  1. Don't need to for his description of one particular match : Dup? ce am b?tut-o pe Celtic mi-a zis c? am fost "****ing brilliant!" :003: Oh, and he gets a Clio here, not the BMWs and Mercedes of his previous clubs. Edit : tried a few bits in a dodgy online translator, but it made more sense in Romanian. A bit about his contract might to be saying that if all goes well, the club has offered to extend beyond 2009 and build the team around him!
  2. Don't know, but this was in Fife. Probably available in all good bookshops all Sainsbury stores in Scotland, you would think.
  3. I'd never heard of it before, but saw it for sale in Sainsburies today. It is a magazine covering North of Scotland sport. This month's edition includes an interview with Grant Munro. The people behind the magazine have backgrounds in Highland football : Dave McGinlay, Bill McAllister, Duncan Shearer and Neale Cooper. I'm surprised that there was no mention of Charles Bannerman!
  4. A very sensible approach. But when has not knowing the facts ever stopped us having a lively discussion here?! :015:
  5. Agree with all of that. Very unfortunate for us tomorrow that he knows ICT so well, and a new manager always gives a struggling team a lift. But Parkie deserves a good job like this one.
  6. Is this sad development performance related or cost cutting? I'd guess the latter is at the very least a factor.
  7. Strip out the headline and journalist's padding. What Brew is saying is that we have a good squad performing well and don't need to change much, hence we are "not desperate" to make signings. But make signings we will.
  8. Does a player/manager get additional pay for being a player? In other words, will his retirement free up any money to go towards a replacement striker for the squad?
  9. Nice guy and all that, but I'd be horrified if he was appointed.
  10. Enough of the cryptic comments, cards on the table! I thought it was Alex McLeish (Motherwell, Hibs and Rangers), but that doesnt fit with what others are saying.
  11. Ah. I'm clearly thinking of someone different from you! Suddenly doubt sets in.....
  12. Got it, but let's not post the answer for a while until others have had a look.
  13. I don't need to watch it now that I know what happens :007:
  14. Dundee Utd and Aberdeen need strikers and could afford him. There's also another SPL club that likes bringing in highly paid East Europeans on a whim. But yes, more likely to be further afield.
  15. Jeremy Clarkson would be interesting. More right wing than Barry Wilson.
  16. Yeah, it was a shop window deal. But how high is the trigger point? I'd also wonder if the deal with Orion is that they get some or all of the sale proceeds, in return for having funded the wages to get him to here in the first place?
  17. Very interesting. And to think, a couple of months ago some of us were wondering if there was any way we could offload him!
  18. Barrowman has certainly been scoring, but it is only the 2nd division. To put it in context, he has 12, Hislop has 10 (and hasn't been appearing all that often) and Bavidge has 8.
  19. Beneath those YouTube highlights someone has commented : "fantastic player Marius Niculaie...Marius you are the dog untill you die!" Am I getting old and just not understanding the youth of today, or is this perhaps a Romanian saying?
  20. It's still special. Stirling was one of the highlights and best supports of last season.
  21. Dennis has scored more than 10% of ICT's all time goals tally, so it would be well deserved if he claimed this milestone.
  22. Kind of like a BOGOF deal then? Bargain!
  23. For many years the geographical isolation of the Highlands was seen by central belters as a reason not to allow a team into the league. 14 years on, what travel difficulties visiting teams have had? Not much, from what I can remember. - Gretna spent 6 hours on the bus due to snow. - Clydebank's bus heater wasn't working, and this apparently had an adverse effect on their performance. (would it have been Ian McCall who came out with that one?) - Celtic or Rangers probably suffered a wee bit of turbulence here and there. - St Mirren supporters' bus went home without the fans. :015: Any others?
