  1. This OFW situation is a farce. If the truth is as described above by Steve G, (and the way he writes implies that he knows what he is talking about) then our manager really needs to get a grip and get OFW back playing. Ridgers has been a disaster from day one. I know OFW has his faults as a keeper, but surely putting him in the 'shop window' is about the only way that another team is likely to make a bid for him. So far I'm less than impressed by JR in his second spell with us. Some really dodgy signings, strange team selections and tactics. Has he been taking advice from RF?
  2. Only goal I spotted this afternoon, 9 Sep, was another by Phil Roberts for Braintree (That's 6 now in as many weeks!). I also missed a couple mid week , one for Zander Sutherland for Brora in a NOS cup tie, and one for Dan Park, for Cove in an Aberdeenshire cup tie.
  3. And well said Kingsmills too!
  4. Armstrong got another for Celtic tonight (8 Sep) in their 4-1 win at Hamilton.
  5. H/T 1-1 F/T 1-2 ICT Polworth St M Morgan Crowd 3999
  6. Henri Anier scored today (7 Sep) for his Finnish club, Lahti in a 4-2 win at JJK.
  7. Phil Roberts is in good scoring form this season, with another tonight (5 Sep) for Braintree in a 1-1 draw v Welling.
  8. Yes, I have noticed that he hasn't yet got a club since being released by Blackpool. I think he is a bit deluded about his own ability these days. A Blackpool supporting pal of mine saw him a couple of times whilst he was there, and said he made no impact on either game. Coupled with his iffy disciplinary record, I suspect his career may be over as far as any decent standard goes. Glad to see that he wants a club commutable from Preston. That should rule him out for us.
  9. Yes, I too welcome the return of Tremarco. We have really missed him at the back, not to mention his goals! It would be a real loss if he were to be tempted away from us, but not exactly surprising. His rise to stardom with us has been one of the success stories over the past couple of years. He never got much of a look in when Shinnie was at LB, and there were many on this forum who did not rate him. Had we lost the Cup Final, I am sure he would have carried a lot of the blame from many folk for being sent off (despite, imo having had a really good match up to that point). Anyway, I'm delighted that he is back, and let us hope it coincides with a good run of form for ICT.
  10. Other scorers this afternoon (02 Sep) .... EL2 J Roberts (2) (Crawley 2 - Yeovil 0) National League (S) P Roberts (Oxford C 1 - Braintree 2) Irn Bru Cup R McAllister (Peterhead 2 - Annan 0) Highland League J Wilson (3), D Gillespie, S Rennie (Rothes 6 - Clach 2)
  11. Adam Evans scored another for Shelbourne tonight, (01 Sep), in a 1-1 draw at Waterford, and, of course, ...... Stuart Armstrong scored for Scotland
  12. I don't get to that many matches these days, especially 'home' matches. But the few times I've been, I have seen these youngsters in action, and yes, they do provide a bit of atmosphere. But, like for anyone else, there are rules to be obeyed, and when they infringe them, especially when safety of fellow supporters could be compromised, then they have to be taken to task. If they are not able to admit that sometimes they overstep the mark, then clearly they have a lot of growing up to do. So, if they now choose to take the huff and stay away, that is their choice, and I dare say there are quite a few supporters who will not miss them.
  13. Two Highland League scorers last night, 30 Aug................. Jamie Duff for Brora in a 3-0 win v Forres and Stuart Leslie for Clach in a 2-1 win v Keith
  14. Adam Evans scored the only goal last night, 28 Aug, in a win over St Patrick's Athletic, enabling Shelbourne to reach the Leinster Senior cup final.
  15. I have just come back from a golfing holiday in the north of Scotland with 5 pals. Our schedule did not permit us, unfortunately, to get to Brechin for the match. We did however get to Forres to see them play Cove, my first Highland League match in over 30 years!. On arriving at Mosset park we headed straight for the bar in the back of the stand. The Forres officials there , including the chairman, could not have been more welcoming to a group of 6, predominately English, visitors. The stadium announcer, before reading out the team sheets, even gave us a special welcome over the tannoy! As to the game itself, Cove looked to be a tidy, well organised outfit, and could have had more goals. Now I come to the bit that might have some relevance to this thread title. Cove's centre forward, Mitch Megginson, was the best player on the park, by a mile. I'm surprised that ICT, or any other senior league side for that matter, has not made a bid for him to play at a higher level. Just a thought.
  16. Just got back from a week away. As well as Ryan's goal reported by Eagle above, I spotted the additional scorers over the w/end.... Adam Rooney also scored for Aberdeen Jordan Roberts scored for Crawley Town Rory McAllister scored for Peterhead Michael Finnis scored for Clach Adam MacLeod scored for Strathspey Jamie Wilson scored for Rothes.
  17. And tonight, 22 Aug, Marley Watkins scored his first competitive goal for Norwich in a 4-1 EFL Cup win over Charlton
  18. Tarmo Kink scored for his new club, Levadia Tallin, (in Estonia), on his debut this afternoon, 22 Aug, in a 9-0 drubbing of Sillamae.
  19. Stealing the microwave? That's unforgivable.
  20. Only spotted two scorers this afternoon, 19 Aug,...... Phil Roberts (again) for Braintree Town, and Dale Gillespie for Rothes
  21. H/T 1-1 F/T 2-1 ICT Polworth Morton McHugh Crowd 2373
  22. I see he scored for them in their first match of this season a couple of weeks ago. I've updated my records to include him again. He was a regular scorer for Forres a couple of seasons ago.
  23. Sorry BB, you just beat me to it with this one
  24. Only two scorers tonight, 15 Aug ....................... Phil Roberts with another for his new club, Braintree Town, and the prolific scorer, Curtis Allen with another for Glentoran.
  25. Gregory Tade has, according to Wiki, signed for Maccabi Petah Tikva FC in the Israel Premier League
