  1. Would this thread have been created if we were more ruthless in front of goal and had won the game.
  2. Near future upgrades include the completion of the overtaking lane at Moy,the extension of the dual carriageway near Dalwhinnie by 1 km, and a 1 km extension e/w north of Kingussie 2 year time scale
  3. I was surprised how much effort had gone in to making it a bar and not just having the concourse area exactly the same and selling drinks through the pie servery. As for food, I suppose a wee bit of shrewd haggling for unsold servery pies wouldn't go amiss or even hospitality surplus could be sold as a mini meal in a takeaway style tray its all profit then instead of wastage but on the whole well pleased with what they have managed so far. As for prices, a bottle of Miller was ?2.80. It costs around ?3.40 in Johnny Foxes.
  4. What a waste of money !! How much cash do Celtic spend on transfer fees and wages to get their players on to the pitch, in the first half we made them look terrible, absolutely terrible, it was all one way traffic, money well wasted, well done for that. The game reminded me of a cup which we didn't win last season,we played so well in the first half of that match too, from that day I had a real sense of belief that the team could fight their way up the table, after many tough games, they won the league cup with ease. Today I left the ground a happy man, reminded of how good ICT are and can be, for all the money which was invested in the Celtic team, ICT were by far the superior team in the first half. From what I saw today I have faith in ICT having a very good season.
  5. Tried out the bar after the game. The club have done a great job, the first thing that you notice as you enter is a huge picture of the team winning the 1st div cup,so you can get a photo of yourself with the champions, plenty of room, friendly staff and the drinks aren't pricey, in fact I would say cheaper than a lot of the bars in the town, good layout and good size TVs on the wall to see the match highlights. I didn't know what to expect before going in but I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I think I could quite happily make this my local on match days.Well done ICT.
  6. A Celtic daft friend of mine was at the Celtic Blackburn game,he said The back four are a bit dodgy, he quoted Zaluska as being a roaming full back he kept wandering that far up the park and Blackburn kept trying to chip the keeper, one hit the bar he spends most of his time blaming the defense he said they are in desperate need of a new goalie.
  7. I heard (midweek)that they are a bit strapped for cash and only have a squad of 20 players, probably frustrated by the lack of funds available. My source wanted to back this up by saying that if you have too big a squad its difficult to keep the boys who aren't playing happy.
  8. You sure about that? There are 33 on our fixture list, being 3*11. I make it 43.
  9. This is great news, its the earliest Christmas present Ive had in ages and all parties win. MFR get a wider audience, we get to listen to the game, the sponsors get advertised and ICT reel in new fans, I'm hoping MFR can do for ICT, what TV has done for the Old Firms fan base.
  10. I remember that song- Dry your eyes mun, I know its hard to take but her mind has been made up... Regarding the bar does anyone have an up to date floor plan? just so that I can visualize myself laying on it.
  11. Or how about a pre-meeting place for the more vocal element(say under the bridge) at 2.40p.m , followed by a sing song as they march/stagger to the ground. The atmosphere would ten be built up on the way to the stadium. Thats too easy, its too easy to hide and go along with every one else's voice, we want leaders who aren't scared to stand out from the crowd and let their voice be heard, leaders who can sing with a hundred or sing alone and still sing from the heart, fear in not welcome at TCS, Grande cajoles would back me up on that one. I'm looking forward to the fearsome intimidating noise which will come from the home fans, The pressure of expectation lies heavily on the shoulders of the Celtic players and management, may as well deafen them too. no fear.
  12. Morton was far from being spoilt, even the stewards were impressed with the wit and endless enthusiasm on show, bar one of course who should have been sectioned. County have a vociferous support behind their goal at home but I think we are better. I really like the idea of a season ticket for section G, with no specified seat just that location, what would be the entry requirements? How about singing Bridge and a castle at Falcon square full pelt on your own, Saturday lunchtime. If you can do that you deserve to sit in section G.
  13. You mean "the cost of relegation and promotion the following season" doesnt quite have the same ring. An unreliable source told me that the end of season party cost 700k, mainly on a Rod Stewart lookalike and Les Kidgers fireworks. 200k on player bonuses, the shortfall was actually from the lack of will from the catering staff to have the desire and hunger to make sure they serve customers as fast as possible for 20 minutes.

Don't you mean one of the 'C-l--k-e seven' (sorry Roy) Great player to have in the squad, It amazes me how so many of our players have upped their level of professionalism to conquer the opposition as we have risen through the leagues
  15. [Geek alert] The definition of APR is more complicated than your calculation, taking into account the reducing debt balance over the course of the contract and then annualising the interest charge. [Geek alert ends] (Me thinks you would have to be a geek for that type of reply) Your quite right in your geeky definition on why the APR is 19.9, that is why I used the word overpayment as it sounds more appealing than being scared off by an annual percentage rate of 19.9. My initial post is more to do with encouraging fans to take up the payment plan if they cant afford a season ticket out right and merely stating that it wont cost them a fortune in extra charges in doing so,it would also still be cheaper than going to every game and paying at the gate.
  16. Ive just checked Scotty's link which includes the prices and they are quoting 19.9% apr for installments ???.I make it an overpayment of only 8.57% ie Main stand adult Season ticket costs £350, 10 monthly payments of £38 = £380. £350 x 8.57% = £29.995 + 350 = £379.995. So the most you are going to pay is £30 more than the season ticket price, this will be less for concession/north stand etc. You don't have to put your name on it but will cost extra if you choose to "Batman"? I would suggest popping in and seeing where the available seats are on their pc in the club shop, you will have a better idea of where the available seats are as opposed to just being given a seat number. With it being a bit late for buying a season ticket, bear in mind that you may not get to sit in your seat for the Celtic game as someone may have already bought the seat for that game,I would say its safe to assume that they would give you a ticket for another seat for the day. Better to buy a season ticket late than not at all though.
  17. Any updated info for the supporters bus? is it continuing as usual or will the supporters trust be getting involved too. I haven't used them in ages and after looking at the fixture list, I don't fancy driving to Perth on the 1st of January so me thinks the bus will come in pretty handy, especially if it involves a larger away support whilst pushing for/maintaining a top six place next year. Has anyone got any solid facts? please don't post 'phone Cath'
  18. 'Hey wawbag, ge us too San Miguels by the way but' translated into Weegie.
  19. Who he? Georgie Besat was the famous footballer from old, The only one who could match him was Oliver Reed.
  20. Its meant to be this week and played on 24/25 August, against a team ranked 5th in division 1 or lower last season.
  21. I'd say it was good news for Celtic fans , it showed guts and passion and a little bit of skill to come back from 2 - 0 down and get a draw . An early goal at Parkhead and you never know what could happen in the 2nd leg against Braga . Agreed, while their away form in Europe is awful they can turn it on at Parkhead. If they get an early goal and then another before HT (which isn't beyond possibility) then it could be a nervy tie for the Portuguese. They just have to play with one of Mogga's 'attack' minded formations mind you. Your right if the get one goal, another one, another one and one more they have won.
  22. This will be a major blow to Celtic as they try to lure players, who are a bit 'special' to parkhead with the promise of champions league football.
  23. I'm pleased for the coaching staff too,it must be great to see all that time and effort invested in youth come to fruition.
  24. Any figures been produced yet regarding how many season ticket holders we have?
