Im happy however many we take as i will be there supporting the team I love. But i have to say i am disappointed that we are struggling to even sell the initial allocation that we were given. I understand that the Scottish cup would pull more people in as it is the bigger tournament and played in a warmer month at a traditional time on a Saturday. But this is the biggest game in the clubs history and win, lose or draw and also make to the may show-piece this is bigger as it is the first. Aberdeen are a bigger club but the amount of tickets they have sold show how much this means to them as it has been so long since they have been to a final. We have a core of 3,000 and it only takes each one of them to take an extra person to already be at 7,000. This maybe the league cup but for us it may be the last cup final for while (hopefully not) but i wish people would show some passion for a club that is trying to engage with the community. Hopefully we gub United by 5 or 6 on Sunday and it suddenly starts a quick surge in last minute sales.

someone mentioned on P&B that we have sold 6,000 so far
-
Yeah Aberdeen have been mobbed for tickets but a lot on P&B are now worried they wont get a ticket as there is not a lot more room to get more tickets and the have warned that Monday's general sale may be cancelled. They are urging all fans who have no booking history who want a ticket to buy a ticket for the Dumbarton to be eligible to get a ticket. I agree that this situation has turned some Dons fans into complete bellends as they are complaining about us complaining about our initial split allocation as the top tier of the LL stand may not get used if we cant sell more tickets. One poster thought it would be better to do it like the Old firm segregation where Rangers get a healthy allocation and share half of the LL stand with Celtic. I don't know how many we have shifted so far but it would be nice if we could open the top tier and fill a few sections if it was possible.

Does anyone know how many we have sold

seen the highlights and it doesnt matter what formation you put out if you defend like that then you are bound to be punished. I don't think 4-4-2 at parkhead is very clever but tbf to yogi we may have had a chance to attack them if we hand not conceded to poor goals at the front post. Also the only way you are going to trouble a team like Celtic is if you have some pace in your team. Now playing Vincent and Ross on the wings is not going to do that, Watkins should have played and then at least we have someone with genuine pace who can get the Celtic back 4 going towards there own goal. Anyway it has happened we can't do much so lets move on to a bigger game for us next week

I wasn't at the game but from most of the reply s it sounds like we didn't do ourselves any justice today. I think one of those days and we now forget it as we have bigger fish to fry. On match of day you always here when a club lower down the table has to take the points from the teams around them and anything against the better sides is a bonus, well i think this is the case here. 5-0 is disappointing after the other two matches we have played against Celtic this season but they re still the run away leaders can dwarf us in any category and after midweek it was always unlikely that we would get much . Lets forget and move on, huge game up next vs Dundee united in the cup where we could get a place in the semi which would be fantastic. They may have picked up form but they are still very young and not invincible. Hibs i hope will be a formality as they were rank rotten on Friday night and then it is our big day in the sun. It hasnt been a great day and think 2nd place is going to be very hard to retrieve now but Motherwell only beat Hearts so in fairness was expected to win today but we can still grab 3rd and the European spot instead. Hopefully (even though we wont face the quality of Celtic anywhere else) this will just come as a timely reminder that we still have jobs to do and that yes it is exciting but we must just play every game as it comes. We haven't become a bad team overnight, we just faced a better side with a major point to prove so i am not worried at all.

yep slade come feel the noise at United it goes comon davie moyes play like fergies boys we go wah wah wah good song but not very accurate unfortunately

I rang up to get 6 on Tuesday afternoon and it took me about 20 minutes of recalling to get through to the ticket office so it must be busy. Remember there is still 2 weeks until the game so if half of the initial allocation has gone then it may not take long now the general sale is in full swing to move to the original allocation and hopefully beyond. If people want to miss this massive occasion then that is there loss, great if we can get a big crowd but ive got mine so bring on the big day

I know it is frustrating that we don't get the coverage and respect from the central belt but I don't think we should get upset as I think it just plays into our hands and allows us to get on with our business in the background.

Matchday Thread Ross County -V- Inverness C.T.
gingerjaggy replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
Sounded on oam as a very comfortable victory. I wasn't at the game but I just firstly want to say what a fantastic job the media team are doing in giving a great comprehensive commentary of the game, very well done boys. To the game and I hardly saw any tweet and I robbo was definitely taken a back when County had a chance. From some of tweets it looks like County fans are angry at such an abject performance and maybe it was but if Adams wants to seethe then he only need to look in the mirror and give it to himself. From what Robbo was saying they were so attacking that it played straight into our counter attacking game plan. Now the onus is on them as the home team to attack to win the game but it sounds like it was a very poor tactical performance by Adams as well as a poor performance by those players on the park. Apart from the cup game last season every derby especially in Dingwall with the narrow pitch was tight with little space. If Adams has over done it and given us so much space then what boob he is and well the result certainly shows that hahahahahaha. Wonderful result still in it for 3rd place at least and still got 2 over Aberdeen so not impossible. What a time though to start returning to form with a cup final round the corner.- 129 replies

If people want to know where the small section in the corner is i think this is the view
-
I wouldn't worry about that. Aberdeen are like that as they have a system with season ticket holders as they have a lot more and will have large demand for tickets. From what i believe we have a 3 day season ticket, shareholder and people who attended the hearts match period and then it will be open for the rest of us. Whatever the date when we start selling it will be nowhere near as late as 6 days before the final for general sale fans getting a ticket.

I think it is quite good that we now have a little while before we play at home going by all the accounts of the state of the pitch. Listened to the game and it didnt sound brilliant but in the cup against lower league opposition it doesn't matter how you do it, you just make sure you get the job done. We have to improve against better sides but we have to adapt to every single match that will never be the same. We played some great stuff and somehow failed to win on sat but tonight we had to struggle through but we did and i think for me that is a very good positive about this team. Lets not kid ourselves Stranraer are lower than us and are part time but part time teams do work hard to make sure they can compete and after having such a great season so far they were full of confidence and lets face it with nothing to lose; it was always a potential bananna skin. It wasnt just tonight the first leg was also a battle but the media can slate us all they like ever the performance, crowd or the pitch nobody will give an absolute donkeys if we lift the trophy in May. As i like to say you have to be in it to win it and we most certainly are.

Totally agree but i can't understand why. Had it been a bigger club like the Edinburgh sides, either half of Old Firm or Dundee United then the ground would be full and the fat cats at the SPFL would be rubbing there hands at the spectacle of a full ground with colour and passion on both sides. We could bring this but not the same numbers so I don't understand why they are trying to disadvantage us further by making these ridiculous decisions when they need to attract a many fans as they can to sell it. Seeing loads of empty seats and killing the atmosphere is just cutting there own noses off to spite there faces. This final is a great story to get behind. Aberdeen making there first final for many years going through a mini revival and us with a great story of it being our 20th anniversary and first ever national final. The hardest thing to take is i don't even think that the SPFL keep doing this on purpose, the saddest thing is they are incompetent and ruining the game overall
-
25 quid for a ticket to the biggest game in our clubs history and yet half of us may end up watching half a game sitting behind a pole. Sometimes i wonder if the beaks at the SPFL are actually infants who have no concept of making sensible decisions that an adult can understand. These people are a disgrace and should never be allowed to have such power to run the game if they continue to make gaffs of this magnitude every single time they never learn.
-
no plans from us as we are contesting it, this could take a while to sort out
-
I think we should stop over analysing the fact we failed to score seeing as we hit the woodwork 4 times and MacDonald had one of those days otherwise we could have had a hat full so lets take the performance into our bogey ground and hopefully covert 1 or 2 chances to get a much needed 3 points. But first lets dispose of Stranraer and get into the last 8 of the scottish cup
-
Just wait until we pump them in the final the wheels will soon come off
-
wasn't at the game but it sounds like it was a bit of a one sided game. Unfortunately you do get games like these but I would rather hear about the game going the way it did than hearts sitting in and we failed to do anything in a bit of bore draw. Yes we do have a lot of ground now to make up but if we continue to play in the same vein then results will get better. I feel sorry for Hughes slightly in the fact that he is trying to stamp his mark on a team that was going great under Butcher. He likes possession football where as Butcher was more direct but still tried to play on the ground. It is 2 points dropped we are still a better team than anyone below us and if we can get these performances on a regular basis then who knows. Aberdeen are the strongest side in the league behind Celtic but they won by a penalty today so they still have potential to lose games or drop points. We are in Cup final, potential last 8 of the Scottish Cup and still looking good for a top 6 finish and maybe better I don't think that is bad going.
-
looks very compact but we will just have to take it
-
I hope the players don't go into the replay with the attitude that we are bound to win. I would expect the opposite after today. Wasnt at the game but if we dodged a bullet then the players will know not to underestimate them in the replay
