  1. TB - then we might get ICT players in Scotland squad!!!
  2. I met them at half time, and just managed, using sign language, to stop Mr Reguero following his wife into the ladies loo!
  3. Great to be at only my second live ICT match of the season. I thought we bossed the first half, playing lovely, controlled, on the deck football. Pity we missed the first penalty - we must do something to find a reliable scorer of them - which would have been a truer reflection of our first half superiority. Killie really came at us hard in the second half, even harder when they were down to 10, and we lost our composure, reverting to hoof ball tactics as we struggled to hang on. But hang on we did and another 3 points in the bag can't be bad. I enjoyed Terry's salute to the ICT fans at the end.

  5. Wow! I had to be out tonight so couldn't try to find a TV stream on the old computer. Sneaked a look at my phone a couple of times and saw we were one up at H/T. Was absolutely chuffed when I got home to find we had thrashed them. Well done to all concerned. I have never been a Terry fan, but I can see myself eating humble pie very soon. He has unearthed a couple of gems in Warren and Draper. All the other boys are pulling their weight too. Lets hope he can hang on to them for more than just this season. Onwards and upwards. I'll see some of you at Killie on Sat.
  6. My daughter's family are season ticket holders at Reading. Sometimes, if one of the adults can't make it, I get an invite. This has been the case last Saturday (v Fulham) and last night (v Arsenal). So, on my only two visits this season, I have seen 18 goals, six in the 3-3 draw with Fulham and 12 last night in the 5-7 loss against Arsenal (aet). Incredible what? Reading seem to be a bit like us this season, scoring freely, but often unable to hold onto a lead. Losing late goals seems to be the norm. They were one up against Fulham and four up against Arsenal!

  8. How is Esson able to 'fight' for his place? There arn't enough games that he can play in for him to impress TB. For me I'd have him back in for Ibrox. I know Reguero has not done much wrong in the past few weeks, but Esson is the no. 1 and has done little wrong in the last two or three years!
  9. Now that we seem to be getting our fair share of penalties again, its time we found a more reliable scorer of them. Is that the second one A Shinnie has missed? And the one he scored against Dundee utd the other week was anything but convincing.

  11. If I'm ever on trial Caley D, I want you on my jury! How much proof do you want? Many trials are decided by witness testimony as a key element. I think your witness 'colusion' argument is extremely weak. Also it is commonplace, particularly in America for fellow accused people to turn 'States evedience' in return for lighter sentences. Armstrong is as guilty as sin.
  12. Fillipe Morais - 2 for Stevenage tonight!
  13. Living in Englandshire, as I do, I've seen a few Conference teams play over the years. I think generally they would be much stronger than SL2. Having seen how Newco (Rangers) are doing in SL3 however, where they are certainly not getting it all their own way, it does make you wonder about the relative standard of the leagues. It will be interesting to see how ICT do against Newco at Ibrox in the league cup at the end of the month. We have a reasonable record against them, although they hammered us in our last meeting in Feb, but in our current run of form I am optimistic we'll get a result there. Good luck for your season. Thanks for Gary Warren. Why on earth did you let him go?
  14. I had a good feeling about this signing from the moment it was first muted. Everything I read about him, including the references from Newprt supporters who were clearly sorry to see him go, made me feel that he would be a success here. And so it is proving. Our other new boys are proving themselves too, especially Draper, so a big well done to our scout or Terry's contacts if that is how they were recommended to us.
  15. Managed to avoid knowing the score until I watched it on Alba. We always looked good going forward, and although Dundee gave us some problems between our great start and equally great finish, I was always confident we'd prevail. Good to see McKay take his goals well. That'll do his confidence no end of good. Two great saves by Reguero at end of first half. Apart from flapping at one corner, he had little to do in the second half. Roll on St J. I feel optimistic that we can beat them.
  16. The SFA have shown more than once in the past few years just how inept they are, so getting the timing wrong for Levein's replacement, would in fact show some consistency!! However, I think Levein must go. He is tactically naive, and I don't think he has ever recovered from his blunder in Prague last year. Also I don't get the impression that he is a good motivator. As to his replacement it is interesting to read the various candidates people have suggested. I don't have a particular hang up about it being a foreigner, even an Englishman ( but not Pearce) if whoever is chosen is right for the job. But my preference would be for a Scot. I personally wouldn't want Strachan, Dalgleish or Souness. McLeish seems the best of the bunch to me (and he didn't do too badly at it before), but I think that Doofer's Dad is right when he says that the SFA should give it proper consideration and not rush into a quick appointment they might later rue.

  18. Unlike the above poster, I'm not torn at all with the decision. He and his team systematically cheated for years. He does not deserve to keep any trophies, including the TDF, which he won while a cheat. I don't deny that he has raised lots for cancer charities. So do lots of ordinary folk every day. No sympathy for him.
  19. I suppose it was always coming after Bolton were relegated and made a poorish start in the championship. Nevertheless, a good bloke and good manager who won't be out of work for long I'd bet.
  20. What a great result. Even though we were second best for much of the second half we held firm and finished it off in style with a Doran cracker. County lucky to get the free kick they scored from. Doran's yellow at the end a total joke. Raven booking also harsh I thought. But, another win and up to sixth! Whoda thot it?

  22. I've not seen him yet, but if he's as good as everyone thinks, I wouldn't be surprised if his loan period is not extended, as Arsenal will probably want him to get EFL league 1 or even Championship experience under his belt as well as us.
  23. Well, for me that was as good as Andy Murray winning the Olympic title, and as good as his first Grand Slam victory. The only thing that could possibly better it in the next few months will be ICT winning the Scottish Cup. Just amazing, and in a long history of remarkable Ryder Cup performances over the last 2 or 3 decades, that was the best ever. Poulter should be knighted!
  24. Well, that result has fair cheered me up, after watching Europe's golfers fall further behind the Yanks in the Ryder Cup this pm. Sets everything up nicely for the first derby with County on Friday. I feel we'll go into that match with so much more confidence now, having our first win under our belt. Well done lads. Same again Friday please.
