  1. Me neither, I think adults who wear football shirts are a bit sad myself. The only ones not wearing a football top at Celtic park are either away fans or neutrals young and old. I think it would look good seeing masses of red and blue in the stands, just like it looked good for united to see a mass of orange at their cup final. I would say it looks better wearing an ICT top in the summer than not wearing one at the game but wearing a scarf, self awareness is our fans downfall. ?5 thats all last seasons tops cost in the shop after the Celtic game.
  2. I would rather gloat about my team being top of the league for the last 2 weeks of the season than the first two, Fail loon.
  3. Hear hear, I'm calling a meeting with the board tomorrow. The boys must be feeling pretty disappointed to lose, not to worry they'll win it next year and have a lot more important games to be involved with between now and then.
  4. So Rangers,Celtic,DDU,Hibs,Motherwell,Hearts,St Johnstone and Aberdeen will be drawn against the rest in the next round.
  5. Will we be the SPL whipping boys or is it Hamilton ? I cant really understand this post. We are one game in and lost by 1 goal to a team with a transfer value of 20-30 million pounds and we managed to make them look really crap in the first half so I don't really understand the link with Hamilton conceding 8 goals in 2 games and us. Will we be the SPL whipping boys? just remove that thought from your brain. So said the prophet "Even if Dundee have a 26 point lead over us by Christmas, fear not for we shall still win the 1st division cup" and the prophets mate said "believe"

Sounds like youll be giving MFR a go then.
  7. At least the the Club made some money out of them. And Strathclyde police had it cushy with so many numties out of the city for a day. When I left the bar there were a few just loitering, I don't know if they missed their bus and were hanging around by the A9 roundabout waiting for inspiration, all that I could sense was perspiration, as one said said to me in the passing "f**k the queen"?? I was going to pat him on the head and give him a lolly but I didn't have any lollies on me,I'm assuming thats one of the first thing he saw taught to say whilst wearing nappies to humor the grown ups.
  8. I couldn't believe it when I read in the Courier that Tokely and Hayes were carrying knocks. I thought I would invest some cash in the team so I put a bet on mid week for Tokely to score 19:1 and Hayes first scorer at 16:1 and covered it with an ew bet at 6:1 to score anytime during the game. Thats just a wee bonus,as long as team do us proud I'm happy.
  9. Why not I think a lot of County fans should be admitted.
  10. Loads of different views with lots of +s and -s, I really cant see the perfect answer. Too many SPL teams will kill the SFL and have a detrimental affect on the SPL. An 18 team league? Less TV money, not as many big games, less gate money and less games. Falkirk,Dundee,Dunfermiline,Partick,Qos and County join us, taking all of those out of the SFL, means the 7th team in the SFL could win promotion to the SPL the following season, which is the team that currently just about avoids the playoffs for div 2 ?? SPL 14 Teams. After 26 games the league splits into SPL 1 and SPL 2, (yes at least recognize that something has happened and name it) top 6 and bottom 8, SPL1,The top 6 is where you want to be,high gate figures, TV coverage and no unfair home/away advantage that we currently have after the split. only 36 games you may say but if you think about it,the best 6 teams in Scottish football should be good enough to stay in the cup games longer than the rest and 2 games less for some teams may be a blessing, they also have more fans attending for the last 10 crucial games as mentioned above. SPL2, The bottom 8, a cup is now created and will become as important at the 1st division cup is to us, with all to play for, 1 relegation and 1 play off with 2nd pl SFL. 2 extra games to compensate for smaller attendances, which will grow as the cup final nears. 14 games. The SFL 1 only loose the best 2 teams, which means, more competition the following season to win promotion to the SPL and more excitement involved with the hope of reaching the playoffs in 2nd place. 10 teams remain to keep it competitive. SFL 2/3 option 1 The new SFL 2 is created with 20 teams with promotion and relegation to junior league. SFL 2/3 option 2 North & East, and South & central, leagues created to cut down on traveling costs and hopefully more derby games, winners involved in playoffs with bottom 2 in SFL 1. League teams reassessed each year as SFL1 relegation may alter boundaries. This should freshen things up from top to bottom.
  11. Thats why I think football calendars should be from August to July instead of Jan to Dec.

Did anyone listen to MFR ICT and how did they perceive the game.
  13. Ive just watched the highlights on the bbc website, your dead right the defender deliberately clipped Hayes heel with his hand,I say deliberately because the hand movement wasnt natural motion as he pulled back and extended again when Johnnys heel was within reach.
  14. Would this thread have been created if we were more ruthless in front of goal and had won the game.

I was surprised how much effort had gone in to making it a bar and not just having the concourse area exactly the same and selling drinks through the pie servery. As for food, I suppose a wee bit of shrewd haggling for unsold servery pies wouldn't go amiss or even hospitality surplus could be sold as a mini meal in a takeaway style tray its all profit then instead of wastage but on the whole well pleased with what they have managed so far. As for prices, a bottle of Miller was ?2.80. It costs around ?3.40 in Johnny Foxes.
  16. What a waste of money !! How much cash do Celtic spend on transfer fees and wages to get their players on to the pitch, in the first half we made them look terrible, absolutely terrible, it was all one way traffic, money well wasted, well done for that. The game reminded me of a cup which we didn't win last season,we played so well in the first half of that match too, from that day I had a real sense of belief that the team could fight their way up the table, after many tough games, they won the league cup with ease. Today I left the ground a happy man, reminded of how good ICT are and can be, for all the money which was invested in the Celtic team, ICT were by far the superior team in the first half. From what I saw today I have faith in ICT having a very good season.

Tried out the bar after the game. The club have done a great job, the first thing that you notice as you enter is a huge picture of the team winning the 1st div cup,so you can get a photo of yourself with the champions, plenty of room, friendly staff and the drinks aren't pricey, in fact I would say cheaper than a lot of the bars in the town, good layout and good size TVs on the wall to see the match highlights. I didn't know what to expect before going in but I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I think I could quite happily make this my local on match days.Well done ICT.
  18. A Celtic daft friend of mine was at the Celtic Blackburn game,he said The back four are a bit dodgy, he quoted Zaluska as being a roaming full back he kept wandering that far up the park and Blackburn kept trying to chip the keeper, one hit the bar he spends most of his time blaming the defense he said they are in desperate need of a new goalie.
  19. I heard (midweek)that they are a bit strapped for cash and only have a squad of 20 players, probably frustrated by the lack of funds available. My source wanted to back this up by saying that if you have too big a squad its difficult to keep the boys who aren't playing happy.
  20. You sure about that? There are 33 on our fixture list, being 3*11. I make it 43.
  21. This is great news, its the earliest Christmas present Ive had in ages and all parties win. MFR get a wider audience, we get to listen to the game, the sponsors get advertised and ICT reel in new fans, I'm hoping MFR can do for ICT, what TV has done for the Old Firms fan base.

I remember that song- Dry your eyes mun, I know its hard to take but her mind has been made up... Regarding the bar does anyone have an up to date floor plan? just so that I can visualize myself laying on it.
  23. Or how about a pre-meeting place for the more vocal element(say under the bridge) at 2.40p.m , followed by a sing song as they march/stagger to the ground. The atmosphere would ten be built up on the way to the stadium. Thats too easy, its too easy to hide and go along with every one else's voice, we want leaders who aren't scared to stand out from the crowd and let their voice be heard, leaders who can sing with a hundred or sing alone and still sing from the heart, fear in not welcome at TCS, Grande cajoles would back me up on that one. I'm looking forward to the fearsome intimidating noise which will come from the home fans, The pressure of expectation lies heavily on the shoulders of the Celtic players and management, may as well deafen them too. no fear.
  24. Morton was far from being spoilt, even the stewards were impressed with the wit and endless enthusiasm on show, bar one of course who should have been sectioned. County have a vociferous support behind their goal at home but I think we are better. I really like the idea of a season ticket for section G, with no specified seat just that location, what would be the entry requirements? How about singing Bridge and a castle at Falcon square full pelt on your own, Saturday lunchtime. If you can do that you deserve to sit in section G.
