Partick -V- ICT : matchday thread
Match should have been abandoned. Can we commence a lengthy legal appeal process? Partick like that sort of thing.

Perhaps we should let the opposition take the lead.

last game of the season
Nothing to be embarrased about, they are the better team. The best team doesn't always win though.

Team for Partick
Best retort I've seen for ages. Renegade Jnr outwitted by his Dad?

Dundee -V- ICT : cup final thread
The gathering in the Tulloch pre-match was reminiscent of the golf club we used to go to when we played home games at Pittodrie. I'll book us in now for next year's final. :D

?600 fine for Dundee fan who swore when trying to rally their fans to sing. Narrowly avoided a banning order because the judge was a Dee fan and at the match. http://news.stv.tv/scotland/139352-fan-esc...-over-disorder/

Dundee -V- ICT : cup final thread
How many people realised that Dundee's first goal (credited to Higgins by the announcer) was actually a bullet header by Bulvitis?

Actually for a few seconds objects were raining down. Mostly pies i think.

Dundee -V- ICT : cup final thread
You've got to bear in mind that it's at least 15 years since they won anything at all (B&C Cup?) and this was a big game for them.

Dundee -V- ICT : cup final thread
We were great in the 1st half and should have been further ahead. Once Dundee got 1 back you knew it was going to be a different game, and when they got their 2nd you knew it was all over. You can't say we set out to defend in the 2nd half because we kept the same line up and formation and had a chance to go 3 up before they scored. We did however tire massively as the game went on and that should have been addrfesses before the 90th minute, Terry. Hayes had nothing left after a brilliant first 45.

Game ON!
Clear blue skies at the moment.

Pre match
Close, it's called the Capital Asset! Used to be a bad night club called the Jazz Bank though, and that's where I met my current wife. At Broxden services there is a Harvester family pub/restaurant, used to be called Brewsters! Easy to find and park. Not sure if you'll get much pre-match craic in these places though.

Game ON!
No rain just now, hopefully it stays that way all night.

Game ON!
We'll play it in your back garden then! I'll happily make it available to the SFL. Crowd might have to be a bit restricted. No Dees! Our lot might fit in though. The players will have to share one shower though. The match officials can have the shed.

Game ON!
I live about a mile from McDiarmid. I've just been out in the back garden and it is rather sodden but entirely PLAYABLE!

Game ON!
Chucking it down here this afternoon.

Pele's New Book
The only time I ever spoke to him was when I bumped into him when he was buying lottery tickets in Perth, where the team bus stopped for lunch. I made some comment about using any winnings to buy a new striker, but he just looked at me. I never saw whether or not he then crossed the road to the bookies where some of the team were.

Great goal by France against Ireland
The very best Ireland could hope for is that France are publicly shamed into offering a replay. But given what is at stake, they won't.

ALBA CUP FINAL
OK, so what does that mean for our tactics?
-
Great goal by France against Ireland
Hmmm. In that example perhaps the ref (wrongly) believed that the beach ball had not interfered with play ie the shot was going in anyway and he didn't see it change direction? If that were the case then it was not a technical error.

Great goal by France against Ireland
Here's FIFA's ruling on the replayed match I referred to a few posts ago. It was a world Cup Qualifier in 2005. So the replay was ordered because the ref made a technical error (ie he didn't know the rules) rather than a misjudgement or not seeing something correctly. Perhaps Ireland could argue that the ref made a technical error in that he was clearly unaware than handling the ball is against the rules!

Great goal by France against Ireland
I was hearing that the Irish have found a precedent in that Uzbekistan v Bahrain was ordered to be replayed a few years ago, but I've no idea what happened there. If a missed handball were sufficient to require a replay, ICT would have Butcher buggering off over to Mexico for a rematch with Maradona.

Great goal by France against Ireland
Agreed, but at least France are more likely to do that. Remember 0-1 to 2-1 in injury time? :004:

Great goal by France against Ireland
That's easy. Whoever happens to be playing England!

Come on Johnboy !
Just this final P But what if it was ICT v Dunfermline? :004:
