  1. He's rubbish. The Utd fans have been wanting rid of him for years. Hopefully we are just feigning interest to bump up the price St Mirren end up paying!
  2. Actually I worked in the industry for a while. I did double entry.
  3. :003: I think Birmingham City's owners made money in porn, but there was no resistance from the fans. They maybe don't have morals down there!
  4. I remember this guy from his Elgin bid. He is in cloud cuckoo land.
  5. We've never really replaced Sheerin as dependable (95% of the time) penalty taker. Get Wilson off the bench as soon as we are awarded one? Niculae probably deserves another chance, particulary now that his confidence and sharpness have improved.
  6. Think of it like Ebay. We put a reserve price on him of say ?65k (and when St Mirren met that minimum we confirmed that we would conditionally sell at that price if it was the best offer received), but then a higher bid came in and St Mirren lost the auction. Tough. Incredible that some people think we look amateur because we are holding out to get the best deal for ICT. We would be truly amateur if we took the first decent offer and stopped listening to better ones. The way we are playing this one shows that we have learned how to deal in the SPL.
  7. This topic has been moved to Rumour Mill. [iurl]http://www.caleythistleonline.com/community/index.php?topic=5904.0[/iurl]
  8. So why would he look at Byrne? Terrible player if you ask me.
  9. Presumably though our "hatricks for" count is higher than "hatricks against"? Actually when was our last one?
  10. Theres nothing official anywhere as far as I can see, but Real Radio are apparently reporting that we accepted a bid from Hibs. Can't imagine personal terms being a problem. Glad he's going there and not St Mirren or Falkirk.
  11. We get a bigger transfer fee if he is available for cup games with his future employer. We did miss him on the park, but I suppose Brew needs to see how the team performs without him. Now he knows the answer to that, while the transfer window is still open.
  12. He would have been free if we'd waited another 16 games.....most of which he'll be suspended for anyway. Just being better than Caff has earned him this move, but I'm not remotely convinced he's a long term solution. We can do better.
  13. Blackie was superb. Hopefully not just to impress his future employers? Alex - come off it!
  14. Oh well, the magic has indeed gone............until next season. Were we the only SPL team not in the draw for the next round? [Checks that this thread is in the Non-ICT forum :007: )
  15. Oh, and when Dean McDonald came on, we played a couple of high balls up to him when he was being marked by Rob Jones :029:
  16. Missed what looked like a good chance to equalise. Great run and cross from McBain, Nic didn't seem to connect properly.
  17. Blackie's performance was one of the few positives from today. For a while it seemed inevitable that he would see red, but he calmed himself down and got back to football after a word from the bench.
  18. Don't need to for his description of one particular match : Dup? ce am b?tut-o pe Celtic mi-a zis c? am fost "****ing brilliant!" :003: Oh, and he gets a Clio here, not the BMWs and Mercedes of his previous clubs. Edit : tried a few bits in a dodgy online translator, but it made more sense in Romanian. A bit about his contract might to be saying that if all goes well, the club has offered to extend beyond 2009 and build the team around him!
  19. Don't know, but this was in Fife. Probably available in all good bookshops all Sainsbury stores in Scotland, you would think.
  20. I'd never heard of it before, but saw it for sale in Sainsburies today. It is a magazine covering North of Scotland sport. This month's edition includes an interview with Grant Munro. The people behind the magazine have backgrounds in Highland football : Dave McGinlay, Bill McAllister, Duncan Shearer and Neale Cooper. I'm surprised that there was no mention of Charles Bannerman!
  21. A very sensible approach. But when has not knowing the facts ever stopped us having a lively discussion here?! :015:
  22. Agree with all of that. Very unfortunate for us tomorrow that he knows ICT so well, and a new manager always gives a struggling team a lift. But Parkie deserves a good job like this one.
  23. Is this sad development performance related or cost cutting? I'd guess the latter is at the very least a factor.
