  1. Proving that he's not as good as Barrowman.

Has the poor lad inherited a genetic defect?
  3. Most of the developments described by Charles as "lucky" were actually the result of brave decisions and initiatives from the boardroom.
  4. Really? You can't have seen many of them.
  5. Yes, the New Year's day one The Fly drove up to overnight from London!
  6. Presumably someone somehwere has thousands of pies needing a good home?
  7. Sadly it is on the official site that the derby is off.
  8. Not a bad result against the best team in the league. Anyone still hoping for promotion must surely now accept its all over though - including our Board?
  9. That's pretty poor under the circumstances.
  10. "Lionel........it's behind you!"
  11. I think it's possible that Levein would have become ICT manager if Leicester had sacked him a few days before they did. The board had just chosen Charlie when this happened, but you'd have to think that Levein would have been a more attractive, proven option. Some might say he'd never have joined us or we couldn't afford him, but he went to 2nd Division Raith Rovers. Levein must now be rueing that missed opportunity.
  12. The compensation Utd are set to receive of ?250k is pretty much the same as they paid us to get Brewster and Malky, which doesn't really seem fair.
  13. They shouldn't be talking to Levein then. He's very strong minded, and has clashed with SFA a few times over the years.
  14. Not even in the top 100. And I really can't believe people are still talking about promotion.
  15. When's the penny going to drop with our fans? 1) We can't afford to keep these players on, unless they take significant wage cuts. 2) Good players won't want to commit to a mediocre mid-table first division club if they think they can do better. 3) We are going to have a new management team in place within 6 months, so there's no point extending Butcher's failing team. Let the new manager pick his own squad and rebuild.
  16. Ahem. I think he borrowed Russell Duncan's passing boots :11doh: Great minds.....
  17. Like Rooney of old? I suppose you could say he got into good positions! There were also a couple of opportunities where he was just outpaced by their defenders, but the same could be said for Sanchez and Hayes too.
  18. I think he borrowed Russell Duncan's passing boots :023: Duff was average. Cox got better and better as the game went on and controlled over the central midfield.
  19. Just home, we really should have won today. Rooney missed 4 decent chances when put through, but poked one wide and the rest straight into the keeper's arms. Sanchez could also have done a lot better with a late chance, and same goes for whoever it was who fired at the keeper from 18 yards (Cox or Munro?). Very slippy and snowy pitch which had a big effect on the game. You'd think that Danni Snowshoes might struggle having never seen the cold white stuff before, but he was really good today. Foran also had a good game with some great through balls for Rooney.

Steve would know what to expect going on this show, and its nothing more than gentle ribbing along with plenty of plugs for his book so he wont mind.

My all time favourite ICT player. But would he do a better job on the right than Hayes? Can't see it. Would he be a good coach? I've no idea. I would hope so, but where's the proof?! Being a legend isn't enough. So I'm firmly in the not sure camp.
  22. Including being sarcastic with it of course.
  23. It's funny, I don't recall anything positive being said about the previous caterers when they were still around! That's possibly one reason why the club ditched them, along with the fact that they couldn't be arsed turning up when they had a more lucrative opportunity one match day. Hopefully Lindleys will listen to feedback and learn from their mistakes.
  24. By the end of the season they will be more like 20 points ahead of us. Mark my words!
  25. Just relieved the match wasn't abandoned. Always good to get a win, but I've already got that "meaningless end of season" feeling that accompanies mid-table mediocrity.
