What we all knew
In most cases though, in addition to money, the players are moving on to better their careers by playing football at a higher level. To drop 3 divisions into a league of part-timers though, when you have plenty of other options, truly earns him the description.

Sandaza has now been suspended over this. I can understand why Rangers are taking that action, but if you knowingly employ a blatant mercenary you've got to expect him to be receptive to any better offers from elsewhere!

Reguero to Kilmarnock?
6 weeks after this CTO "exclusive" revealed by Red Card, today's BBC Gossip refers to the Daily Express: Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels has set his sights on Marian Kello and Antonio Reguero as he looks for a replacement for Cammy Bell, who is expected to join Rangers in the summer. (Express)

Stats of the day - SPL goals in 1 season
Billy Mackay is currently on a remarkable 20 SPL goals, with 7 games left to play. If he could somehow make it to 25, only Kris Boyd and Henrik Larsson have done better. The SPL's highest ever tally for a non-Old Firm player is 21 (Stokes for Hibs in 09/10) which would appear achievable for Billy - but also for Higdon (20) or Griffiths (19). Griffiths may actually have the best opportunity to be top scorer, if Hibs end up with easier games in the bottom 6. The SPL's top scorer has always been either a Celtic or Rangers player, but at the moment Hooper (16) is the only one even in the top 12.

ICT -V- Ross County
A hypothetical and rather pointless question, but just out of interest, would Foran's header have gone in anyway if Shinniesta hadn't applied the final touch? Certainly looks like it was still heading over the line after Fraser's attempt to stop it - the only doubt being whether the defender on the far post would have been able to reach it in time.

Confirmed: Top 6
The teams you are concerned about could all catch us by the split, but even if they did we'd still be 6th!

Hot tub
The best thing about this hot tub hospitality is that you wouldn't miss any of the game if you needed a pee.

Did Adams really say that?
At risk of turning this thread into "Did Terry really say that?" I had to laugh at the quotes in the Daily Record article Mantis linked to earlier: I think its fair to say he was quite happy about this win.

With Hibs losing last night, we ARE in top 6 regardless of result in Dundee Derby because we are 7 ahead of Hibs who would drop to 7th if United win, so we are going to be either 7 or 8 ahead of 7th with 6 left to play for before split. Incorrect. Whilst Hibs aren't a threat to us any more,St J and Killie can still match our tally, with Celtic, Well and County and Utd able to get more points than us.

Nae me anyway, I'm in Magdeburg, fecking gutted at missing the game Are we not now safely in top six slot after Hibs being beaten last night? I think we are Mike but Statto will be along in a minute to correct me As I just said on the other thread: Incredibly we are still not quite over the line, yet. If all remaining results went against us, we could be level on points with 2 other teams with 5th, 6th and 7th then determined by goal difference - which would almost certainly be in our favour anyway. If Dundee Utd fail to win tomorrow we'll be officially top 6.
