Supporting England?!?
Quite a few of us became Romanian fans two years ago, so if Cox was in the England team would that make a difference.

Letter from TB
I got mine too, a nice letter to receive and personally signed too, not printed, theres an indentation on the on the opposite side of the signature. I didn't feel the need for SWALK on the back of the envelope but it was a nice gesture anyway.

Bulvitis: Deal or No Deal?
IMO he was OK when TB and MM moved DP to MF and NB to RB.

Fans - 2 good, 2 bad
I saw a couple of people leaving too but you have to bear in mind that they probably had to be somewhere else shortly afterwards. Barrowman left early, any complaints about that ? we were 10 points behind Dundee then.

Daily Record coverage
There's maybe a hint there in the bit I've highlighted. The media can't go on covering this ICT story in depth forever. What you have to remember is that Caley Thistle won the title away back now on April 21st amid great media acclaim. In the case of the BBC, commentary on Raith v Dundee was laid on just for that purpose and Ross Tokely was on air within minutes of confirmation. Then there was a great celebration at Ayr and a 7-0 away win which also attracted a great deal of coverage - in the case of the BBC, Chic on Open All Mics and a great deal of follow up, including parts of the manager's impromptu speech. By the time you get to Saturday's event, yes it's a great day for ICT fans, but the fact that ICT did what they did is no longer NEWS. On the other hand, Stirling wininng the Second Division IS now news, and so is the relegation of Ayr and the ongoing Killie/ Falkirk scenario in the SPL etc etc. I think you also have to look at this from the perspective of the vast majority of people who use these media and who are NOT Caley Thistle fans. Newspapers and other media have a major onus to report breaking news and the kind of gratifying ongoing coverage which, OK the fans of successful teams really enjoy, is only a minority taste and there is therefore a limit to the extent to which it can be indulged. As for the BBC, coverage of Saturday's game amounted to the following - * Robbo on air all afternoon on Open all Mics. There was also commentary (I'm not sure if it was used live or otherwise - I certainly used it on this morning's local news report) on the moment Grant Munro held up the trophy. * A TV match report at 4:50. * An online match report on the BBC website from around 7:30. * Extensive coverage on the BBC local news bulletin this morning, including interviews with Terry Butcher, Grant Munro, George Fraser and David Sutherland. You also have to remember that something like this will obviously have a rather longer shelf life in the local media where it's a much bigger deal than nationally where the are far more fish to fry, so there really is a limit to which any one story can dominate other, breaking, fresher ones. Regarding the part that Ive highlighted, only joking, understandable that fresh news takes precedence over current news -the 'tomorrows news yesterday' philosophy. :022: Seeing as I was at the match and not checking media coverage, in the pub and not checking media coverage,or hung over and not checking media coverage, oh I nearly forgot, I didn't mention TV or radio coverage in my initial post. I thought you would be doing such a fantastic job promoting ICT, I didn't feel the need to raise the issue. My comments were only based on the BBC sport SFL web page. Thanks for the reply Charles.

Bulvitis: Deal or No Deal?
Yes, even as a sub he slots into his position well As for Stewart Golabeck I would rather see him as a first team player than coming off of the bench as he needs to play all the time to get the best out of him.

Daily Record coverage
Fair enough but seeing as I didn't check their website every day following Dundee's midweek loss I cant really comment on how much coverage ICT got, where the most important day should have had better coverage.
-
Daily Record coverage
Well done for raising the issue. The BBC sport website wasnt much better either yesterday with the main SFL page being covered by Stirling Albion winning the cup, how many were at this title deciding game? 1102 !

Post-Match Thread : ICT -V- Dundee
Well done to Les Kidger for the making the day being such a memorable one, well done to Titch for the commentary and getting the fans off of the pitch,we have come a long way from trying to kick a football in to the boot of a vw beetle for entertainment. And polished off with a fine performance from Terry after the game. The noise the youngsters made in the away stand was excellent, if that was a first football match for some, then what a great day for them to remember. Its also good to see so many teenagers at the game, these are the fans that do our recruiting during and after school by talking about ICT. I hope the season ticket pricing will encourage these fans to turn out in number next season. What a great day and we even got a football match to watch as well.

Party in the Park
It humoured me when he kept mentioning the Dundee fans there were only 50 or so.

so are the real fans geting to hold the cup
The council should be organising something surely seeing as the local economy will be boosted by visiting SPL fans. Open top bus? It would be more fun if they went around the town in open top cars following T and M in a rickshaw.

Highland March 8
I think its further if you count walking round the pubs and still in good voice at 3 am.

14 Team SPL
I think 14 is a step in the right direction, The clubs with a smaller gate play more games and increase revenue 40, the ones with the bigger attendance play less games 36,also bearing in mind that 3 or 4 of those top 6 clubs should also be playing games in Europe and going further in domestic cups The SPL is currently 38 games and you don't even know how many home or away games you are going to have. I would say its a lot fairer than the mystery split.
-
Letter from TB
Didn't get one either, can anyone copy and paste it. If its for the away fans, then I believe they have had a positive effect on the team. Of the away games that I have attended not only have I been proud of the players but also proud of our vocal away fans.

Party in the Park
MFR will broadcast live from the Stadium from 2 pm and circa 2.20 pm on to the pitch will come The Highland Marchers -- hardy Caley Jags fans who have been walking from Ayr since last Saturday's game. Terry Butcher hopes to march round the pitch with them. This is followed by live entertainment -- a special musical act which is being kept under wraps to surprise the crowd. This act will also perform at half time. After the game, we will have a Hampden-style stage presentation on the pitch as the trophy is presented to skipper Grant Munro, with another surprise feature. After the medals are handed over, the manager and players will take time from their lap of honour to be interviewed live on MFR. Copied this from the first post if they are also playing at half time I would say its highly likely they are playing prior too. What is classed as a 'special musical act' is it the topless singing woman who plays with fire from Britain's got talent?

Pitch Invasion Repercussions
Its been made pretty clear now. Regardless of ICT getting fined, if a fan is stupid enough to run on to the pitch after all of these warnings when ICT score against Dundee, they are going to miss the rest of the game, the lifting of the cup and maybe even a ban for next season. Save it to the end and enjoy all of the day. A reliable source tells me that Dundee's training this week consists of seeing how fast they can run down a tunnel when they hear a whistle. Something to do with Butcher asking the fans not to strip the players.

PLAYER SPONSORSHIP
