Adam Rooney scored tonight (31 Mar) in Aberdeen's 7-0 pumping of Dundee. btw I am going to be out of the country for the next couple of weeks with limited access to the Internet, so my updates on this thread may be patchy (or non existent). I'll do a 'catch up' when I get back.

Greg Tansey...
No real surprise that he is going, finally. In hindsight, it might have been better to take the money for him in the January window 15 months ago, when his likely move to Aberdeen was first mooted. Personally, I have liked Tansey. Definitely one of our better signings. We'll miss his free kicks and especially, penalty kick taking. He has been a good servant and I wish him well, but probably best that we don't use him over these last few matches this season.

Partick -V- Inverness CT
Watched it all this morning on CaleyJags TV. What little football there was came mostly from PT. But all credit to the defence for holding out. Thought the offside for Billy for Anier's "goal" was a bit harsh. Nothing offside about Warren's equaliser though. Very pleased for him. He has taken quite a lot of stick on here this season. He has been, imo, ICT's best ever signing. I'd love him to have one more season, if his legs can carry him through it. I'm fairly optimistic that we will be stronger in the two upcoming crucial home games with Tremarco and Draper back, and I hope, Mulraney too. We need his pace down the wing to provide some much needed service for Billy. Also, Tansey seems to have got his mojo back. So, onwards and upwards, six points from next two games could make the bottom of the league look quite different.

Beware the Ides of March
Being at a loose end yesterday afternoon, I too watched this game. At least the TV was on, even if I didn't give it my full attention. I agree with DD's assessment of PT. In addition, they showed absolutely nothing going forwards, until the last seconds of the game. If we can't beat this lot on yesterday's showing, we probably don't deserve to be in the top division. Mind you, Aberdeen were not exactly great themselves, apart from a nice move for their goal, and a couple of good saves from the PT keeper. The thing which struck me yesterday about this game was how much the ball was in the air. It seemed to be nothing but headers back and fore the whole game. Dire to watch. Not exactly a great advertisement for Scottish football. Anyway, I honestly think we can beat them at Firhill, despite our poor record there over the years.
