  1. Have a look at the slide numbered 75 in this document for the Council Meeting on Thursday which is about the Council’s own Battery Storage plans: https://www.highland.gov.uk/download/meetings/id/83021/item_12_our_future_highland_council_delivery_plan_2024-2027_-_14_march_2024
  2. TBF we’ve been well warned about not parking on the verge. However, I wish the same attention was paid to parking on double yellow lines on the road at full time as cars park to pick people up. It is a hazard and causes chaos.
  3. Dan Mackay scored in a big game yet again today, but it wasn’t enough for Livingston to cause an upset against Celtic.
  4. At the Fans Meeting on 3 February, club Directors Scott Young advised that there were 1459 season tickets, and that a further 50 half season tickets had been sold. There’s a summary of the discussion in the thread for that meeting.
  5. Looking at the league table: Home: 9th with 12 points out of 42 in 14 games. Only Arbroath below us on goal difference but they’ve played one less home game. 11 goals scored, 4 less than anyone else. Away: 3rd with 19 points out of 42 in 14 games. Only Dundee United and Raith Rovers above us. 21 goals scored. It highlights exactly where our problem lies! Of our 11 home goals, we’ve scored 3 twice, but in our other 12 home league games we’ve scored 1 five times and 0 seven times. We’ve failed to score in half our home games! We’ve only scored in 1 home league match in 2014, drawing a blank four times! We should switch our last four home league games to our opponents grounds!
  6. Read my whole post: “I can’t see us getting there”. It just shows how tight the league is that, despite how we’ve struggled, 4th to 9th is only a 6 point gap.
  7. If (and it’s a big “if” given our home form) we beat Ayr, and the two leaders win, we will be 6th this time next week. It is hard to believe we are only six points off a promotion play off place. I can’t see us getting there, but the way this season has gone anything could be possible!
  8. Graeme Shinnie for Aberdeen, Cillian Sheridan for Queens Park and Nathan Austin who got two for East Fife. In the Highland League, Calum MacLeod scored for Clach and Aaron Nicolson and Harry Hennem for Nairn.
  9. I assume Ferguson doesn’t rate him, or Brooks for that matter. I was surprised Doran didn’t come on for the last 20 minutes or so. His composure and ability to keep the ball may have made a difference.
  10. I agree with the comments above from those at the game. We should have won that quite comfortably, but a combination of our continuing reluctance to shoot, poor attempts and bad luck saw us draw a blank. Kerr was the pick, but the defence was solid and we were largely on top in midfield. The jury is out for me on Lawal. He had some nice touches but was dispossessed too easily on occasions. Game time should help him. I don’t think it changed the outcome, but that was one of the weakest refereeing performances I have seen in a long time. How many times was Samuel, in particular, being held, pushed or fouled and nothing was given. 5 unbeaten, 3 clean sheets in a row but we are still stuck in 9th. Another really big game next week when Ayr come here. A win gets us up the table. A defeat does not bear thinking about.
  11. It’s as though there’s not a game today: we must all be distracted by something! We beat them at home earlier in the season and need to beat them again today. With McAllister now out, it’s hard to say what our starting 11 will be. Unchanged other than Doran or Lawal in for McAllister?

  13. The club’s suggested wording is a template, so there’s nothing to stop anyone who wishes to make representations to Councillors amending the wording as they see fit, whilst retaining the salient points.

  15. I’m no expert on this, but surely if the club ceases to exist the ICT Community Trust ceases to exist in its current form, as it is linked to a club and therefore loses the funding that comes to Trusts linked to SPFL clubs. Therefore, if my understanding is right, the future of Community Trust projects is intrinsically linked to the future of the club.
  16. I wasn’t there tonight as I’m away for a few days and couldn’t change plans at short notice but, based on the comments from the club Chairman at the last Supporters Trust Meeting, they have plans to use the income to secure future income streams. The main example given was sorting the North Car Park, which will then be used by the workers during the construction of the Red John hydro facility, along with improvements to the Sports Bar.
  17. Toddy for Airdrie tonight.
  18. That’s how it finished.
  19. Airdrie currently 2-0 up at Dunfermline.
  20. What suits us best Dunfermline v Airdrie tomorrow? A draw?
  21. I wonder if any media will be in attendance? They were represented at the most recent Fans’ Meeting.
  22. I’m away on Wednesday so won’t be able to attend. Had there been more notice of the meeting, I’d have been able to rearrange commitments to attend. I hope some sensible, searching questions are asked (and answered) relating to the club’s financial position, the delaying of the accounts, what actions will be taken if planning is rejected, what the future looks like etc etc. The club has rightly been criticised for poor communication with fans, so I hope this is a genuine desire to be open and honest, not just in the presentation but in answering questions, even difficult questions that they may not like. There have been positive signs from the Chairman and Scott Young attending the Fans’ Meetings organised by the Supporters Trust, and I hope this meeting is a sign that the club (belatedly) recognises the need for positive fan engagement. I look forward to seeing what feedback is provided by those who do attend.
  23. Noted yesterday we’re Marley Watkins and Robbie Deas for Kilmarnock, Andrew Shinnie for Livingston, Jake Davidson for Hamilton, Nathan Austin for East Fife and Alex Fisher for Yeovil. Ross Tokely was sent off for Nairn for what a Nairn fan has described as GBH.
  24. I’d a sneaky suspicion we’d win (look at my prediction on Gringo’s NPL) and delighted we did. Great for Mckay after his treatment on Tuesday. The injuries are an added worry though. Now two home games…. Time to start winning at home!
