  1. Well that was a surreal 20 minutes - first Alan Savage announces that we are only days away from administration on the BBC news, then at the end of the news there is an announcement that we have been saved from administration. Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions. All good though. Well done and thank you, Mr Savage.
  2. There seems to be a bit about the situation coming up on the BBC Scottish News at 6.30pm tonight.
  3. It actually says we're "closing in" on the loan signing 🤔. I hope so because sometimes someone else steps in and gazumps us if our plans are posted in the P&J before the loose ends are tied up.
  4. I thought the new strips looked very striking on the pitch. The stripey bit looked a wee bit like a bib over the top of the main shirt and the red looked almost fluro pink from where I was sitting, but it looked good, none the less. So glad they arrived.
  5. When the North Stand was built, there was a section for families, where the general idea was that it would be free from any kind of anti-social behaviour such as swearing and shouting abuse. It wasn't the most exciting area to sit at, but it felt safe to bring our children to and they met up with and made new friends and generally enjoyed themselves. I think this area has gone by the wayside over the years (although I may be wrong) as children grew up, but maybe we should bring it back. I'm sorry that the day was ruined for you and your daughter LB, on what should have been a memorable event.
  6. I see where you are coming from, but personally I don't tend to look at the sponsor, more the club badge when looking at shirts on people in the street. If they proved to be very unpopular they could be donated to charity for use in countries where the logo is the least of their worries.
  7. Can't wait! C'mon Caley.
  8. If we have to take the large order of strips, then couldn't we find some clever strategies for shifting them. I don't know what the mark up is on a football top but if we were able to see regular offers on items such as Buy One Get One Half Price - say a home and an away top, giving away a free scarf with each top purchased, spend £50 quid and get £5 off, £100 quid and get a tenner off etc. If these offers were for one week only, or for first 50 customers, then people would have to commit that week if they wanted it and it would get people into the shop (where they might spend more money). A pop up shop (manned by ST volunteers perhaps) in town or up at big Tesco is another idea with Christmas coming. Wouldn't it be great to see people all over town with ICT shirts on like in 2015.
  9. It was the players' kit arriving - YAY. CC has just said so on the courier website🎉.
  10. Yep, on second thoughts you are probably right - it's like a Christmas present that we still have to open. Exciting times.
  11. Just been to the stadium to purchase our tickets, and I think it has been a busy day at the shop. A parcel delivery arrived while we were there - hope it's the team strips🤞. Let's have a real party atmosphere tomorrow 🎉✨🧨🎇🎆🎈🎊.
  12. IF the away kits haven't even been ordered, then personally I would prefer to stick with last years away kit if it would save any money. Of course, maybe it would lose more than it would gain in potential lost sales, but just a thought.
  13. Jack W, that is!
  14. Glad you are on line just now. I feel that you have been the perfect fan this season. You have continued to support the team from your lofty position on the bridge, while managing not to risk a penny going in Gardiner's direction. If my memory serves me correctly you used to be a wee bit volatile in your early posts, but you have matured into a supporter for ICT to be proud of, and I'm sorry I haven't made it on to the bridge to join you - I am purchasing my season ticket this week. Well done for your dedication to Caley Thistle
  15. Those who are not happy with the way the Supporters Trust relays information, should perhaps think about taking a more active role in the trust's work. Remember we are all part of the trust (if we are members). Personally I have been really glad to have their take on events over the last few months to help steer me through it all.
  16. Who knows, hopefully Alan Savage will succeed in saving our club, but even if too much damage has been done, at least we know that he will have done all he can do, for the right reasons and for our club and you can't ask for more than that. Thank you, Mr Savage.
  17. Fantastic news! I can't believe it. We will be home from our hols by the weekend. First stop is for season tickets. I've missed it. Who knows what the road ahead will be like, but it feels like it's our club again. So happy.
  18. What a dignified tweet from David Raven - honest and open. We could do with a bit more of that here. Lovely man.
  19. Thanks for letting me know. Poor lads.....we can only hope that it somehow spurs them on to great things.
  20. Were the team wearing this seasons strips today?
  21. On BBC tv there is a wee post match write up about each of the league 1 games showing on the screen, but no write up for ICT. The usual bungling at the club, the BBC canny be bothered to make the effort, or is the match reporter staying away until SG leaves the building?
  22. We won't be there, but Johndo will be in our thoughts. C'mon Caley
  23. Totally agree with this point. I think that the Supporters Trust are in a difficult position, as far as aiming to keep the door open to discussion with the board. I would imagine that being in the Trust is a fairly thankless task and that you will never please all of the people all of the time. I know I wouldn't want the hassle involved. So I am grateful to those who run the Supporters Trust and thank them for keeping me informed on events.
  24. Easy if you live in town and have access to a car. But I think the point was that this is no way to treat the fans who are your bread and butter.
