  1. Billy McKay Indeed. Draper, Warren etc all came from below that level and have turned out pretty decent. However our shorter term signings and loans haven't been too hot sadly. Once again, although you seemed to have grasped the message, Draper and Warren were regulars and arguably too good in the Conference.
  2. Billy McKay Should of phrased it better An barely tried league 2 player = Rutherford An average striker from league 2 who had proven he could work hard = Mckay If we are going to take youngsters on loan from such a low quality league Yogi may aswell just leave and we can let Englands 4th tier laugh at how an untried player in their league i wanted by a 1st tier team in Scotland.
  3. League 2 is gash. No thanks
  4. I dont think everyones persistent hopes of Toby being in the team will ever become real to be honest

    John Hughes

    I blame the merger.
  6. Tbh i dont think the Arsenal link really exists anymore and it never really did, we got 1 releasee who was okay but never made it, and a loanee who was outright garbage
  7. I always liked Ikonomou as a player but he has just rejoined County along with Norwegian U21 keeper Eirek Holmen Johansen on loan from Man City
  8. Exactly Id like to see Atajic come here
  9. Want to retract anything you've said Dougal? Unnecessary feeding comment...
  10. Agree with Dougal, is.bringing in unknown players from England still the way?
  11. I was always a fan of Shane Sutherland to be a second choice striker but i was fully behind the idea to let him go, only of we brought in a better replacement and Curtis and Toby are both inferior to Shane IMO. As for the arsenal link, should we trust it? It didnt exactly help us, ok before anyone bites Roberts did 2 things well, but other than that I thought he was awful. IN Striker Midfielder (Holding or behind striker role) OUT Toby
  12. I think he has a new phone number!
  13. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/aberdeen/257293-fourteen-for-14-our-list-of-young-players-to-watch-out-for-in-2014/ This link shows the upcoming players who are expected to shine in 2014 Evans is mentioned and now with Just McKay and Toby (was Toby's contract extended?) I reckon Evans could get a crack especially if McKay leaves. I'd also like to see Christie and Ferguson get more of a crack

    Marvin Andrews

I just thought I'd let you all know, particularly the sour DC, that I am emigrating far away and will be giving this site a rest for a while
  15. Toby would be easier to release due to contract expiry but Im not sure Allen would agree to an early release, would he agree to be released by mutual consent due to not playing a game yet? Or would he just enjoy being a pro player and take the money and not play? Agreed however, need to get Christie and Ferguson more chances

    Marvin Andrews

Yeah he's picked that up but had a delayed flight back so he's here now to sign

When you say "here" were you typing that in Station park or in the Co-op in Forfar? I heard he's run out of Persil and can't use Daz. At least not the non-biological one. These are things we demand to know... Hughes Out! Sack the board! When I say "here" I mean Inverness I saw him at the rajah last night
  18. Rory boulding is still a free agent, not the best but has good SPL experience and is probably better than Toby,
  19. I heard CJT failed and he SPFL are keeping it the same
  20. I know we've got a new manager and all that but I think we would of heard by now if he was going to extend his contract, last year GBH was given a contract in August and it was supposed to be 6-month but he left in December, Toby was given one in July so I can see him leaving at the end of this month, he has made little more contribution than that of Oswell and Oswell was released early
  21. My Forfar supporting mate says that Marvin Andrews is on his way here
  22. I agree completely, I can't honestly believe he was the best we could of found, I would of taken Hartley, Shiels maybe Levein, Laszlo or anyone as bad ahead of Hughes, don't want to believe he is our manager so I'm off to a dark room, in a dark house and I won't be on here for a while :?
  23. I wonder what U20 players will be kept on, can you be 20 and not be considered an overager for the 20s? I think Cooper and Pepper have had their time and haven't made the jump to the first team well enough and many may say Pepper is capable but he isn't quite good enough to get another contract and we don't have space for someone who just isnt ever going to be a regular, Draper and Watkins are definites along with Tremarco. Vincent is a definite if he can regain fitness and get back into the team, back to u20s, I've always liked ferguson and thought that he had potential, and his Canada youth call up added to how I rated him, but I'm not sure what will happen to him, Cheyne I'm not convinced by, but I expect Shinnie to have bids flooding in for him, so he can't switch to RB when Raven is injured, I'm not a fan of Meeks or Devine at RB so I don't see why Cheyne can't get a chance. I'm undecided on Williams or Greenhalgh, I've always been impressed by Cameron Mackay, Evans and Gorman. Never really watched the rest of the 20s. Unsure whether Esson has a place here, Allens got to go though, if he's not gonna play, no point being here. IIRC most of the new signings had a optional 1 year extension
