Which is less appealing to you? 1) End of season league games where there is nothing significant to play for (the battle for 9th - woo hoo!) 2) Pre-season friendlies. Uncompetitive kickarounds, but a chance to see how the team is shaping up for the new season. For me, competition, tension and entertainment are the key ingredients of football, and it's hard to be interested when you know that at least 2 of the 3 will be missing.

First win bonus for a long time should help!

Will be interesting to hear from anyone there how we played. From the radio I couldn't really gauge if we were playing well and just not converting chances, or if we were poor against an even worse team.

If I ran the SPL I would do whatever I could to ensure Gretna limp on until the end of the season (or at least to the split, at which point I'd let their results stand and just have a 5 team bottom "6"). A bit of inconvenience and bad press here and there is surely better than the alternative.

I don't get the bit about him going to County for a few days before the trial with us. Is he also having a trial with them, or is he so blatantly unfit that if he came directly to us he's be sent back on the bus before getting the chance to kick a ball?

An hour ago I saw the bus to Inverness on the outskirts of Perth and there was definitely a dark haired male on it. FACT!

Brewster is totally undermined and finished as a manager if he fields a player who openly states that he doesn't want to play for him. The whole squad would lose any respect they have for him. Giving your best at all times is a pre-requisite for being in the squad, it's not optional.

Brewster has made mistakes, but I think he has got this one absolutely right. Blackie needs some mature advice here, and if Munro is at all a good captain he should be sorting this out.

How can you suddenly suggest that "they" want us to believe that he was, without having done or said anything to create or perpetuate such a myth? So Motherwell are effectively giving away the use of their stadium to maintain the benefit of their Gretna fixtures points advantage over rivals like Dundee Utd. Not that you can blame them for acting in self-interest, and of course they can claim the moral high ground of helping a fellow club survive.

There have always been dressing room bust ups, disputes with managers etc at our club. I think we are hearing about more than usual at the moment because : - all season there have been undercurrents of discontent caused by Niculae's salary, and sooner or later it was going to blow up (with contract January renewal negotiations and Rankin's big money move being triggers) - we are going through our worst ever run of form and everyone is looking for someone to blame
