  1. You mean this top Joonya? This has always been my favourite top. My one doen't fit me any more though.
  2. Maybe we'll do a Cardiff and change our colours completely. Green tops anyone?
  3. It's also very popular with dictators....
  4. C*unty probably valued the "P*ssing off ICT" aspect at a couple of hundred a week in itself. Cant wait to get on P&B later You've been missing out! I can see the Tokely thread being near the top of the list a lot this season. Midden fans certainly helping with this.
  5. What do you mean to have faith? Faith to reach top 6 or faith to avoid relegation? I don't have faith that we will make top 6 - but I don't think any manager would achieve that on our current budget. I do have faith that we will finish at least 11th, but i'm not expecting much better than that. However, with Butchers contacts down south, I do have faith that he can uncover at least 2 'gems' so I suppose this will be a yes from me. Ask this again in last August and I will see how I feel for the remainder of the season.
  6. I don't think there's a need for a panic button yet. We haven't even started pre-season. No doubt the management are looking at various players at the moment. Once the team are assembled and start the campaign then we can see if a panic buttton needs pushed. For now, we'll just have to wait and see.
  7. Wait and see what exactly?
  8. Who's the first signings going to be? Tokely? Munro? I want to say the generic all the best comment but he has gone to our rivals and potential relegation battlers, so although i can't wish him all the best with County I won't hold a grudge. He is and will forever be a Caley Thistle legend. Some people may think it was all a plot to get rid of him all along, some people may think that we simply can't afford him. What ever the reasons and the blame the following stats are incredible: ICT have played in 18 football seasons. Tokely played in 16 of them! Tokely played for ICT in Dvision 3, 2, 1, SPL. He has played under every ICT manager apart from Baltacha. Paterson, Robertson, Brewster, Christie, Butcher He played in front of the Howden end for a few months before moving to Caledonian Stadium. With ICT he has won Division 3, runner up in Division 2, Division 1 (twice), He is an ICT hero and legend. But now he has gone. What does the future bring for Caley Thistle? No idea. It appears to be gloomy but he was going to always leave at some point. ICT will go on. We may or may not uncover some gems this summer. We may or may not have a good season. I don't know, but despite the loss of another key player, I am looking forward to it. I don't know who Gary Warren is. I probably won't know the player we will sign after him, but I can't wait to see them in action.
  9. Gavins back. He was supposed to ba on loan untill August but the loanees have been released back to their clubs early. One positive that will come from this is that Gavin will be able to take in pre-season with ICT and hopefully get into the startign XI.
  10. Ugh. A Sunday final. Soon, there'll be no Saturday 3pm kick offs at all.
  11. I think it will be zee Germans this year. Solid, boring 1-0 wins all the way to the final!
  12. The venom on P&B on the Tokely thread is ridiculous right now - but not surprising. Worth a read just for a laugh, just dont mention Chris Kerr on there!!!
  13. The SFA have a page on their official website where they list all the pre-season friendlies in Scotland Whilst browsing through it I was surprised to find that we have a game arranged as I hadn't heard anything yet. The page was last updated on 1st June. Tuesday 24th July Brechin City v Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Glebe Park, Brechin, KO 7.30pm http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_football.cfm?page=3332
  14. There's a lot more positive comments that suggest that particular posters view on Warren is in the minority.
  15. No idea why he was sacked but i've seen him around the west end of Glasgow on numerous occasions very drunk during the midweek. I've always thought to myself that he will be awfully hungover for taking the training in the morning!
  16. In the Sun article he also says “He texted me saying his hands were tied and he couldn’t. “As everyone knows, there has been a deadline for the players to meet, so I messaged the manager and chairman and said I wouldn’t be signing. I would take that as him confirming he is indeed offski. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/4351448/Caley-legend-quits-with-blast-at-boss.html
  17. The contract offer seems to have been rejected via Facebook and The Sun .... the club cant really make an official statement until its been rejected to them officially. Isn't Tokely quoted in the papers as saying that he messaged Butcher to say he would not be accepting? Of course the papers could be adding that bit in or maybe he never got the text....
  18. I think I read somewhere (maybe on cto) that the management were looking at the Welsh leagues. This was a few weeks back.
  19. In terms of players coming and going, Butcher has to take the blame for some individual cases. But Butcher has to report to someone. I thought it was Grassa but obviously not. The board have let certain things happen and they are to blame as well. Vigurs, Munro, Duncan, Tokely. Four players that should have still been playing with us. Debatable about Duncan due to him going back down to Div 3, but I think he was still worthy. Butchers not to blame for the "state that ICT currently finds itself in". I'm not sure if you mean financially or the team on the park or both. The Manager is responsible for the team, but he seems to have such a free reign that he can do what he wants. He's at fault for ripping the heart and soul out of the team, but the board let him and therefore must take some of the blame.
  20. Tokely speaks out again. http://www.thescotti...st-at-boss.html
  21. reports about games taking place in Aberdeen being referred to as 'the Highlands' or The 'North East Derby' between Inverness and Aberdeen.
  22. It was truly shocking and the scenes in the terracing luckily don't happen here. What I found bizarre is the high amount of anti-semetism, Nazi salutes, Nazi banners etc etc in Poland of all countries! If I were English, i think i'd be staying at home after seeing that.
  23. Could do with 2 or 3 more folk for the Caley Thistle team................ P.M me.
  24. When London was announced as the host city in 2005, the UK leaders all thought the economy was hunky dory. I like the Olympics. It's a great sportig event. However there's a few things I don't like: First of all, I would prefer a Team Scotland instead of an amalgamation of 3.5 countries.. I don't like how Lord Coe et al have hi-jacked the Olympics to turn it into some sort of Royalist, aristocracal, Diamond Jubilee propganda. This whole carrying the flame malarky. It's a good idea on paper - but not at a cost of millions of pound of tax payers money so that Princess Anne, David Beckham and Will.I.am / W.I.ll.Iam / William / Willy or what ever his name is can strutt their stuff. Football is not an Olympic sport. Tennis is not an Olympic sport. Finally, ordering the Saltire flag to be removed from the roof of Hampden because 'Flags of countries not competing cannot be displayed' for me is highly offensive. So, to sum it all up........
