Compliance Officer / Justice for Meekings
So the incident was outwith the jurisdiction of the CO. Seems a pretty elementary thing to check before going down this route. Looks like the SFA hoped we'd just suck it up and take their attempt to appease Celtic. Makes the position of the Current CO untenable in my opinion, as he clearly doesn't understand the scope of his powers or the protocols to which he needs to adhere.

Just listened to last night's Sportsound podcast and Lunny came across as a pretty bitter tw@t. And don't get me started on Richard Wilson!

Shame on you, Celtic!
Ironic thread title! There are plenty Inverness fans who have never had any affiliation for either of that pair. Your casual reference of supporting Celtic but have changed to ICT suggests too much time interchanging clubs on a PC game - rather than having to literally live out the reality of supporting a wee club like us versus the sickening institution that is Celtic. The religion, bigotry, self-righteousness, and many more unmentionables, make that club one of whom nobody can be proudly associated. There is simply a HUGE cultural divide! It is inconceivable to me that one day, you support Celtic, but the next, Caley Thistle! Ouch.....I have to disagree, in my opinion, those fans who once supported other clubs even Celtic and Rangers are just as valued and welcome as fans of ICT as those of us who once stood on the terraces of Kingsmills and Telford Street. In the days of highland league football, when having a team in the SFL, never mind the top flight, seemed a distant dream, it was not unusual to support a 'big' team. Even when we got into the league there weren't many conflicts of interest between ICT and the big team. For me, the cup tie at Tynecastle defined the true pecking order. Following from afar, the roar I let out when the second went in told me exactly where my loyalties lay.

Beware of Falkirk!
While we may think that we have an excellent opportunity to win some silverware, I am sure Falkirk will be thinking the same too. Our past difficulties with Falkirk, and the loss to Alloa in the challenge cup should act as reminders to keep our mind on the job and to stay focussed.

Compliance Officer / Justice for Meekings
So the officials did see it. It looks like we have a compliance officer who is unable to follow his own protocols. The raising of this notice of complaint looks like a sop to appease Celtic. That said, I am mightily relieved, and not a little surprised, to have Meekings available for the final.

We are not appealing. We are defending the charge.

Post split fixtures, who ? where? why?
This had occurred to me too. Maybe the U20s could have a wee day out?

This could get pretty messy for the authorities.

Compliance Officer / Justice for Meekings
I was thinking that was the case as well, but here is the response from one of the Terrace Podcast guys... "I think that comes under the 'didn't see it' aspect. I think it extends to interpreted wrong." "that's why Jason Talbot was cited for Nicholson (kicked in head) challenge. Ref booked him at the time, but didn't said he didn't realise severity" Then surely every games has to be re-refereed the following day to make sure the officials saw what actually happened.

If Muir thinks it hit Josh's face, then he can't claim he didn't see it. He may not have seen it correctly, but if he told the ref it hit Josh's head then surely the incident should be considered dealt with, and therefore outwith the compliance officer's jurisdiction.

Lets do what we didn't do at the LC final
Can we get ones with the middle finger extended instead of the index finger? Would be fun to test them out at Parkhead the week before.
