RANGERS V ICT - matchday thread
Sounds like we're having a great second half, under the circumstances. :022:

Davide Xausa
I recall that he had a phase of tremendous form that persuaded me to go to games that I otherwise wouldn't have. A joy to watch, when at his best. This was probably the same period of form that got him a move to the "First Division Select" team that Livi assembled that year.

I heard that Jason Scotland is going to Cardiff in the summer, may just have been speculation though.

Davide Xausa
Forgot about his spell at Falkirk........as I'm sure he has too.

Went from Livi to Vancouver Whitecaps before retiring fairly recently.

Found the teams, Hastings definitely started. Also found a pre-match build-up article that described him as "a no-nonsense, stoic individual whose sense of humour is not readily on show to strangers" In other words, dull!

Scotland squad v Georgia
I like the way he fooled the keeper by hitting it off his shin, ankle then laces :021:

Who's the hussie?
Aye, but in the world of Errea a size zero becomes XXXXXXL.

Who's the hussie?
In the style of Question of Sport, "what happened next"?!

"Great to see that goal at Hearts by ??" Tokely, Wyness then Bagan, take your pick!
-
It's all Christie's fault...
Don't want to blame anyone. But 2 starts for Caff, 3 goals conceded each time....... Doesn't really matter for this season, but as I have said before he ain't even worth considering as a replacement for Dods.

I see that we have moved up to 16th in the FIFA rankings despite not playing a game since October! That must be our highest ever ranking. The pessimistic realist in me says we can only go one way from here.

Post Split Matches
Yes. But in prior seasons it hasn't worked out that way because a team has finished in top 6 when they weren't expected to by the SPL administrators.
-
Post Split Matches
With there being no surprises as to which teams are in the top and bottom sections, it should work out that, for once, each team ends up having 19 home and 19 away fixtures, with 2 home and 2 away against each team in their half. I think.

Total Respects to Darren Dods - but Goodbye.
Plenty folk here said Dods should be dropped for the matches against his future employers. Two wins, two clean sheets. We know he'll give 100% right til the end of the season, and with every point having the potential to be worth £70,000 to us we still need our best team out there, until the games really do become meaningless.

Former Football Grounds
It was actually a baseball ground! A local factory or ironworks or something like that was owned by Americans, who introduced the game to the workers and provided them with the facilities.
-
Well Done Rory
Does that mean he'll be unavailable for some ICT games? :023:

Former Football Grounds
:003: Looked up a few others : Boghead, The Baseball Ground, Ayresome Park and Maine Road are all housing. Broomfield became Safeway, while Burnden Park is an Asda. The Goldstone Ground and Leeds Road are retail parks. Boothferry Park and the Vetch Field are awaiting demolition. Cliftonhill was demolished 25 years ago, but is still home to Albion Rovers.

Former Football Grounds
Ask George Wimpey! Roker Park is also housing.
