  1. That's the club that Michael Stewart and Billy Mehmet have signed for. Looks like they've targeted Scotland for players. How many Scottish players have been happy and successful in Europe since the likes of Lambert, Collins and Brewster about 10 years ago?
  2. I suspect this is just a story to cover up some jetpack related high jinks. Probably got injured playing Quidditch with Jim Leishman.
  3. Royal Antwerp are the team that have a tie-up with Man U, and get a lot of their youngsters on loan. They've had the likes of O'Shea and Chadwick in recent years. And like most Belgian teams, they are likely to have quite a few players from Africa and maybe even South America, because Belgium gives out work permits a lot more readily than other EU countries.
  4. Will this be the first time we've had royalty at TCS since Wyness left?
  5. Another point that didn't come out at first is that 3 of the first Israeli soldiers to land on the boat (and get beaten up) were then chained and held hostage in the lower decks. Unsurprisingly their colleagues launched a rescue mission, and that's when the killings happened.
  6. I think he was told he was free to find a new club, but wasn't paid off, so he is still under contract with Dundee.
  7. Richie Hart loaned from Dundee to Sweden's Osterunds FK for 6 months.
  8. Ah, but Perth doesn't have an airport! (And bafore anyone suggests it, Scone International doesn't count)
  9. Speak for yourself, I'm only 15!
  10. I would expect it to be Hamilton - Celtic, with perhaps Hearts Aberdeen as a Monday night match.
  11. It has kind of been revived by a Scottish sweet shop called something along the lines of Kremola Fizz. My missus got me some for my birthday, by mail order online. Very pricey, but has a similar bicarb effect, sickly sweetness and horrendous colouring that I recall from my childhood, and from my teenage years when it was a great mixer for vodka.
  12. If I had to die, I suppose there are worse ways to go than at the top of the world doing something I love, not long after I'd seen ICT scale their own Everest. RIP
  13. It's a sure sign that summer has arrived when the Dee fans start coming out with their usual annual p1sh!
  14. Killie are looking for a new management team after Calderwood decided he couldn't work with the playing budget on offer and the Chairman's insistence that Sandy Clark had to go as part of cost cutting measures. Things are looking pretty bleak at Rugby Park. :003: :003:
  15. I've removed a couple of posts that were getting a bit too personal.
  16. If Utd really don't want to play us or Hamilton, and they want their derbies back, they should have appointed Brewster again rather than Houston.
  17. Poll Result. Jimmy Calder the winner with Charlie Christie not too far behind, then Barry Wilson 3rd. Hard to argue with that. 128 Calder 114 Christie 70 Wilson 42 Mann 33 Sheerin 6 Tokely 5 Hastings 5 Wyness 1 Golabek 1 Teasdale 0 McCulloch
  18. Fixed it :011:
  19. I checked this out, it was just 3 on the bench in those days. Celtic had a sub keeper that night (Stewart Kerr) but we didn't.

Cup final ???? Exactly. They proved themselves to be sh1te. In the last 5 years 3 First division teams reached the cup final so its hardly a novelty or an incredible achievement. And the previous teams at least put up a fight and a good performance. As for beating Celtic, they were put out of the Scottish cup by (mostly weaker) first division teams 4 times in the last 10 years so again, it's hardly a novelty or an incredible achievement. But I don't grudge them the "special achievement" award for the cup run. The team that came from nowhere to romp the league by 12 points, scoring more goals than anyone, going 21 games unbeaten and doing the clean sweep of beating all the other teams in their last 9 games, was the real team of the year. We all know that.

Well done to both. I can understand and agree with County getting a special achievement award, but Team of the Year as well? Nonsense. They are the 5th best team in the SFL.
  22. There was a typo, we are actually sending our Under 9's to face Strathspey.
  23. I'm guessing it won't be Dinamo Bucharest. As for the holiday to Blackpool, I don't think we'd be attractive opposition for the local team now they are Premiership, but there are plenty of other teams in the North-West. Preston, Morecambe, Chorley, maybe even Burnley again?
  24. Can we do a prediction as to when they will be in the shop? 30th August.
