injury increases ten fold Leave it for the MLS where disney characters etc can dance about on it, the only clubs that have introduced it in this country are those that try and get an unfair advantage on their opponents Dougal

Looking forward to hearing the aftermath of this private meeting "When the women's guild meets green street!!! Lets hope caleyjagsforever behave themselves Dougal

Kingsmills you certainly ain't the brightest but I suppose you lot weren't called the fools from up the hill for nothing The point is without naming certain businesses they exclusively plough money into County and ignore their local team (us!) completely Over the years there are even some that have switched their allegiances totally from us to them, if that doesn't sound the alarm bells well I don't know what will I'm no talking joe the plumber or bill the baker here I'm talking huge companies that put in serious money over the course of a season The same goes with matchday hospitality speak to any business they much prefer the Dingwall experience, whether you like it or not our northern neighbours are doing something right off the park when it comes to attracting sponsorship Dougal

Good luck tonight DonInPeace if you are going Pittodrie you might get the chance to meet IHE as he will no doubt be in amongst the away support singing his sectarian anthems Sad thing is about this latest debacle is that's it's somewhat soured a very good relationship between both clubs and both sets of supporters Dougal

Wtf? This has got to be a joke right? Pity this kind of clips weren't available when I was playing all those years ago, certainly would have helped us progress in the Highland Amateur Cup Dougal
-
To be honest I think it's too late to worry about the County marketing machine the damage to an extent is already done Next derby through in a Dingwall check out all the advertisement boarding you will see the majority are Inverness based investors, companies and businesses You got to ask the question why this is??? Dougal

This photo could actually have been taken on the Caleyjagsforever bus on their way to Mosset Park,Forres in a pre season friendly a couple of years ago The very same day they were baking cakes on the bus prior to the game and that folks is a true story Dougal

The famous Aberdeen are let's just say not that famous anymore, dons fans very much live in the past I'm afraid the days are long gone when top players want to go to ply their trade in Aberdeen Greg may well have secured a higher weekly wage but he probably knew the standard of football wasn't any greater and there's no comparison in living standards between Sneck and Aberdeen Dougal

I'd go as far as saying County have as many born and bred Invernessians fans as we do, they even have an official supporters club in the city run from the Tarry Isle bar I think Whether it being clever marketing or other factors they have recruited wisely and steadily since gaining access to the senior leagues Ross-shire,Sutherland,Caithness,Skye,Western Isles and certain parts of Inverness have embraced County whereas we have struggled as we seem to be playing second fiddle Inverness have also active supporters clubs from Celtic,Rangers,Aberdeen,Hearts,Dundee,Dundee Utd,St Johnstone and even Man Utd in the city When you also throw in the Merkinch/Clach fans who openly despise us it's no wonder we struggle to get fans with an Inverness postcode We have been very fortunate in the last two decades that Inverness has grown dramatically because the influx of incomers to the city has swelled our numbers Dougal

Why the secrecy? Caleyjagforever and their deciples on CTO normally can't wait to bump their gums on trivial matters but when something like this comes along the silence is deafening It's about time this group realised they represent their own membership only and not the entire ICT support Dougal

I agree with rimet, Barry Wilson saw it how it was and commented on it honestly. Yogi undoubtedly sets us out for clean sheets at home hoping to Nick a goal or two on the counter attack or after a long spell of possession I fully understand what he is trying to do but it takes time to get a system like that to work as its more a continental type of strategy which is more adapted to the technical side of the game It can work there's no doubt but these systems like and other changes in the workplace need time to bed in Dougal

Yogi is an honest laddie, he would have thought long and hard before making such a public statement in my opinion Lets not forget there is a player who obviously needed to be told!! It's quite ironic that the same posters who ain't happy about the public statement are the same posters who complain that the club are always too secretive on other matters Dougal

3566 was very disappointing and it reiterates my point regarding what born and bred invernessians think of ICT To be fair to the club I don't really know what more they can do to try and entice people to attend Dougal

A pie and a bovril is very much part of the matchday experience and it has been for generations of fans and long may it continue. Doesn't surprise me the likes of Bannerman can't get his head round it but when your munching your way through free sandwiches and guzzling cappuccinos he never will Our neighbours seem to have the right idea using a local baker for their pies, you only have to look at threads on P&B to see how highly they are rated by away fans travelling north Dougal

Joint Statement Regarding Pyro at Matches
dougal replied to ICT Supporters Trust's topic in Caley Thistle
The exact same question could be asked about your experience/knowledge prior to 1994 Regardless football has become a lot less enjoyable in modern times, no longer the working mans game the middle class moved in and the game is slowly dying Dougal -
Wouldn't it have been wonderful back in the day had the Scottish Cup format been like this when the Highland League was really strong Without doubt many more so called stronger senior outfits would have a lot more eliminations to non league teams It would have also highlighted how much Thistle had actually deteriorated in their last ten years of existence Dougal

The complete silence alone and the failure to respond says it all You might be interested I'm thinking of writing a book regarding athletics in the 1980s in particular the great rivalries between Seb Coe, Steve Ovett and Steve Cram in the 800m and 1500m I will be honest I'm not an avid athletics man by any means but I'm sure if I tell everyone I'm an expert someone might believe me Dougal

Maybe Chris77 might moderate with less of an iron hand? I'm certainly no expert on either but twitter and Facebook do seem to prize fans away from traditional fans forums You are more likely to get both sides of opinions on twitter and Facebook whereas you tend to get a happy clapping one sided blinkered view on some club forums Dougal

Afraid Yogi showed a real lack of professionalism at full time, the way he greeted the opposition and particularly John Collins any neutral would have thought they were celebrating a win for the same team Think it's time a one of his employers maybe had a wee word in his ear regarding his Celtic love interest as if it continues he could find himself ostracised Performance was ok I guess but bearing in mind this is the worst Celtic team since the early nineties I agree there is a hell of a lot to work on Dougal

What was the lad meant to do put on the Celtic top which he would have been requested to do so by his new employers and sit with a glum face to please the likes of yourself? He should have refrained wearing the top until after this loan deal whether that be in January or the summer All he has now done is alienate himself to a section of the ICT support Dougal
