smoke bomb
Joe, in much the way you feel davie is overreacting, I think you're perhaps being a little undersighted. Any incident that has potential to cause police involvement will put fans in bad light, no matter the club they support or the severity of the issue, or indeed wether you know the culprits or not. The CJT group work damn hard to represent the fans and ensure we don't get the tag of 'hooligans' (or whatever) and any incident that can add fuel to the police's stance WILL make it harder for CJT to defend. Be it twice as hard or 10 times as hard. Point is, no matter how harmless these bombs are, police will view it as dangerous and hooliganistic. This day in age, I'd wager the Hearts fans who threw toilet rolls when they equalised will also be looked out and questioned also.

smoke bomb
Clacher - I think the point davie is trying to make is that people complained about the treatment received by stewards after a similar incident over the bridge. People have also been querying there rights as fans in terms of what they are allowed to do, and even say/sing at matches. When the fans representitive group of CJT was asked what they were going to do about it, they set about organising meetings with police to establish reasons why ICT fans in particular were being scrutinised for enjoying themselves. When idiots throw items onto the park, they are once again doing themselves no favors, and police and stewards will only in turn assiciate the majority of our fanbase with these individuals. The person who threw the smoke bomb should, and no doubt will, be caught and punished approproately.

ICT -V- Hearts
Likely not...but we didn't win and the 18 year old who lost it for us was a Marsella pick, endorsed by Terry,,,and not one of the homegrown youth players. I feel for Roberts because I think that losing a match as a result of his failure is going to do bugger all for his confidence going forward....but I do wonder why he was picked to take the penalty in the first place......I really do! And slating the lad and pinning sole blame is going to boost his confidence? Get a flippin' grip! I really cannot ever come to understand folk who pick the negative out of any situation, good, bad or indifferent! Particularly those who pin blame in such a manor as you have done in the above. For the entire season so far we have been fantastic, and the lads were so so close to making all our dreams of a first major final come true. 4 defeats all season, 2nd in the SPL, still in the Scottish Cup, a chance of Europe, a chance of a top-six finish - and you pick on an 18 year old for missing 1 effort on goal!!? Disgracful...

Fans Going To Easter Road
The club have exceeded 2000 sales, and more fans are enquiring about tickets, even at this late stage

Four in hand
The Four In Hand will be welcoming the Travel Club buses, and I believe children are permitted in this establishment. It may be a case of designated children/family areas inside the bar, but I personally dont know. I've never been. This bar is situated just a short distance from the Stadium on Easter Road. Anyone travelling on the 9am buses from the stadium are advised to make their way back to the Four In Hand post match, as Lothian and Borders Police will close the roads around the stadium for 40 minutes after the game. I am hoping these buses will collect from here

McKay's worth
What I think he's worth: £1.5m-£2m. What I think would be realistic to accept: Anything above 750k What I think the club would accept: 400k+ History shows we have let our 'stars' leave on the cheap, and in many cases, for free. That to me is bad business. Selling you prized assets for nothing is rediculous One thing I would like to see though, if he does go cheap, is the club force through some sort of 'signing on fee' should he head from club to club. IE, we we sell him for 400k but for any transfer after that from any club, ICT get 25%. Not entirely sure how these systems work, or even if they're allowed, but at least the club would continue to benfit from the loss of such a talent as Billy. Really hope he stays. He can then push to exceed Denzil's goal record for the club, and cement himself as a club legend.

League Cup Semi Final v. Hearts Build Up
There are 6 Travel Club buses heading to the game on Saturday. 2 of which are leaving at 9am, with the other 4 an hour later. I believe ALL Travel Club buses will be leaving from the Stadium... (Keep an eye out on the Travel Club pinned thread on the main forum for updates and info). Regent Road is, I believe, the planned drop off and pick up point in Edinburgh. However, announcements will be made on the coaches prior to leaving Inverness as to what the schedule and arrangements are for each particular bus, and quite possibly another announcement on the coaches will come across before parking up in Edinburgh, just to clarify and ensure everyone knows the plan

Fancy a kick-about?
By my count, there's a good 7 or 8 interested with a few 'maybe' and 'dependent on weather' folk too. Having spoken briefly to DavieB last night, would all of you who are interested be ok to form a 'team' and turn up every other Sunday to take on DavieB's Thursday night team? One thing I personally dont want to happen is to go ahead and book pitches etc, if people wont turn up...

Fancy a kick-about?
Mounds are fine but they don't allow blades or studs. Trainers, as all have said, tend to be too slippy, although the astro-turf trainers are superb... It's in the name really! Seems to be a few people interested when including a few off the forum. Watch this space. EDIT: Moulds are good too... Woops

Signs when you know you're a ICT supporter.
Dreading making the phone-call from a phone-box in Edinburgh/Glasgow to make sure 'P-P' hasn't appeared on teletext back home Jim Calder's dyed blonde hair Regular visits to Palmerston Park Meeting Stirling Albion in the cup and thinking it was a massive game Being able to walk around the various terraces in the lower leagues and mingle with opposing fans The Blue and Yellow / The Orange and White / The 'Sailor Look' White away strips

Signs when you know you're a ICT supporter.
You'll find it was 4-0 after 22 mins. I remember it well. The likes of Ace Of Base and James were on the latest NOW compilation CD's and John Robertson, who was brought on as a substitute, was in my mind the sole reason we didn't complete the comeback that we thought may have happened. Not to mention this...

Fancy a kick-about?
Games would depend on numbers. Currently I attend a session that DavieB organizes during the week. Some of these have seen as little as 7-v-7 on a full size pitch, and as many as 14-a-side. I thought it'd be an idea to have a similar session sorted just for ICT fans. They'll be 1-hour kick-abouts. You could play as long or as little as you like in that time. I'm sure DavieB would lend us the bibs he has during the week.

Fancy a kick-about?
Just trying to gauge a little interest from Forum goers as to if they'd be willing to have a CaleyThistleOnline / CaleyJagsTogether football session on a Sunday afternoon. Currently, CTJ are looking to get the Fans Versus Legends match re-scheduled (again) after the weather caused us to postpone the previous two dates. Some of the fans team have expressed a desire to get in extra training sessions and give the Legends a real contest. In the past, some forum goers have also expressed their interest in a CTO kick about (to which some people did just that last summer prior to the County V ICT fans match in Glasgow). If there is plenty of interest, we can look into booking a pitch on a regular basis. Cost per head is yet to be decided (we need interested people first), but I can't see it being more than £2-£3 per person if we book an hour session at Millburn or Bught Park. (Any monies over the cost of the pitch could be set aside and donated to CJT) Like I said, this thread is to gauge interest from forum users. (I'd appreciate it if mods would keep it on the main ICT page)

Perhaps Barry is looking to give Graeme some game-time before us fans pummel them in the re-arranged Fans V Legends game TBC

Day 2 of 'Official Highland March Training' will see CapitalCaley and Myself take a walk to this one. Although I believe not all are heading to The Mallard this time around? Any idea's where all are heading, and if anyone is driving up, will they be able to a) provide a safe haven for our bags and b) have seats available to a lift back to ness?

St Johnstone -V- ICT
Personally I thought that was one of the most dire matches I've seen in a long time. And I include the 5-1 defeat to Motherwell amongst that, The majority of the game saw a 'herd' of players moving around the park as one. This meant there was little room to move and create anything. Foran had a woeful game and I was glad to see him hooked. Right decision. Conor Pepper seemed to inject a little life into proceedings (and plenty enthusiasm) but with the other lads already seemingly playing for the draw, there was little much more the lad could have done. Roberts was OK when he came on, but I was disappointed he wasn't closing down the keeper enough or quicker to chase the ball down when there was acres of space in front of him. One thing I thought may have effected the game was the 'clash of kits'. We'd have been as well playing in our home kit. A see of blue and white all over the park. St's would have been better wearing thier yellow strip and ourselves our home strip. Far more identifyable.

Roll Call for Boxing Day
Tempting as this may be, I'll not know till close on kick off if i'll be making this. I should be there for Saturday though :D

Dundee Utd -V- ICT
What an absolutely incredible day! At 2-0 down, there was nothing but shock at the woeful defending. There can't be that much argument for the third. It was a well worked and well executed goal. However, credit to my fellow chanters in the Lower Tier (particularly BigMac and Govan Jaggie), who at 3-0 down started chanting 'We're gonna win 4-3' and '4-3 to the Caley Jags'... There were a few little looks from the bench as if to say 'are they crazy', but once Billy got his first, I think belief eventually set in. The second goal came whilst Yompa was tucking into his corned beef piece, to which a chant was heard briefly aimed at the magical powers of said sandwich (and Capital Caley's? Cup of tea). 4-3 up was absolutely unbelievable and even at the time of the penalty I thought the ref blew for a foul on Foran. It was only seeing the players surround him that I knew he'd given a penalty. (Having watched it back on slow-mo and on BBC Alba, NEVER was it a penatly. Blatant push by Daly on Foran). Overall, I can't complain at getting a point. I'd said before the game that it would be a 'must not lose' and that I would settle for a draw. With us being up against the bottom three in the league for our next three fixtures we could see ourselves still up there come new year. But the lads can't be complacent and think these games will be a given, particularly as we play our Shadows at their place.

Really looking forward to CaleyAway tomorrow. I'm going down with the anticipation of a great match and all three points. But to be fair, I'll take a draw!

I presume there'll be a few heading down for this. Usually is a decent enough away crowd there. I certainly hope to be there! Pre-match boozer anyone?

Section E treatment
just because you have nothing better to do with your life. That makes no sense, but welcome to the forum anyway. I can understand people's frustration at being filmed etc and the stewarding that can go, what seems to be, a little too far. But what do people expect at a derby game when the previous one involved smoke bombs? The reputation certain sections have had in the past has meant that there are really only going to be certain sections watched more closely than others when it comes to big games. I agree, it would be a lot better from the fans perspective to be allowed to just do what we want to do and self police. But there are, unfortunately, occasions where extra policing is needed. Simple solution would be to leave the smoke bombs. At the end of the day, how does a smoke bomb support the team in any way, shape, or form? It doesn't. As we can all see, this particular incident has had a knock on event and has don't nothing but stir up a little animosity between fellow fands
