  1. Even I can't remember that far back!! But I do remember Caley playing Rangers at the Clach part, in a testimonial for Bobby Bolt, round about 51/52. There were well over 10,000 there that day to see an extremely strong Rangers side, including George Young and Willie Woodburn, win 5-3.

  3. H/T 1-1 F/T 1-3 ICT Warren 'Dee Macdonald Time 17
  4. How disappointing. I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. But it doesn't ease the pain of defeat. Now it will be up to Terry and the management team to keep up the morale of the team so that they treat this as a mere blip, and not a significant turning point. A convincing win in midweek at Dundee and another at home to Hibs next week should be enough to rebuild their confidence and keep us on track for a great season.

  7. The maths is correct using your 1 in 3 chance scenario. But it would come up with the same answer for all home wins, or in fact, all draws. As we know, winning away from home is generally harder, so if you were to use bookies odds for 6 away wins, a full set of 6 away wins would probably come out as one chance in a few thousand, but a set of six home wins would likely be one chance in about 50.
  8. Managed to avoid hearing the score and watched it 'live' on Alba. A game where neither side seemed to get out of second gear. Killie's close marking prevented us from playing the type of football we've come to expect this season, except in odd spells. Even though Killie probably had more possession, I never felt they looked dangerous. Their goal had a fair bit of good fortune in it. We were solid enough at the back with Brill being extremely competent when needed. Thought Foran and Doran were our best, with the latter deserving his Alba MOM. We complain about our support being quiet at home but, unless it was just how it came over on TV, I hardly heard a peep out of the Killie supporters all throughout a game of very liitle atmosphere. Still, another good 3 points and the dream continues.......

  10. Over 400 Exeter fans out of a crowd of 2000 at Dagenham yesterday. Quite remarkable when you think it is a journey of well over 200 miles for most of them.
  11. Isn't it amazing that we are actually debating whether we can win the league? Usually, at this stage of the season we are discussing whether we can avoid relegation!
  12. Probably Dagenham v Exeter for me. It means a grotty journey right round M25 (or maybe I'll just go through London), but I haven't seen my favourite English team (Exeter) for a while.
  13. Also, today, Sam Winnall scored for Scunthorpe, in EFL 2.
  14. Yes, sounded like another solid performance. Well done everyone. A pity there is no game next week so that this great momentum could have carried on. Will just have to be patient for a fortnight!
  15. We've talked before about McKay and penalties!! Fair enough I suppose to let him try for his hat trick, but personally I would have stuck with Vincent who scored the last one.
  16. H/T 1-0 F/T 3-1 ICT Vincent Hearts Paterson Time 17
  17. I don't think you are missing anything. It seems that simple to me. Win/win for both ICT and Hearts supporters. It seems to be mainly our fire breathing poster who is up tight about it.
  18. Watching Doran's penalty claim live on TV, my first reaction was that it would have been a soft award. However, having seen it several more times on the highlights, I think it was a clear penalty. Certainly I've seen many softer ones awarded (usually against us).
  19. Not sure that Chris actually ever played for Ipswich in EPL. I know he was on their books for a couple of years.
  20. Barring their games against us, I hope Hearts have a decent season, and avoid the drop. It is not the decent supporters' fault that mad Vlad has taken them to the brink.
  21. Totally agree with AM's comments above re Nick Ross. He was my MOTM yesterday. We have come to expect our back 4 to be solid this season. But I thought Raven had a hard time yesterday and struggled a bit. Warren and Meekings though have really developed into an impressive and reliable centre back pairing. There is speculation on another thread of how much McKay is worth. It wouldn't surprise me if Meekings (at still 20 years old) becomes our most valuable player in the fullness of time.
  22. In my heart of hearts, I, and I think, most ICT fans would have taken that result. Great defending for most of the game. It was funny, in the Celtic TV stream I managed to watch, listening to all their biased commentators shouting for free kicks, and for complaining for time wasting etc and wanting our players to be booked for any infringement. What a bunch of tossers. Anyway, a good result, and still top.
  23. Great chance missed. Doran looking for penalty instead of slipping ball to unmarked Ross. Hope we don't regret it.
