  1. IHE Is it possible because the guy is French, the quote you are making such a big thing of, which he made, in English, is not quite the way he intended it to be? How's your French, btw? And, just how many goals has he, solely, been responsible for? Then compare that to any of Munro, Tokeley, Fraser, Essen, Proctor and probably all the other defenders. Is there much of a difference? I think not. You, IHE, were one of Hastings biggest critics. At least you personally are not advocating his return, favouring as you do, McBain, at left back. But I do find it laughable that so many others are pushing for Hastings to get back in. Don't get me wrong, I think Hastings has been a great servant to ICT, but, in my view he has been found lacking this season, even before his injury. Clearly Butcher, unlike IHE, doesn't fancy McBain at left back, so imo he has had no choice but to give Lionel an extended run. He was very brave to start him at left back against Celtic, after his poor showing against Partick, but Lionel overall has not let him down, and I would be surprised if he didn't stick with him for the rest of the season.
  2. Well said Caley D. I feel many of our fellow supporters are too quick to jump on Lionel's errors, and completely ignore those of others. Maybe watching on Setanta gives me a slightly different perspective, but I thought today, although maybe not his best performance, he was certainly no worse than Munro (as you said), who isn't being hounded by our colleagues. Lionel has had some cracking games for us since he established himself in the side, and I don't see him letting us down in the run in, any more than anyone else might.
  3. Motherwell 2 up v St midden can only be good news for us. Hope Killie put it over the Bairns today too. Then a win for us tomorrow and we can start to relax!. Here's hoping!
  4. Boo hoo. Poor Chelsea's prima donnas throw their toys out of the pram. Grow up ffs.
  5. As a neutral, frankly, I'm glad Chelsea are out. Man U v Barca will be a much better final. Whatever one thinks of the referee, Drogba's (and others) antics at the end were out of order. Until we get video replays for things like penalty decisions, the referee's decision, which he has to make in a flash, is always going to be contentious and prone to error.
  6. I like the current home strip, and the 04/05 white away strip is my favourite.
  7. On top of ICT's great win today against St Mirren, the English team I support, Exeter City, clinched promotion for the second season running. I have suggested their management/DOF duo, Paul Tisdale/Steve Perryman as candidates for the ICT job on the last two occasions it has been up for grabs. Maybe one day, if big Tel moves on, (I am not unhappy with him btw). Also, my closest League 2 side, Wycombe, today clinched promotion to Div 1. So a good day all in all. And tomorrow, my closest Championship side, Reading, could win an automatic place in the Premiership. I don't actively support Wycombe and Reading, but I like to see them win.
  8. Wow! How scarey was that in the last few minutes? Well done guys! Massive result.
  9. Just a couple of noisy ones and a few quiet ones!

  11. We really are turning into a load of whingers. Blaming the referee gets us nowhere and is childish in the extreme. We lose games because we don't play well and can't score goals. Simple as that. Bad refereeing decisions generally even out, maybe not in the course of a game, but certainly over a season. For example, many would say, including me, that we were lucky to get the last minute penalty against Rangers. I'm sure there are other examples on either side of the argument. To those who persist in blaming referees for our plight, grow up ffs.
  12. I caught a bit of Motherwell v Dundee Utd being replayed on the Gaelic channel, BBC Alba last night. Absolute gash. I can't believe either of these two teams are so far ahead of us in the SPL. And Motherwell's pitch of course is an absolute joke. Kids could build sand castles on it!
  13. I'm glad he played well again yesterday. A bit harsh to make him the total scapegoat for the loss to Falkirk. Admittedly he gave away a penalty, but from what I understand, we were all over Falkirk in the second half, even with 10 men, and our defeat could be quite easily attributable to our inability to score goals. Not for the first time this season either.
  14. Very good IHE. Here's another verse :- How many vodkas does Johndo drink at night Before he comes on to this board How many times must he tell us he is right Before he knows we are bored When will he know that he talks so much shyte Maybe once Djebi-Zadi has scored Or, the answr my friend is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind
  15. I had noticed that you had actually agreed with someone else. That was surprise enough! But you really know how to upset a man - I can live with being called 'soft', and even '*******', but 'southern'? Now that really hurts. There's me thinking I was just educating these folk in the Scottish suburbs, not becoming one of them.
  16. Off topic a bit I know, but that match Scotty refers to, v Rangers at Tannadice was one of the best ever 'away' days, even though we lost 3-0. I'll always remember the standing ovation we gave our team at the end. It seemed to last for minutes and even the Rangers fans were impressed.
  17. Spot feckin on - There is no comparison to that three. Excuse me while I go take a tablet and lie down - I find myself agreeing with IHE!
  18. Why don't you say what you mean, woman? But didn't you know that IHE has two a..es (as you call them), one he has tatooed and the other he speaks out of.
  19. Yes, I have. I presume that there was some point to that question.
  20. I just don't understand you. You still haven't answered my previous question - which players are consistent and a 100% reliable??? You're right to inply that no player is 100% reliable. We've seen that many times this season alone. However what you need to understand is that once IHE has a 'down' on a player, there is no changing him, no matter how well that player does. We've seen it before with Marius. Fortunately, not all ICT supporters are so blinkered. Keep the faith!
  21. Predictable utter bollox.
  22. So Zadi has passed the Castle Greyskull test as well. What's that, 6 in a row now with no sign of him letting us down? I see some of the doubters are coming round now. Maybe by the end of the season he might be accepted by the others as well, if they're man enough to admit it!
  23. Just watched the highlights. They made it look like Rangers v Esson!. Looks like we had a bit of luck at last. Not a lot wrong with Rangers 'goal' from what I could see, and I'm amazed we were awarded that penalty, especially in the last minute at Ibrox! Well done referee. I'm sure you will get a good reception next time you're at Ibrox. Anyway, absolutely great result. I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone played from those who were able to attend the game.
  24. Yes, its amazing isn't it, Absent Friend. We could name countless howlers which have cost us points this season, by, for example, Duff, Esson, Grant, just for starters. But because Zadi might make one he is singled out by some for special attention. Long may his good run of form continue.
  25. I agree 100%. It seems to me that certain posters on here can't wait for Zadi to mess up so that they can be first in with the 'I told you so' comments
