  1. OK, I got it wrong by about seven months. Fantastic performance by Murray, and thoroughly well deserved. Surely must be in the top 2 or 3 of Scotland's best ever sportsmen. Well done Andy. Another few majors still a real possibility for you. Good luck.
  2. Well done Yngwie, I've been looking for him for a while now. I'll add him to by ex ICT players list.
  3. Just noticed that Robert Eagle, who has played for a number of clubs in the Norfolk area since leaving us, is now with AFC Sudbury, in the Ryman Isthmian League, and scored a couple of times for them in October.
  4. Andre Blackman also sent off for Crawley yesterday (5 Nov)
  5. 5 Nov 2016 FA Cup A MacDonald (Merstham 0 - Oxford U 5) B Mckay ( Oldham 2 - Doncaster 1) SL 2 R McAllister (Peterhead 1 - Brechin 3) Highland League D Gillespie (2) (Strathspey 0 - Brora R 5)
  6. My wife and I celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary today. We're leaving shortly for a week-end break in a hotel with close family and friends. What better anniversary present could I wish for than another win at Parkhead? Oh, and Andy Murray achieving no 1 in the world tennis rankings later today would be good too. You can bet that I'll be having sneaky looks at my phone all afternoon and evening to follow the progress of both. Come on ICT.
  7. Well done to the big fellow. We can all be patronising and say "it is only Guinea". But, they are only a few spots lower than Scotland in the world rankings,(64 and 57). We would be thrilled if one of our Scottish players got into our national squad. Maybe this will be the confidence boost he needs to really show his worth and become a fan favourite. I'd certainly like to see him start converting some of these heading chances he has had in recent games.
  8. An early goal tonight (30 Oct) for Toby Agdestein, before being replaced after about half an hour (presumably through injury). His club, Haugesund, currently ahead 2-1 at Aalesund in Norway.
  9. In today's early kick offs (Sun 30 Oct), David Davis got Birmingham's goal in a 1-1 draw with Villa, and Dani Lopez got one for Arenas Club de Getxo in Spain in a 4-1 win at SS Reyes.
  10. 29 Oct 2016 Eng Championship M Watkins (Barnsley 2 - Bristol C 2) Scot Cup S Soane (Forres 4 - Cumbernauld 0) SL 1 R McAllister (Peterhead 2 - Stranraer 0) SL 2 S Sutherland (Elgin C 3 - Cowdenbeath 1) Highland League D Gillespie (2) (Brora R 6 - Clach 0) M Laing (Inverurie 3 - Strathspey 0) FA Trophy I Sekajja (Lowestoft T 1 - Dulwich Hamlet 2)
  11. Always disappointing not to hang on to a 2 goal lead. But after the injuries in the warm up and within the first 10 mins, I'm sure many of us would have settled for a point then. Still in 6th place, but a pity that Partick got a late winner to get close to us. Looking forward to seeing the comments of those at the match
  12. I missed another by Dennis Wyness on Wed 26 Oct, for Huntly in a 2-0 win at Fraserburgh in an Aberdeenshire Shield match
  13. Yes, the happy knack of scoring late goals has been our saving grace several times this season. Long may it continue, especially if these goals are for wins.
  14. And, Tarmo Kink got one for Mezokovesd last night (26 Oct) in a huge 13-0 win in a Hungarian Cup match
  15. Stuart Armstrong scored one of Celtic's four tonight (26 Oct), at Dingwall, and in Wales, Jason Oswell got one of Newtown's two, in a 2-3 home defeat to Carmarthen in TheWord cup.
  16. Great win Good for the goal difference too. And a great morale booster before we play Hearts on Sat. Hearts are nothing like the side who pumped us a few weeks ago, so I'm confident we can turn the tables on them and secure another valuable 3 points.
  17. Goon on ya, big man. Now let 's be sure of keeping this lead. Great stuff.
  18. Just noticed that Adam Evans left Bohemians a few weeks ago. He has dropped down a league and is now playing for League of Ireland division 1 club, Shelbourne United. So far he has scored twice for his new club.
  19. Sat 22 Oct 2016 Eng Championship S Winnall (Brentford 0 - Barnsley 2) Scot Cup S Soane (Cumbernauld 2 - Forres 2) S Sutherland (Gala Fairydean 0 - Elgin C 4) Betfred S/F A Rooney (Morton 0 - Aberdeen 2) Highland League M Laing (Keith 1 - Inverurie 6)
  20. Certainly a game I expected us to win, so disappointing from that point of view. But good to see another late goal from us. That is a a trend I can get used to, so different from last season.
  21. No goals that I spotted in any of tonight's matches (18 Oct) But, in doing a bit of tidying up my records today, I noticed that I missed Andrew Shinnie's debut goal for Hibs a few weeks ago, after his loan move from Birmingham. I also noticed that Ibrahim Sekajja has now dropped down a league to the Ryman Isthmian league, playing for Dulwich Hamlet for the past few weeks, and has scored twice for them already.
  22. I am sure most folks will agree with you DD. And you are right in that Knox will not have endeared himself to the other "more deserving" Scottish pros, by picking an unknown as his partner. Maybe that is where the fault has arisen, in letting the no. 1 Scot pick his own playing partner, rather than the team be picked in the conventional way by either world rankings or by a selection committee. I can't agree with your last paragraph where you say it would have been a better act of friendship for Knox to just pay for his mate to come and watch. Pretty sure Duncan Stewart would not agree either. Anyway, it is all very interesting and I look forward to seeing how it pans out.
  23. Russell Knox is Scotland's highest ranked golfer. As such he had the privilege of picking his playing partner to represent Scotland in a 2-man team in the World Cup of golf taking place in Australia next month. You would have expected him to pick one of the top Scots from the European tour. But, no, he has picked his old buddy from his Inverness days, Duncan Stewart, who is a struggling member of the Challenge tour, and has earned less than £2k a year from golf. Good on him. Many I'm sure will feel that it is a stupid move that will damage Scotland's chances of doing well in the lucrative event. But Knox says he is comfortable playing with Stewart, and that it was good fortune that his (Knox's) career blossomed when they left college in the US, and that it could easily have been the other way round. Great gesture of true friendship which I hope works out well for both of them. I shall follow the event with added interest next month.
  24. Sat 15 Oct 2016 Eng Championship M Watkins, S Winnall (Barnsley 2 - Fulham 4) Scot Premier J Hayes (Aberdeen 4 - Ross Co 0) SL 1 R McAllister (Airdrieonians 1 - Peterhead 3) SL 2 S Sutherland (Montrose 0 - Elgin C 5) Highland League M Finnis (Clach 2 - Inverurie 0) D Wyness (2) (Huntly 2 - Strathspey 2) A Greig (Formantine 1 - Brora R 4) S Soane (Rothes 0 - Forres 5)
  25. Exactly as Robert said, OFW, Draper, Tremarco
