EGM called on 3rd October
Thanks. Hopefully more to come to give stability for now but, as others have said, we need a robust plan to avoid this recurring.

Alloa in Chocolate Cup
Will be interesting to see the starting line up. Robbo hinting Brad Mckay will start along with McHattie, Trafford and Curry but possibly not many youngsters. I assume Mackay will be in goal. After the Morton cup game, Harper deserves another start in my opinion. We have a good chance in this competition and momentum is important so, whilst I respect that some on here don’t have a lot of time for this cup, I’m hoping for a strong performance and another win. This line up will probably be a mile off, but: Mackay Rooney Mckay McHattie Harper Trafford Carson Storey MacGregor Curry Todorov Any word on Tom Walsh?

Sean Welsh
I see the post on the club website confirming Sean will be out for 3 or 4 months. Hopefully his recovery goes well and he comes back early in the new year. We will miss his input in midfield as we always seem more secure when he plays. Time for Trafford or Carson to impose themselves and show what they can do.

Do we know who the investor is? Alan Savage?

Ayr United -V- Inverness CT
Personally I welcome a detailed report of games I’ve not been at, and it is interesting to hear how others’ views of home games compare to mine. Getting back on topic, that is so tough for Sean. Hopefully it is not as bad as feared. I always think we are stronger with him in our team. It will be interesting to see if Trafford gets a run and whether he can sustain the performance it sounds like he had on Saturday and, partly tongue in cheek, his ratio of bookings per game. Equally, Carson has split opinion on here, but I have been impressed by his application and desire to take the ball down and play it.

And we have Alloa next, twice...

AYR v ICT Preview
Alloa have beaten Dundee United. We can really close things up again at the top if we can win tomorrow. We had the beating of Ayr last season. Hopefully we can continue that this season.

The Legend Retires from football
I agree. That penalty was immense. With the sending off, there was such a long delay before he could take it. I really hope he finds success in whatever he does in the future.

EGM called on 3rd October
Small bit on STV news. Chairman said it was a good meeting and more optimistic and a lot of people offering help. No new funding announced yet though. Be interesting to hear from anyone who attended.

ICT - Partick Thistle (H), Sat 28th Sept
Disappointing afternoon. We struggled to hold possession and a lot of simple passes were misplaced. First half probably quite even. White took his goal well and great cross by MacGregor. McCart was not at his normal level at all today, and that was highlighted when he gave possession away cheaply for the second. We huffed and puffed but didn’t really look like getting an equaliser and their third killed it. After recent wins, hopefully this will serve as a reminder that we need to be on our game every week as we will not be play off challengers if we play many more games like this. I’d forgotten how bad Partick were for time wasting, but that didn’t feature in the outcome. We simply gave it away today. With Ayr on form, next Saturday will be a challenge. Hopefully we can bounce back with a better performance and good result. Of the players, hard to pick out positives. MacGregor was our pick in my opinion.

Fort William - first league win in 882 days
Thanks Jack, I knew there had been earlier cup games but did not realise they were the Preliminary Round.

Loanees - How are they developing?
Good to see them get a win in the cup today. Tam Cowan said they were his team of the day and asked when they last scored 5 goals in a game. They did in the NoS cup a few weeks ago: hope someone phoned in to tell him.

Today was the second round I think.

Inverness CT -V- QOS
Deserved win, should have been more convincing, but equally we could have let them back in it during a poor spell midway through the second half. Fortunately their clearest chance was headed straight to Ridgers. It is great to be on a good home run, with 6 wins in 6, and there is confidence through the team. Four clean sheets on the spin in the League too There is much less long ball play this season, with a lot of the goal kicks being played short to Donaldson, McCart, Welsh or Vincent. We are a much better team when Welsh plays. The first was a great strike from Welsh, and the second an equally good strike from Walsh after powerful wide play by Rooney. Welsh then had a great free kick saved in the postage stamp corner. Second half was poorer, but White just couldn’t control a rebound after a great shot from Walsh (?), Storey had a great chance when he cut in from the right but got no power behind his shot and McCart hit the post. Ridgers had a comfortable afternoon with really just one save. Rooney is a much improved player this season. Tremarco did all that was asked of him and was unlucky not to control the ball properly when set up nicely in attack early on. Donaldson and McCart did well too. Welsh was immense and Vincent did well alongside him. The sponsors made him man of the match. Doran and Walsh were busy and they and Storey interchanged a lot to mix things up. White had a not bad game, despite the miss, and got the full 90, given Todorov replaced Storey this week. Carson did fine when Welsh got a deserved breather late on. Sadly there were only 1760 there to see it. Very poor! Partick next week will probably be against a team with a new Manager. Hopefully we can keep our run going, but no room for complacency.
