Yes, what more can we say about him? He is just a top man. Hope he gets Wrexham up to EFL2. I hope they realise how lucky they are to get such a true professional.

Agree 100% I see he got on as sub after only 6 minutes today. Playing in front of over 8000. Not bad for 5th tier of English football. We'd like even half that at our home games.

The count of red cards, yellow cards and penalties conceded this season is an absolute disgrace. We can't keep blaming the referees all the time. Clearly our indiscipline is at fault. JR needs to sort it out , and quickly.- 116 replies

Given where we were in the league a few weeks ago, it is great that we can now think about the possibility of reaching the play-offs. Still an awful lot of work with steady improvement needed. I suppose 2nd or 3rd are equally acceptable (given that we are unlikely to be 1st) to avoid playing the premiership club in the play -off 'semi'. Onwards and upwards, starting with a good win at Falkirk on Saturday.- 78 replies

Excellent draw in the end. I was fearing the worst after Dundee went ahead. Looking forward to the draw for the next round now. Well done to all concerned.- 78 replies

Interesting. He was well liked, and successful with Blackpool, but surprisingly left to go to Bury at the start of this season. Presumably things have not worked out for him there.

Well said. I haven't seen enough games live to be able to comment about the contribution of Pollworth or Vigurs, but I do know that certain sections of our support over the years never seem happier than when they are having a go at our own players. It goes right back over the years to when Rory McAllister was a young lad playing for us. He got a torrid time from some of our support. But, I would suggest that he has proved himself to be a prolific scorer over the years, albeit at a lower level, and someone we should have encouraged and nutured, rather than virtually hound him out. Recent seasons have shown us how much we need a striker.- 78 replies

Yes, a comfortable win yesterday. England seem to go in to these ODIs (and 20/20 matches) with a different, much less negative, attitude. Good to see them turn the Aussies over.
-
Don't know if the standard of referees is that much better even in the EPL. They've awarded two clear cut 'hand ball' goals in the last couple of weeks!

In fact, since his one good season with us, he has been less than prolific wherever he has been, especially in England.

As previous poster said, plenty of clubs allow home and away fans to share different sections of the same stand. Only last week end I attended Oxford United v Blackpool and it was like this. I went with my mad keen Blackpool pal who lives near me in Berkshire. About 300/400 Blackpool fans, including me as a Blackpool fan for the day, occupied about one fifth of one of the stands. No problems at all going to, leaving the ground, or during the match. First time I'd been to an EFL league 1 match live. Not terribly impressed, certainly no better than most of the Scottish football I've seen. As an aside, pre-match we drank for at least an hour in the Oxford United club bar along with many other away fans, most of whom were wearing Blackpool colours, alongside umpteen home fans also wearing their club colours. No problems at all.

As long as he doesn't sign for us again I'll be happy. Our discipline is bad enough this season. Imagine what it would be like with him (Ian Black) back in the squad!

As I said on the Brechin thread, discipline seems to be a real problem for us this season. High time Robbo got it sorted before it costs us dearly. Anyway, lets see if we can see this game through.- 78 replies

The annual totals of goals scored by ex ICT players are below. But first, I have decided that, after quite a few years of keeping these records, I’m going to give it a miss next year. If anyone is interested in taking over, drop me a PM as I’ll be happy to let you have my spreadsheets and list of websites etc I’ve found useful in obtaining the more obscure results not usually available on BBC. In 2017 I found 66 scorers with a total of 425 goals, as follows :- 37 goals Rory McAllister (Peterhead) 32 “ Jason Oswell (Stockport, 19; NewtownAFC ,13) 20 “ Stuart Soane (Forres) 19 “ Curtis Allen (Glentoran) Ibra Sekajja (Dulwich Hamlet, 13; Bognor R, 6) 16 “ Phil Roberts (Braintree, 15; Chesham, 1) 15 “ Adam Rooney (Aberdeen) Andrew Greig (Brora R,13; Formantine, 2) 14 “ Stuart Armstrong (Celtic, 13; Scotland, 1) 13 “ Dan Park (Cove R) 12 “ Ryan Christie (Aberdeen) Zander Sutherland (Brora R) 10 “ Sam Winnall (Derby, 6; Sheff Wed, 4) Adam Evans (Shelbourne) 09 “ Gary Wood (Formantine) 08 “ Michael Finnis (Clach) Jordan Roberts (Crawley) Ben Greenhalgh (Concord R, 5; Hemel H, 3) Henri Anier (FC Lati, 6; Estonia, 2) 07 “ Dani Lopez (Arenas de Getxo) Jason Brown (Peterhead) Dale Gillespie (Rothes) Shane Sutherland (Elgin) 06 “ Jaimie Wilson (Rothes) 05 “ Gregory Tade (Qatar SC, 4; Maccabi Petah, 1) Ryan Williams (Ottawa Fury) Doug Imrie (Hamilton) Dennis Wyness (Huntly) Jonny Hayes (Aberdeen) Marley Watkins ( Barnsley, 4; Norwich, 1) Andrew Shinnie (Luton, 3; Hibs, 2) 04 “ Tobi Sho-Silva (Bromley) Graeme Shinnie (Aberdeen) 03 “ Tarmo Kink (Levadia, 2; Mezokovesd,1) Lonsano Doumbouya (SKN St Polten) David Proctor (East Kilbride) Martin Laing (Inverurie) Lewis MacKinnon (Buckie) Billy King (Dundee Utd) Lee Cox (Coalville T) Miles Storey (Partick, 2; Aberdeen, 1) Felipe Morais (Bolton) 02 “ David Davis (Birmingham) Tom Aldred (Bury, 1; Blackpool, 1) Alex MacDonald (Mansfield) Liam Hughes (Barrow) Lionel Cole (Tranmere) Don Cowie (Hearts) John Rankin (QoS) Gavin Morrison (Brora R) Stuart Rennie (Rothes) Grant Munro (Rothes) Alex MacLeod (Strathspey) 01 “ Eddie Ofere (FC Rosengard) Roman Golobard (Real Murcia) Dachi Kutsishvili (Spartans) Cameron Dingwall (Formantine) Stuart Leslie (Clach) Jaimie Duff (Brora R) Martin Cooper (Elgin) Ali Sutherland (Elgin) Joe Gorman (Airdrie) Nat Wedderburn (Dunferline) Robert Eagle (Leiston T) Steve Williams (AFC Fylde) Scott Boden (Wrexham) Andre Blackman (Barnet)

Scorers this afternoon (30 Dec) Sam Winnall (2) for Derby Doug Imrie for Hamilton Jason Brown (2) for Peterhead Rory McAllister for Peterhead Also, in checking up on a few players I hadn't seen on recent scoresheets I found that Jason Oswell, previously with Newtown in Wales, moved to Stockport County in August this year, and so far, has scored 19 (yes nineteen!) goals for them in the National League North. Don't know how I hadn't spotted that sooner.
