  1. I'm trying to remember when Broonie last saved a penalty. Does anyone know how many he has faced and saved? I know that the keeper has no chance if the penalty is taken really well, but not many of them are struck that well and a keeper should save a proportion. It's bizarre that one of the best keepers in the country seems to be hopeless at spot kicks. Whatever his approach, is it time to accept it's not working? Or is he just unlucky?

Err, we are! We are above 3 of those teams and just a point behind the other. "We WILL go down if Christie is not removed within the next few weeks." If you are wrong, will you : a) come back on here and admit to being a clueless overreactionary with an unfounded grudge against our manager and little knowledge about football, or b) Stop posting for ages, but then come back when we lose a few games next season and call for the manager's head. I think we all know the answer to that one.
  3. Cheers Bonzo - I had been wondering just how much or how little you actually know about football, but now you've removed any doubt!
  4. I heard a couple of days ago that Dundee Utd were trying to put together a player/coaching package to lure Pressly, but he can surely do a lot better than that.
  5. The defending was poor today, we really missed Dods' ability to take command and organise everything. Caff wasn't bad, he made some great challenges as ever, but what we had today was 4 individuals rather than 1 unit.

"we have to call a halt to these managerial apprenticeships" Aye, what did Robertson do for us? And then Brewster was such a disaster. Your post isn't stoopid, it's just p1sh! Every team has a bad run from time to time, and it's amazing how quickly some people have forgotten our good run.
  7. I noticed recently that Proctor was the only member of the first team squad to be played in a Forfarshire Cup tie. Not a good sign for him. He was also one of the more guilty parties when Utd were leaking goals in the weeks before Levein came in. Robson on the other hand has been their best player over the last few seasons.
  8. Does that mean Zander is the new Juanjo? :003: I like what little I've seen of him. Unfortunately i don't think Rory is as good as Bavidge, and Bavidge wasn't quite good enough for the first division. :007:

Is it not about 14 months since Brew last scored in the SPL?!
  10. The vast majority go for the upper tier, even though its £1 more. It's possibly the best view of the game away fans get in the SPL.
  11. Aye, you totally crawled back into your corner during our long unbeaten run. Bet you hated seeing Charlie getting his first Manager of the Month award, a mere 4 weeks ago. Presumably you were too embarrased to show your face round here. Some of our performances have been really poor, and most of us have concerns about certain players, tactics or managerial decisions. It's the same every season, with every manager. But the critics on this forum who earn the most respect are the ones who can either justify their views, or take the flack, when the team are doing well.
  12. The long run without goals is starting to be a wee bit of a concern, especially when we can't score at home against the team that has conceded the most this season. What's going on? :007:
  13. Keogh seems so much out of the picture these days that I wouldn't be surprised if he left altogether in the window.
  14. 0-0 FT. 2 points dropped?
  15. Getting back to the 1-0 win over Man Utd, does this result mean Celtic can now claim to be as good as Southend?
  16. The fact that the underdog can get outplayed dor so long as still somehow snatch a win is what makes football great, and what has made ICT fans celebrate on a few occasions over the years. I was smiling at full time despite having a few quid on Utd.

    Cheers Andy :015:
  18. Sounds like we were doing well until Charlie gambled by putting Wyness on for Wilson, then we seemd to lose the midfield battle.
  19. Well if it sells, I'm pretty sure it won't be a Clach fan buying it!
  20. Apparently it's normal if you go out in Halifax :017:

Plus Smith needs to be given the match practice just in case he needs to be called upon on Saturday.
  22. Humour me for a moment! Imagine a new country was discovered that was completely cut-off from the outside world, no TV etc. Imagine you gave them the rules of football but told them nothing else about the game, and then went back 20 years later to see how they were getting on with it. Do you think most of their teams would have devised and worked out for themselves that our world's standard formations (mainly 4-4-2) are the best way to play and win the game? Or do we just play it that way because of convention and pre-conceived ideas?
  23. Elgin v Buckie could be a good one.
  24. Yes, but would be much better if we were there!
