  1. Lee Miller been called up, FFS!
  2. Saw a newspaper headline at the weekend about Ralph Milne drinking 19 pints a day. Some might say this explains some of his posts here. Sounds like another legend who has fallen upon hard times - mind you, nobody got rich playing under Jim MacLean. I know a Utd fan who was down in south west England a few years ago, and happened to be told that if he went into a certain pub any afternoon he'd almost certainly find Ralph. Sure enough he was there, and a thoroughly decent bloke too. Presumably our very own Ralphy has fond memories of the player (unless he is an ironic Man utd fan).
  3. This is terrible news. He might get injured and be out for the season. Or he might get spotted and leave us in January. And it's all Brewsters' fault for giving him his chance to break through. :thumb04: Well done lad, well deserved.
  4. Scottish Cup, I think. A couple of our midfielders had gone of injured and there was nobody else really to come on.
  5. I have never once called for Brew's head, but our home form is a disgrace and I won't be going anywhere near TCS until I see some sign of improvement. Whatever brew's strategy has been at home, it isn't working.

    Respect

"Wholeheartedly agree with your constructive criticism, boss" is perhaps what was being said.
  7. Just seen the highlights. Wilson's miss at the end
  8. It's just struck me what a wonderful gesture it was for the club to name a suite after one of this website's most esteemed posters.
  9. BBC reporting today that Celtic will move for Zaluska in the window, which will push Brown down the pecking order and possibly back to a provincial club.
  10. There are 3 teams below us in the league. Are we really going to have lost at home to all 3 of them? :o
  11. I don't pay an awful lot of attention to other teams' players, but Byrne is one who always stood out to me as being a terrible player, one of the worst first team regulars in the SPL.
  12. Billy Urquhart must be one of them. Interesting to watch the way the game was played. "Direct" would be the kindest description.
  13. It's OK, Celtic don't get any money from these Ebay sales, and it actually deprives them of spending in their club shop. So these adverts actually weaken the opposition!
  14. I don't rate Mixu. Hasn't he been in management longer than Brewster? There's no doubt who won the tactical battle on Saturday, and it's not often you can say that about Brewster.
  15. If that's your case, I'd be inclined to find the defendant not guilty!
  16. Maime, I know you only mingle with global superstars, but there is an Aussie band called Airbourne who are AC/DC soundalikes playing in Inverness next week I think. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=67T56ke2ywA
  17. A huge amount of credit is due to the manager, and the players. I don't think we have turned any sort of corner. We will continue to lose games that we should win, particuarly at home, but then surprise everyone with an unexpected win once in a while.
  18. Great result! I was too depressed to go and see us play badly and lose without scoring a goal again (which is what's what happened in the last 5 games I've been to). Maybe I should stay away more often.
  19. Maimie, will they play Highway to Heil?
  20. No, no and no. Basically the club is a small company and doesn't need to disclose much at all.
  21. I'm really torn. Fraser had a mare v Rangers, but it would be good man management for Brew to give him a chance to redeem himself and I'm sure Fraser's very determined to do better this week. He's made howlers in the past and came back stronger. But after much thought I would give Esson a chance. On a long losing run something has to be changed, and it would also send a message to our other underperformers that nobody's position is guaranteed.
  22. It's been the subject of as much debate this week as Obama v McCain, so here's your chance to vote.
  23. Generally, our outgoings are could be as much as a few hundred thousand pounds a year greater than our income. Which is not good. In recent seasons we have been able to cover these cash losses by getting a windfall from somewhere, in the form of: - a good, lucrative cup run - selling off our most valuable players (in recent seasons Brown, Rankin, Niculae, and best of all Brewster as manager) - a shareholder injecting further funds. None of these windfalls seem likely to arise this season, which means we will have to cut our cloth accordingly. So there is little money for transfer fees, or for paying off the management team.
  24. Here are his midweek thoughts, from the official club site. http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...1444824,00.html "I feel we have been unlucky in recent weeks, we lost a goal against Motherwell which was never a free kick, we go out of the cup because of an offside goal and penalty decision not given. Whereas on Saturday we lose the first goal to a debatable free kick, we just hope these things even themselves out over the course of the season."
