  1. Reportedly looks like Esson has taken a whack in the face and struggling, Tuffey warming up
  2. IMO the biggest signing of the season so far, a player who knows the club, knows the area and knows the management team, what they expect and their philosophies. Yes it was reported that he had some problems last term but I am sure that he weighed all these up when he made the decision to rejoin. Delighted with the news and great to see he goes straight into the squad to face his old team.
  3. It's a sign of progress that the club are prepared to move further afield than normal pastures to pursue better talent, surely it's good that the club are willing to branch out and go that extra mile? I think it is also a symptom of the countries poor performance at bringing through young Scottish talent that can compete at the level that is needed to help clubs progress, yes clubs do their best to promote this talent but with the harsher financial burdons that are on clubs and the ever increasing need to stay in the top flight due to money not many clubs are willing to take what they see as a 'risk' in blooding these youngsters and keeping what we may regard as traditions going. Saying all that are there really enough 'local talents' out their that would go straight into our first eleven that aren't already here that we haven't already had? For a club like ICT we will bring a small steady flow of youngsters through the ranks but not at the rate we need to that would fill a team and unfortunately the need for money to stay in the league and progress will ultimately mean that if we unearth a gem or two we will sell them. In this vain our budgets don't allow us to bring in Scottish talent that are good enough as they are out of our price ranges so bringing in young international talent is the natural progressive route to go. I don't think the question should neccesarily be is it a sign of progress for ICT, the question should be is it a sign of progress for Scottish football which would throw up a whole new argument in itself.
  4. HT: 0v1 FT: 1v2 1st ICT: Ross 1st Opp: O'Connor Crowd: 3923
  5. He's billed as a LB.. We have signed an Austrian called Piermayr RB!!!!!! just waiting for international clearance seemingly! COME ON ICT!!! He played against Buckie at RB, he played for his last team at RB, and why would we sign a LB when we have Gillet and Shinnie? Anyway, welcome to reality. we are humped on the first day, not a good start, need to sort out the defence a bit Terry, and having no defensive midfielder on the park is criminal. he's a right back who CAN play left back. as for the defensive midfielder, we need someone to fill the void while cox is out. WHY THE HELL ISNT STUART DUFF HERE!! You'll need to ask Stuart Duff that, he's the only one that knows why he choose not to sign the contract he was offered
  6. I think it's still just a selected match, tonight it's the Aberdeen v St Johnstone game
  7. I hear what you're saying but the thing that I am holding onto is that we still have 4 players some not available today that could easily have a case for being in the team from the start: G Shinnie, Cox, Doran and Piermayr. From the sounds of things it's in defence today that we have struggled, the guys at the game will be able to tell us better, but we have made chances and been good on the ball according to reports.
  8. Tade off, G Shinnie on
  9. I spoke too soon I see :irritated:
  10. Another chance there, Tade this time. Game seems to be swinging in our favour a bit, really need a goal soon to pressure them and make them shakey
  11. It's all ifs though, Rooney might not have been in those positions. The positives to take from it is that Foran got into those positions and the goals will come. I'd be more worried if he wasn't in the game at all.
  12. God damn it!!! Murphy for them, 2v0
  13. Hammell for M'Well, 1v0
  14. Foran just hit the post
  15. I can't find anything regards this and hasn't been mentioned on the radio yet, where did you hear this from? Nothing on their website either, I hope it's not true
  16. Finished 1v1
  17. 12 Tuffey, 19 Shinnie, 17 Morrison, 29 Martin Laing, 30 Smith, 18 Sutherland The radio must have cut out for a second when they were reading out the subs, I never heard it properly
  18. Only 5 subs named though
  19. Davie, I was going to bite and had typed out a reply to our friend Dougal earlier but decided he can only post negative thoughts or be completely opposite to everyone else as it's the only way he will be noticed on here. I agree with your post 100% and the only shameful thing regarding this thread is Dougals choice to compare our fans to cretins, no matter your thoughts don't turn on your own, yes I have posted last season on the issue discussed but the only time I have slagged one of our fans was for his language and use of one particular word and I wasn't the only one to mention it.
  20. Excellent news, very thin on the ground with defenders especially a decent RB, hopefully the clearence will come through in time for him to go straight into the team for todays game
  21. Been looking forward to this thread since the last game of last season, here's hoping for a good start to the new season. I'll be happy with a strong performance and a point come full time.
  22. Excellent news, shows the board are willing to back them and are demonstrates enormous trust by trying to sort this out before it gets too late. Stability is the key to any success and this is a great move for all concerned.
  23. Did Kilmarnock drop their interest in him after the weekend or did we sneek in under the radar? Good to see us trailing a defender though especially someone that can play RB and that has under 21 caps for his country, I don't know anything about him however welcome the news and if he is good enough I am sure TB will snap him up.
  24. HT: 0v1 FT: 2v2 1st ICT: Hayes 1st Opp: Craigan Crowd: 4789
  25. At the moment unfortunately the backline picks itself and I don't see TB starting with 3 at the back, I can't recall a game where he has actually done that which means through desperation rather than want I think Proctor will start, I still stand by my thought from a previous thread months ago that if he had of been out of contract he would have been away as well. I see it as a 4-5-1 with two wide men pushing up in attack with some fire power on the bench to throw on if needed judging by their lack of match fitness. GK: Esson LB: Gillet CB: Aldred CB: Tokely RB: Proctor DCM: Tansey CM: A Shinnie CM: Ross AMR: Hayes AML: Doran STR: Foran Bench: Tuffey, Morrison, Cox, Meekings, Tade, Sutherland, G Morrison(if fit)
