Duff is a sort of utility/midfield/right back player, which decribes what Proctor has been for us too. I would question whether we need both of them, but I think I'd rather have Duff.

I'm not sure he is being brought in with the intention of being a first team regular though, given that he has very little first team experience - never played for Watford, 7 games for Stockport and 5 for Carlisle. But he'll get his chance here to earn a place, and if he does well we'll no doubt try to get him on a PCA in January. When Dods became free, I'm sure I wasn't the only person to wonder whether or not he could fill a gap in our defence, again. He was probably the best defender we have ever had.
