Inverness CT -V- Celtic
Can't agree with that. While there is still a glimmer of a chance of achieving 10th spot, all the efforts should be concentrated on that aim (manager, players and supporters alike). Relegation I fear will definitely be a financial disaster leading to the loss of many jobs, and as I don't think we have the ability to bounce back up, I can see the possibility of us slipping into relative obscurity, part time football etc. So, one more giant push is needed from everybody to gain us another year in the top flight, and buy us a bit of time to sort ourselves out next season.

Goalkeeping Crisis
Well, after last night's blunders by OFW, are we in a crisis situation again? It has been implied that OFW is carrying an injury. Maybe so, but I don't think that was the problem last night against Celtic. In between errors, he actually made some important saves. But, for me, OFW has never been a great kicker of the ball, and his positioning for free kicks has always been suspect, right from day one, and it is those frailties which cost us two goals last night. He was not to blame for the first and last goals. So, is Esson fit? If so imo he should be first choice for rest of season. If Esson is not fit I don't know what to suggest. Stick with OFW?, or promote our next in line?

Club Video : Match Highlights etc...
Looking forward to using 'Caleyjags tv' in on demand mode early tomorrow, as ages ago, before I knew it was going to be live on TV, I foolishly committed myself to playing in a bridge match tonight. I'll be lucky if I am able to catch the odd squint at my phone this evening to see how things are going. But, maybe that's no bad thing, come to think of it, going along with the "no news is good news" theory. But I live in hope of a positive result tonight. After all, we've done it before.

Our former managers
Will we never get closure on this now, quite tiresome, JH saga? I honestly don't think there are many posters on here who do not recognise what JH achieved with us. Certainly those heady days at Hampden, particularly the Scottish Cup win, and the dabble into Europe, will live long in our memories. It is just a pity that the memories are tarnished by the manner of JH's leaving the club. Whatever the absolute truth of the matter, many of us think that JH engineered his way out of ICT, at great expense to the club, after only months previously, signing a contract extension, at which time, I for one, am convinced the ongoing budget details for the club would have been made clear to him. Anyway, we now are where we are, and it is time to move on. We have a hard enough job on our hands for the rest of the season without continually harping back to JH.

Ex-ICT players' news
I notice that two of our much travelled ex players have recently found new clubs. Andreas Mutumbo has turned up at RNK Split in Croatia, and Eddie Ofere seems to be with FC Rosengard in Sweden. Also, Felipe Morais left Bradford City a few weeks ago for Bolton Wanderers.

Player of the Year - Rangers
In my excitement last night I posted this in the Hearts MOM thread in error 1 Mulraney The other two could have been picked from more than half the team. In the end I've gone for 2 Fon Williams, for a number of good stops which kept us alive, and 3 Billy Mckay, for a strike worthy of winning any game

Inverness CT -V- Rangers
Well, how good was that in the end? I feared the worst in the first few minutes when McCart looked well out of his depth and then Tremarco limped off. But we weathered the storm and gradually got on top. Great strike from Tansey, even with the wee deflection. Mccart redeemed himself with a great block in second half before we gave away another softish penalty. Could not believe Vigurs being given responsibility for our penalty. ffs Tansey has the best penalty strike rate for us by a mile, give the job back to him. And, what a winner! One of Billy's best goals for us, which could at the end of the day, be one of his most valuable. I'm already ordering up my large portion of humble pie, after, along with many others, being super critical of Foran these last few weeks/months. But, he did not do much wrong tonight, except, in my view, starting McCart instead of Warren. Hardest job for me tonight is not deciding who our MOM should have been. That was Mulraney, but who to put second and third. So many contenders, and that in itself, is a good thing. Huge congratulations all round to the management and team. Roll on the other ugly sister in a few days.

I only watched the extended Alba highlights. Yes, Draper does play hard, but I actually think he is a bit of a 'marked man' with refs these days. There was not much in the penalty, no push that I saw, just a tangle of legs which can happen with two players running closely together. He must have been gutted, the penalty incident coming so soon after he hit the post with a good header. For all his 'trouble' with referees, I fear we would have been even further adrift of the field this season without him. At least he always shows passion and gives 100%

The case foran against
Sad but true I'm afraid. I've copied and pasted below a paragraph from my post on 1st Feb in the "Should we replace the manager" thread. ......Give another management team the chance to rebuild , get the squad sorted out, and get them playing with some passion. I fear saving us from the drop would now need a miracle, and the new management team's primary role should be aimed at preparing us for Championship football..... Nothing has happened since then to make me change my mind. In fact the miracle needed to survive has only got bigger.
