New Zealand vs. Bahrain
Oops, I managed to erase from my mind Berti leading us to a famous 1-1 draw v NZ at Tynecastle in 2003. Scotland team included Brian Kerr and other superstars like Paul Devlin, Maurice Ross and Andy Gray.

New Zealand vs. Bahrain
Well NZ made, 1-0 on aggregate. Last time I saw them play (and probably the only time) was at Espana 82. Scotlland's 5-2 win seemed good at the time but was arguably the result that put us out.

Pele's New Book
The book is nothing to do with ICT. Try Amazon. (It's a big river that has millions of books floating in it, and the North Atlantic drift brings them to your door.)

Pele's New Book
As I recall it, ICT were well aware that their manager was hot property and offered a long term deal, as an incentive to turn down the Utd job. The key terms of it were agreed in principle with Pele but the contract was never signed. I'm not sure if this was just because of the time it takes contracts to go through lawyers and agents, or if the club were slow, or if it was because Pele knew that the Aberdeen job was imminent and he wanted to keep his options open. (It was widely rumoured that having initially agreed to go to utd he changed his mind at the last minute because he was advised by someone to sit tight and the Dons job would be his, but I don't know if that is true. Hopefully his book will clarify!) I believe though that despite the absence of a signed contract Pele ensured that ICT were fairly compensated, so it didn't make any difference in th end.

Have Dundee got it
Recent history shows that the Division 1 title is easily bought, and Dundee are the only team with money. When their Chairman goes public saying that they intend buying Utd's Robertson for ?500,000 in January it just highlights the gulf in resources. OK they might not get him, but will simply spend elsewhere to ensure they fulfil their ambition.

Pele's New Book
He's doing a book signing session at the stadium on Thursday evening, then at Waterstones on Saturday, and then at Elgin and Huntly later in the month. Not Aberdeen though!

Potential future manager
For those points of the job spec, there is nobody, absolutely nobody, with more managerial potential than than Bobby Mann. However, fitness training might be a weakness....

Where did it all go wrong
If he had picked the team for Brewster we might have done a bit better :004:

Poll: Where will we finish in the league
I went for 3rd because I believe we can and will improve, but not by enough to catch or even keep up with Dundee and whichever other team keeps their momentum going.

Poll: Where will we finish in the league
Simple question. With us now more than a third of the way into the season and having played every team at least once, what league position do you think we will be in at the end of the season?

Butchers Jobs
The Scottish commentary team is only seen in Scotland. Why they are commentating on English team games when Rangers are in action is another question, but was perhaps an inspired move by STV to prevent undue suffering.

January signings
Possibly a loan deal from Rangers as they are desparate for money and Butcher has connections there? But would Boyd actually get a start ahead of Rooney?
