  1. I've got the next 3 weekends off.... I wonder if they'll be willing to sign me. I don't want a wage, i just wanna play football :021: :021: :021: :021: Anyone else fancy a match next sunday at Motherwell??? :001:

This quote has got me rather annoyed... He is not thinking about the club at all, but about his own financial gain. Joe Bloggs even has to take a pay cut or change job from time to time to get the best they can in terms of job satisfaction, being with their family AND personal goals. The club have offered him security in terms of an improved wage over a 3 and a half year deal - 1 and half years more than wyness (or so the P&J said today) and I find that alone baffling. Added to that, most players these days use funds raised from their testimonials to donate to charities or worth causes, or indeed as a way to generate funds back into their club. His agent cannot be helping matters - one person that football could do without!!! (agents i mean)

I said all this over a month ago, and find it incredable that Russell hasn't yet made his mind up, and dispicable that the club have not stuck their foot down harder on the matter. If the club truely feel they have made the best offer they can and he refuses, then thats RD's problem! There's life after football Mr Duncan! not everyone has the luxury of retiring at the age of 30+ and have ?millions in the bank to live off... Even a certain former Aberdeen Assistant Manager and Scotland International is now a courier within the Highlands to make ends meet.
  4. Wimps Some good work being doing through sports for charity. Good to see Black and Imrie taking part in some of it also. Hats off to em :clapping03:

Good old Ardersier. LoL. Shame that we lassie cant let daddy brew know when to make adequate substitutions. lol

I did indeed move north, to Inverness, where I was able to purchase my first ever ICT Season ticket, and then my second successive season ticket, and watch vertually all games (work depending) - Didn't I Gringo :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :blah01: I remember one season we'd travelled over 11,000 miles and watched around 15/16 games. Mostly away trips. Have seen low points of Broadwood and High points of Recreation Park. Not to mention the drama of Almondvale and the History of Parkhead.
  7. unless you are all completely wrong and a man by the name of John Robertson has been employed? :017: :blah01:
  8. Sounds like we've not been completely outplayed. If only the substitutions were made 10 minutes earlier, I have no doubt we may have got the draw! Well done lads, but unlucky.... Duncan yet again gets 90 minutes and wastes a good chance towards the end - Why is this man still a guarentee in the ICT lineup :020:
  9. McBain and Wyness linking well, but why is Duncan still on the park and Black off? Baffles me. COME ON ICT - GET THAT EQUALISER!!!!!
  10. ****!!!!!!!!! :008:
  11. We're sitting too far back by the sound of it. good to hear tokely doing well and putting in a solid performance. Perhaps his new 2yr deal is worth fighting for a slot in the starting line up. lol
  12. I've noticed the last couple of games that the commentators always mentions 'wyness' and 'spark up front' in the same sentence when on about ICT's options. It's good to hear Imrie, Niculae and Paatenlinen are playing well, but I feel a Duncan for Wyness sub is needed with the latter pushing ahead of Niculae to add the finishing touch in the final 3rd.
  13. Please not before half time............ NOOOOOOOOOOOO :008:
  14. 3-0 Gretna :010:
  15. Superb news, although I feel it still worthwhile to bring in another player to allow competition for places and a welcome headache for CB Players "going"????? Why does the 'revolt' post on the rumour mill seem less and less of a rumour? :023:
  16. Or perhaps a replacement for McBain or Duncan??? Everyone has stated they have both been poor this term, yet still get a regular start. The later hasn't yet (to my knowledge) signed his new deal and could perhaps be away. Should Barnes be taken on by ICT, it really would create a lot more in the centre of the park. Good news imho
  17. CB must stop thinking the likes of Duncan, McBain and Hastings NEED to start every game, and rotate the squad where it is needed. I have said this on a previous thread and stick by it. People have mentioned how well Wyness and Niculae pair up, how Wilson and Tokely link well together, how Proctor and Cowie are gelling nicely into the side. What we need is consistancy, and I have no doubt we can take 12 points out of a possible 18. Top 6 is achieveable. The time to mess with the side is when our goal is reached mathmatically. Top 6 was CB's goal when he arrived - therefore the goal isn't yet reached!!!

Craig Brewster has still got a team inherited from CC. He has brought in a decent player in Dougie Imrie and secured the services of 2 decent defenders - Proc and McGuire. I consider it a great piece of business in releasing Rankin, who ultimately seemed to be pulled in all directions during CB's 2nd spell in charge. If a player is unsure of their future, they get out - it's the same for every workforce. The only 2 issues I have with CB are these [li]His inability to know when to make substitutions during a game, even though 99% of the stadium can see who needs to come on for whom and at what time[/li] [li]The way he rests the best players we have at inappropriate moments (wilson, black, wyness & niculae to name a few) yet others are mostly poor week in week out whilst others wait in the wings (vigurs, paatelinen etc)[/li] If CB can sort these parts of his managerial reign with us, then he'll be a legend like Pele and Robbo were for us - yet if he sticks with what he's been doing the last few weeks, he'll become the next forgotten Sergi
  19. My first thoughts on seeing the challenge was it is an unfortunate mis-timed tackle. An I stick by that thought. There have been few challenges that are aimed at ending another players career (such as Roy Keane on Haaland) and this was not one of them. Yes the studs were showing, but I think it seemed like a fair attempt to get the ball. I only hope Eduardo recovers. As much as I hate Arsenal, he is a class act to watch.
  20. The commentator has described exactly what we need.... his names Wyness and he's still on the bench :008: :018:
  21. I know Niculae wants to get into the romanian team, but does it involve taking the ball off our own players (black) :018: :018: :018: :018:
  22. WTF is going on :008:
  23. In truth there are a few people who rarely post these days - myself included. Yompa, the Coia's, Caley Canary, Naelifts and The Wanderer hardly post as much as they used to. My reasoning is due to the mass of posts on the forums - even with the different sections - and I simply dont have the time or patience to read through them, as so many start to weave away from the subject that has originally been posted. For instance, a topic about line-ups would all of a sudden become a personal relay of 'text messages' slagging the other person off - something I really can't be bothered to read or reply to! The Caley Inn Crew, The Innes Bar Bunch and those from the borders created the heart of this site. The craic, the matchday hype and even club goings on. This has slowly changed to a Supports Trust versus Other Fans versus Club Members versus IHE website that has almost zero banta as a whole.* *This is only my opinion and others are welcome to theirs. I will ALWAYS be a regular to this website and also play my part as a supporter of ICT. I have no doubt however that there will be a mixture of responces to this from each of the seperate fans bases mentioned above, and also the neutrals to this site!!!
  24. HAPPY 8TH ANNIVERSARY!!!! :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:
