  1. Sounds like great crack!
  2. Stranger things have indeed been proposed in recent months!
  3. I was at the meeting at the Caley Club and I did state that I would prefer administration to the Kelty move. That is not the same as saying that I wanted administration, and I still stand by my point of view. I believe that the Kelty move was really only ever going to be a diversion from the poor management of the club and the financial difficulties that we are in, and would only have dragged out the inevitable downfall. It would have been absolute madness for our club to be financing Kelty Hearts while playing against them. ICT would be a laughing stock. This way we face what is coming with dignity while we hope for a last minute miracle solution. What is Russell Crowe doing with all his money? Would he fancy becoming a director at his 'local' club?
  4. The Supporters Trust have been amazing at keeping in touch with supporters over the last few weeks. Their updates and clarification on everything that is going on have been most welcome. Their updates testify that I'm not the only one who doesn't know what is happening - no one does either. The silence seems to speak volumes - more secrets to come I fear.
  5. Sorry Jack, I was typing my post when you must have posted yours - maybe there will be a bidding war over the film rights!
  6. Following the potential for the Fife Council intervention to throw a spanner in the kelty works, it could be time for a Local Hero type film remake - where the Highland Club takes on the nasty business man - that would be one way to make some money for the club ( and the Caley Club would become a must visit tourist location)..........but only when we win this fight. No Inverness Training- No Season Ticket Renewal
  7. The orange and red kit is like no other, but I find it strangely appealing. Not liking the design on the goalie shirt, but always a fan of a green grass colour strip , as it makes our goalie stand out less to any opponents who may have glimpsed them out of the corner of their eye.
  8. Nice, but not a fan of the V neck.
  9. It's funny because for someone who claims to be so happy, you sound bitter, twisted and rather an angry person to me.
  10. Me too, and this could just be the difference between us scoring one goal, or two or three. It makes me furious that players (especially 'big club' ones) get away with this.
  11. Glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed that moment - I'm not usually one to condone violence, and I was a bit worried that the ICT fan would end up getting arrested, but the steward dealt with it well in the end. I shook the man who shoved him's hand when he sat back down.
  12. Just up, but heading for the Football Special train shortly. It's all there to play for - can't wait. Go Caley Thistle - you are titanium, ballistic, cup upsetters. BUZZING
  13. Yay - I made the right purchase ....... the Bucket Hat is a sell out. Can't wait to wear mine tomorrow.
  14. Just watching the build up on the news, and seeing the cup it reminded me about when our boys managed to knock the wee manny off the top, somewhere in the celebrations - did that really happen or have I made it up? They can do it all again tomorrow when they bring the cup home to Inverness. Looking forward to a great day out. And a great after party. I know you will do us proud boys - get out there and enjoy your day.
  15. The P&J has given a lot of coverage about ICT in the final of late, including a 16 page pull-out today. Lots of singing and chants from the pupils at Dalneigh this week, and this years must have fashion item was spotted there too today - the bucket hat! No sign of the team there yet.
  16. I saw this too. We should register our disgust to the One Show for not even giving us a name check and maybe tomorrow night ICT could be the guests, or maybe one of our cup songs could be played.........ok I've woken up from that dream, but maybe they would at least confirm our existence.
  17. At £980 now . Well Done!
  18. I can't believe I said that - the excitement is definitely building now. Somewhere in my memory, I seem to remember a wee book of songs/chants being drawn up before the 2015 final. I decided to put pen to paper and wrote a few lines about this year's game set to the tune of The Everly Brothers 'Let it be me'. INVERNESIAN’S LAMENT Inverness Caley Jaggies, We’ll have to pack our baggies The late night Final calls us, Let it be THREE (then shout out PM) TV companies don’t rate us,. They think the viewers hate us, The SFA ignore us, Let it be THREE (PM). Don’t take this Heaven from us, The Cup is waiting for us, The English Cup’s gazumped us, Let it be THREE (PM). Inverness Caley Thistle, Will play 'til final whistle, Then we’ll take the Cup with us, Let it be THREE(PM). Apologies - I just couldn't resist
  19. Perfect! This type of attitude is just the thing to fire our boys up for a win. Go Caley Thistle.
  20. How true. And sadly this can transfer to all aspects of life. I see so many youngsters who do not see the point in sticking with anything when the going gets tough. However I do see lots of ICT strips on children in Dalneigh.
  21. Glad to see the train special. Lots of people have already made travel arrangements, but if you haven't I'm sure there will be a good party atmosphere on the train. Yes, it is expensive, but it probably isn't easy to reorganise where trains will be at any given time, and the fare is right to Mount Florida. Child fares are available too, which might make it an option for families. Thanks Scotrail.
  22. NOBODY puts Caley (Thistle) in the corner - except that they do. Can't say I'm surprised really.
  23. Well said - I will use your positivity and wise words to become more enthusiastic - maybe it is because it is still a while till the game that I am not quite in the zone yet.
  24. It seems that none of us are really looking forward to the cup final in the same way that we did in 2015, which is really sad, but somehow unavoidable. We seem to be arguing amongst ourselves and judging others without knowing their circumstances. I think it was great to see a good crowd at the Ayr game, but I appreciate that not everyone that was there could afford season tickets or regular attendance at games throughout the year. I don't see these fans as Glory Hunters, but as fans who have to pick the games they go to with care. I don't really see a way of increasing our fan base, without greatly reduced ticket prices in general and I know that a lot of parents where I live would love to take their kids to games regularly, but just cannot justify the expense. Many people are really struggling to get by at the moment and the costs are simply going to be too high to take themselves and their families down to the final, especially with the change of time. When this is the case I think they genuinely feel bad for not being there to support the team, but I hope they don't feel guilty for putting food and heat etc above a football game. Watch the game from Inverness and have a party day here with friends and family or at a venue showing the game. For those of us who are able to make it to the game (despite the hurdles in our way), let's have a good time and make sure that we make the most of our day out.
