  1. Never heard it called that before, but fair play to ya!
  2. It would be wrong to destroy it IMO. What happened to the letters spelling out Inverness CT, do you have them too?!
  3. In late January 2000 I was made redundant. A few days later I bumped into a former colleague, who said “Sorry to hear about what happened, it’s so unfair. You must be pretty pissed off” I said “Aye, totally gutted. We had just got to the ground when we heard it was off....”
  4. The whole thing was just incredible. Best feeling ever. Bruises on my shins from celebrating the goals. Borrowing a phone to make my first ever mobile call, letting my dad know the result. He didn’t believe me. Being at home the next day, buying all the newspapers and watching every news programme, basking in the glory.
  5. I look forward to seeing all that printed on the side of a big red bus! ?
  6. However, the reported stat is “Attendance” ie people who attended, not tickets sold. But there’s no reason why clubs should publish any figure, is there? It’s not part of the game.
  7. I’m sure the declining revenue is already a concern. Its a pity that most our points are earned away from home. It’s the same 3 points for a win but if you could choose between home or away it is much better to have a good home record in order to boost attendances and season ticket renewals.
  8. I remover thinking, after a few minutes of wildly celebrating the equaliser, hang on, instead of the end result being a plucky 2-1 defeat, with 11 v 9 for another 30 mins it’s going to end up as something like 5-2 which doesn’t seem fair. But what’s interesting from the player comments is just how much much belief they had that they would go on to win.
  9. We have only a mid-table wage budget and given that constraint we are certainly not doing any worse than we should expect. Out transfer activity consists of fishing in small ponds rather than the lochs and rivers we enjoyed for many years, and as a result we have the lowest quality squad of players we have had this century. However, there is still enough quality there to get us into the playoffs as evidenced by the fact that our really strong away record shows that these players have enough technical ability and organisation to be one of the very best teams in the league. Our failing is our atrocious home form. The squad has the capability to win far more of these matches, but the fact that they can win away but not at home surely points largely to the manager - tactics, selection and motivation.
  10. A win today would get us consecutive league wins for only the 2nd time this season. The time we did it, the second of the wins was at home v Partick. Come on ICT!
  11. If the net hadn’t been there, would the ball have come to a standstill yet?!
  12. I don’t think anybody is saying that, but good effort to change the subject from one you can never win!
  13. Cheers Mantis, great article. I’d strongly recommend everyone to read through the players’ comments which are pretty insightful........and of course, to rewatch the highlights! One of the most remarkable matches any of us will ever attend. Oh, and Jamie Hamill
  14. Or White & McKay?
  15. I’m surprised you aren’t pushing for a deal with a certain bread brand!
  16. Wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to get a sponsorship deal from my favourite whisky and name the stadium Highland Park!
  17. Good god! Those figures are garbage. Even the SNP acknowledge Scotland is very heavily subsidised by the rest of the UK.
  18. I ain’t ‘fraid of no ghost.

    Oakley

Can’t say I’ve ever found myself thinking that Oakley is too good for this league and should be playing at a higher level.
  20. Andrea Mbuyi Mutombo has been mutual-consented by Partick.
  21. What makes this victory a little bit sweeter is that this is the postponed fixture from when Ayr were on great form and we looked highly unlikely to take anything from the game had it gone ahead. ?
  22. We were soundly beaten on all the stats, except the one that matters. ?
  23. Geez, that was excruciating towards the end. Great result though, especially with so many of our best players missing.
  24. 3+0 now! Remember though, we can turn any situation into a draw!
  25. Our best 3 players this season have been Donaldson, Ridgers and Walsh. All missing, so not too bad a result. Until they are all back, it might just be a case of staying within touching distance of 4th place, then a full strength side finishing strongly.
