  1. yeah no problem at all, its easy enough for me. maybe we'll have time to go hang around magaluf for an hour if you get through early enough http://www.flickr.com/photos/tale_swapper/31955802/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/hodgers/158653991/ :017:
  2. aye the guy was class and a good captain when on song but as has been said he was never likely to return <- heres his goal for livi against clyde. shame theres none of him for ict on there
  3. ive actually been shocked with some of the tabloid coverage of the campaign with regards to the snp, its been disgusting and totally unfair as we all know. will be around to watch the labour votes pile in about 2am, then ill probably fade away, hope im wrong of course
  4. all seems pretty similar to the other mls franchises. ive no idea what will happen with toronto fc, read alot online regarding footballs development in north america and although the will is definitely there in the cities that have teams it doesnt necessarily mean theres a future in it. many people say that the leagues clubs arent ready to go it independently and trade openly on the international player markets, the biggest fear being that every team will eventually be bought by foreign clubs or businessman who have no interest in football whatsoever. though it has and will again hold the league back from attracting the right players and investment, i think the people who say that are probably right! i dont like watching mls games because i dont like american commentators, the games are often boring and the fans/stadiums all seem a bit legoland to me. the 'atmosphere' created tends to come more from peer pressure and a collective feeling fan groups need to put on a show because thats whats supposed to happen at football games, rather than there being genuine passion for the team. that probably sounds like a pretty negative and whingin partypooper of a thought but im allowed an opinion though i could see why most mls fans dont give a crap what somebody from outwith their league has to say about it, as im probably not saying anything that hasnt been said a million times over or fans there dont already know. last game of football i attended was the st mirren v dunfermline game on monday night, there were only half the number of people in love street than in tornoto but the pre-match tension was something no amount of scarf waving or organised singing sections could ever recreate despite the quality of football, the stadium, the league etc.. there was still atmosphere even though hardly anyone made an attempt to sing, they were too nervous! itll take generations before a sh1te match like the one i was at on monday could ever be played out in north america from a supporters stand point, which is what football is all about the point to all of this..? ive seen enough of major league football to know i dont want any part of it, which im sure will leave the new league and myself happy :014:
  5. polling begins in a few hours for most of you. i hope theres a decent turnout for once and that labour get given a severe kick in the balls by their traditional support in the west... but we all know that wont happen and the very best the snp (or whoever it ends up being) can only hope for a tiny margin of victory and nowhere near enough to secure a majority i voted by post already, so lets have an exit poll here while we're at it for boredoms sake... first vote - snp second vote - snp shall be on here again tomorrow for a few hours through the night to see just how its going as the results start pouring in. imagine the bbc site will have some swanky idiot proof graphics online later but i cant find it just now.. maybe im the only person whos bothered?
  6. wasnt the debt split into lots of smaller debts, some of which has been paid back we shouldve done a motherwell and paid 7p per pound of debt!
  7. was there on monday and i have to say both teams have great support, its a shame either has to be replaced by gretna would love to see them both stay up at motherwells expense
  8. milan! no mistakes in the final please, get the job done by half time like tonight and remember what happened 2 years ago!
  9. knew a guy in glasgow who recently went through the same thing. decembers plenty time to find something better, fcuk 'em
  10. ill have to go to this
  11. aye why not
  12. shame. maybe next year
  13. think its worth a tidy up of all the ross county related topics floating around this weekend into what should be the most important one to all of us (theres a **** of alot of places on the internet if you want to go and simply laugh your nads off at them) how does ross county going down and potentially part time affect us? ill wait until somebody writes a big list of creditable cons before i react, otherwise ill be here all night. i suspect there wont be too many anyhoo and overall there wont be much lost or gained would like to hear some reasoning behind the highland flag waving, anything beyond archaic/parochial 'every-inelsh in scotlan hinks we're cabbageshaggin cave-mun, so should support eatch-uher lyke' attitude
  14. i dont think you did enough od these faces :crazy07: at the end of that post
  15. superb news, hastings expecially, vital cog in the system. any of the others are easily replaced if pushed, hastings gives us balance :clapping03:
  16. i might be working in inverness again that weekend LG dunno if i can handle the pool tables at rollerbowl but thanks for the invite, if theres an afterparty in town for the grown ups ill support the trust by buying people alcohol
  17. i dont get it. couldn't something have been organized for the day of the scottish cup final seen as theres no home game to end the season on?
  18. we wont need to plunder anybody anymore, the best local/highland players will now have nowhere else to go but ict if anything ross county will be even more in our pocket than they were before, they might even become a proper feeder club
  19. this isnt a bad day for highland clubs at all, its just a bad day for ross county and after their results this year its what they deserve. between the 4 ex highland league clubs (counting caley and thistle as one) theres been 6 promotions, 5 sfl trophies (including the challenge cups county and ourselves won) and just 1 relegation. its to be expected, its football, they overspent for years and have failed to sustain division 1 form during a season where theyve had to make cut backs. that last sentence isnt a fact thats lost on the rest of scottish football, nobody thinks they got relegated purely for being diddy sheepshaggers and in no way does their troubles reflect upon us. by all means feel bad for there support as football fans, as you would the saints, but dont get all misty eyed about them representing the highlands please! we play in the national league now and should worry about ourselves alone, let them squirm in their own mess
  20. i just wanted an excuse to post the stuart dickson rolling eyes
