  2. Anyone can play so long as they have a) an online betting account (such as william hill) b) a twitter account Once you've got these, post your twitter name here, or alternatively add those already playing: @CaleyGringo @CapitalCaley @Zinaad @VonSheihallion @GringoJnr @moraywanderer @ba_hm10 @TaffyTaylor89 New players start at the bottom of the table with the same score as the person currently occupying that spot (-?8.89) Rule how to play are contained in this thread.
  3. 4-4-2 for me Esson Meekings, Tokely, Golabart, G.Shinnie Chippendale, Cox, Tansey, A Shinnie Sutherland, Tade Subs: Hayes (if fit), McKay, Proctor, Tuffy, Foran, Ross We certainly need to freshen things up. Meekings was impressive when he came in on saturday and I think would be worthy of a start. Chippendale impressed me against Hearts and would probably add that width that we've lacked without Doran and Hayes. Foran needs to sit this one out and give shane his chance. Maybe he'll come on and show some passion and drive when he comes off the bench? Cox was also impressive on saturday when he came on, and with young ross seemingly missing the last couple of games, he too perhaps needs to sit this one out.

He passed comment that Butcher had them in for training at 2pm on a day that saw the Manchester derby at half 1...
  5. Unfortunately I can't agree with a lot of what you've said Donview. I don't think you've been watching the same Foran I have this season. The one I have seen is a good yard off the pace, hardly threw his weight about in challenges and rarely won any header (the ones he went for that is). There is no way anyone can honestly say he 'gives his all week in week out' because he simply does not! He strolled around the park like a lost sheep, and for him to try and gee up the fans at the end... well to me it felt like an insult. The people he should be geeing up are his fellow professionals. Not shouting at them when they make the slightest error - especially if his initial ball to them was shocking, as happened more than once yesterday! Yes, there are questions over Butchers choice to leave the likes of McKay and Sutherland on the bench when we are crying out for a striker. There are also questions over his tactics and decision to play central midfielders on the wings. But the biggest question I have about Butcher is why he insists on playing Richie Foran when he is simply not performing as a player. EDIT: As for him being booed at the end, I think his perfromance deserved it, and as i said earlier, I thought it was an insult for him to be so f***** smug whislt trying to gee up the support. He did sod all for 90 minutes. End of!
  6. Going by the fact I have very very rarely seen him pat a team mate on the back or give a thumbs up, but have instead very regularly see him waving his arms about and pointing and shouting at players, I'm going to have a guess and say that he's not offering encouragement. I even recall an article in the paper a few weeks back, i think it was after the utd match(could be wrong), where he basically said the lads weren't playing well. No mention of his own poor performance at all, and it actually read very much as if he had no part in our poor performances. Now, in my opinion, if you're not willing to put your hands up and admit you yourself are playing poor, then how can you possibly be able to motivate others?
  7. My 'Beef' with richie foran is that he is meant to be club captain and lead by example. He has been poor all season and fails to admit to himself or others that this is the case. He'd much rather try and win the fans over with comments in the local press than do his talking on the pitch. What, quite frankly, p*****s me off most is that he has done nothing to suggest he is worthy of a place in the team and continues to slag off others who may make minor mistakes. Today he even had a go at A.Shinnie for failing to get on the end of a poor pass from himself. He gave a mouthful to cox after his mis-hit volley under pressure. After the penalty was scored we went straight up to Proctor and gave him a ticking off. Those were just a couple of examples and to me, that is not a captain. What was done was done and the captain should be there to encourage and pick everyone up. There wasn't even a pat on the back of Ryan Esson after a few outstanding saves. Butcher is worthy of stick because he is the man at the top and he picks the team, but if even the club captain fails to turn up for 90 minutes, what hope have the rest of the team got, particularly when they have to work along side someone who constantly criticises.
  8. Foran could have had 2 or three goals himself today if he put in a least half the effort that we have seen him produce. He was a liability from the start (not for the first time this season). He was over critical on more than one occasion (not for the first time this season) and he himself was probably the worst player on the park (and not for the first time this season). For him to clap the fans at the end and try to get us all behind the team really p***** me off, because for a full 90 minutes he did nothing but stroll around the pitch and not once try and gee up the lads. There was no praise, no passion, no desire, no encouragement. Just lots of critisism to other players, even if it was he who played the initial bad pass in the first place. We all know how close Butcher and Foran are, and for that reason I will slag off Butcher. But Foran is the club captain and should show the desire and passion in every single game, not just at the end when the fans are on his back!!!

  12. The 'Butcher OUT' post got me a little agitated, simply because out problems do not lie with him alone. Nor should they. Yes we can say we've still got a list of injured/not fully fit players, and no that excuse wont wash for much longer, if at all. But why should our shoddy performance against St Johnstone (and even our current league position) merit HIM to be touted for the chop? Simple answer - He shouldn't be! I've only managed 4 games this season, and not once have I seen Richie Foran give 100% in his performances. He's meant to be the club captain and has done nothing but criticize his fellow professionals. And judging by the reactions of some others around me yesterday, I'm not the only one to think this. Foran has been less passionate in his overall game than he was at this stage last season. He's slow off the ground for headers he'd normally be expected to win, and has been at least a yard off the pace most of the season. His criticism's of other players performances cannot therefore be justified if he himself is worthy of even more criticism. Surely he cannot be the first name on the team sheet, just because he is club captain? What Foran needs is to be dropped, and dropped now. Shane Sutherland shows alot of passion and creativity whenever he plays, and even Andrew Shinnie is showing signs of linking well with Tade. With McKay pushing for more game time, Hayes close to a return and others looking to start, I really hope Butcher starts to utilise these men in an effort to bring some desire and fight of which has been lacking in Foran.

  18. You have ?1, and only ?1. That ?1 MUST be bet over the course of a weekend. Any funds not bet will be counted as a Loss! No bet can commence before 6pm Friday, and all bets must end by 9pm Sunday. Any bets placed that end AFTER the 9pm Sunday deadline will be classed as void bets, and 'stake' will be deemed as returned. ALL bets must be stated on Twitter, so that others can varify if there so happens to be a discrepency, or a conspirecy about cheating. You must also declare your remaining kitty after each bet. Your 'stake' cannot exceed 10p on any given bet. Hence the name of the game! (EG: if you bet on a horse each way, you must place the horse at 5p to make the each way bet total 10p. E/W 10p bets are not permitted, as this make the total 'Stake' 20p.). Once your ?1 is spent, it's spent. IE you cannot 're deposit' funds. However, you can re-bet any winnings that may be forthcoming, so long as the bets comply with the previous rules. (EG: You win 18p from a 10p bet. You can then place 2 bets at 9p each if you wish, but if one finishes after 9pm Sunday, that 9p will return to your kitty.) The person with the largest kitty come 9pm Sunday is the winner that weekend. Results will be continued until the end of the season. The winner gets the bragging rights, the looser no doubt will get some abuse. It's merely a game to entertain over the sporting weekend, and it only costs ?1. New players will start on the average score that current players have accumilated at the time you join. I've no doubt forgotten something, so ask away any questions. Am sure current players can help me out with answers
  19. Wasn't too sure where to put this, but as it involves a former ICT backroom staff member, i thought here was as good as any. I've not long been in from work and caught up on my personal e-mails, and came across one from a company called Highland Eventz. To my knowledge, Highland Eventz is run by [a former employee of ICT]. I've had no contact with the company and was wondering if anyone else has received contact also ...seems like too much of a coincidence. /

    Rooney

Rooney is either falling quickly down the pecking order at Birmingham, or he's suffering an injury. He didnt even make the bench this weekend away to Forest in their 3--1 win. Chris Burke on the other hand seems to be doing quite well with the Blues
