  1. you're more likely to get abuse from old firm tw*ts in inverness. the type that kiss the badge when they are in the pub watching their beloved ugly sister and have never set foot in glasgow. glory hunting a****oles!
  2. Yes, most of them tend to read the Financial Times, or the Telegraph. all the news you need is in the p&j mun.
  3. just to clarify. am i right in thinking the 2 games are on different nights?
  4. can't believe theres any ict supporters actually read that rag.
  5. it would have been even funnier if he compared the sheep!!!!

tokely had a shocker yesterday, not just at saints goal. i thought shinnie was a bit out of his depth but came on to a good game. mccann played pretty well too. just glad i don't have to pick the team.
  7. don't really have a problem with our name as it is. having said that, if we had to change it, Inverness CiTy always seemed the logical one to me as it keeps the initials of the two clubs in the name. on the subject of poor attendences, personally, i've never understood the animosity some caley and thistle fans still feel toward the merger. to hear some of them talk, you would think they had merged the old firm! the ones who refuse to go to the games leave me baffled and with the smell of burning martyr in my nostrils!!! still, their loss. top flight football in my home town is a dream come true and all invernessians should get right behind the club. as for highland fc. a bit insulting to every other club in the north? anyway, being from inverness, i'll support them no matter what the name is. unless they change it to ross county of course.
  8. me + 1. could be a good game but will settle for a great result!!!!
  9. it took me back to my youth playing goals and byes. break up the attack and hoof the ball up the park. good job it wasn't 3 corners, a penalty.
  10. i'm not a great believer in testimonials but i'll make an exception for this one. i'll definitely be there !!!!!

Every club in the SPL as part of the TV deal has 2 or maybe 3 of their Home games shown live over the course of the season. Of course this means Sky can have Hamilton v One Half of the Old Firm one week and then ICT v One Half of the Old Firm and then Kilmarnock v One Half of the Old Firm and so on. OF on pretty much every week whilst still complying with the terms of the TV deal and giving the rest of us the 2 or 3 Home games we are due. it's a double whammy for the ugly sisters. old firm games are about the only time the cameras are allowed into their grounds (for spl games). this is because, those games will sell out regardless of tv coverage. the knock on effect is their grounds are always nearly full for home games and for away games they don't take as many fans with them. the result of this is, they keep coining it and the rest take the hit of a reduced gate. someone should maybe mention this to walter smith the next time he bleats about eufa being unfair boo hoo.
  12. Does he have four legs and wears a wooly jaampar you'll recognise him by the drool trickling down his chin...... like most taxi drivers in inverness!!!!
  13. I'll be there with my special friend!!! he'll be in the north stand, section c, row j, seat 29. If you see him, give him a wave. He doesn't get out much.

yeah, well done. it takes a big man to admit he got it wrong. can understand where you were coming from though.... no one likes a drubbing. and that WAS a drubbing. here's to next weekend and a long overdue win over the dons.
  15. you can't narrow the pitch. if you do that, my seat in north stand section c will be outside the touchline!!!!! now if you lengthen the pitch, the nth stand would be on the goal line. that would stop us conceding too many goals.

nth stand section c. taking the missus along too. she's never been to a football match and i don't expect she'll want to go to any more after this.
  17. lithuania were like any hearts team of the last 5 or 6 years. scotland were like any scotland team of the last 10 years.
  18. i think pele will grab this opportunity and be a huge success all over again. i would wish him good luck but i don't think he'll need it. the guy is a LEGEND!!!
  19. have to agree. the spoiling tactics and what seemed like cerny taking 10 mins for every goal kick really p***ed me off. why he wasn't booked beats the s**t out of me.

So much for the theory that a custodial sentence can actually reform or rehabilitate persistent troublemakers. obviously, the system doesn't work!

i'm more concerned about losing some of our talent rather than bringing in any new players.

  25. i know that old firm fans aren't all scum, but they do have a large number that are. i was verbally abused (and i mean disgustingly) on the way home. and the morons who did it, it seems that i' didn't even try to pretend they were weegie tubes. local accents!!!!! it seems that i'm a pr**k cos i support my local team and not that shower of soap dodgers. best fans in the world my a**e!!!!!!!
