  1. I really hope your bet is a winner!!
  2. It has taken a twist, as St Boswells not fulfilling tomorrow's game. If I understood the BBC radio report (not by you Charles) correctly, they will be asked if they can fulfil it before the season ends. That seems unlikely as they have apparently failed to fulfil other recent games. The outcome will either be that the game is awarded to Highland, who then win the league. Or St Boswells are kicked out of the league and all their games are removed from the records. I believe that will also mean Highland win the league. The Manager was extremely cheesed off in his interview about not being able to win the game and league on the pitch tomorrow,
  3. And nice to hear his account of his cup winning goal!
  4. I did say win or draw... a draw is 2 points.
  5. Well done guys coming back after Saturday's late equaliser. Just a pity Dumbarton are unlikely to do us a good turn. Two months ago who would have predicted an 11 game unbeaten run, cup win and 24 points out of 30 in the league. Just a great shame our slow start and the bad run with the sendings off have done for us, we should have been comfortably in the play offs. At least there is hope for next season. Hopefully we hit form before March next time.... I will definitely be renewing my season ticket.
  6. Surprised Austin not starting. Still carrying a knock so only on bench?
  7. Another win, so will either finish first or second. One point off the top with one game to play, with the current leaders having completed all their games. So a win or draw against St Boswelks next week will see Highland win the league.
  8. I agree. Pity about our slow start to the season, but the last 10 games show what we could have achieved! That late goal gutted me!
  9. Just looking at the last five games, we've taken 15 points and they have taken 13, so the two form teams,
  10. Well done guys! A big game on Saturday now and if we get a result, we need to beat two teams away that we have not beaten yet! A tall order, but at least we have hope for the future. When did we last win 5 league games on the spin? 20 points out of 24, shows how poorly our start cost us!!
  11. You spotted my typo before I could correct it. Lol.... Blxxdy iPhone spellchecker!!
  12. Tremarco on for Doran.
  13. Same on BBC, 14 attempts, 6 on target and 58% of possession to date. We can't be complacent though.
  14. Yes! Our dream lives on!!
  15. I've just caught up with this after a few days off line. We need to support Polly. He has great vision and energy, and can pick out great moves and passes. Of course, some don't come off, but that's not always down to him, and those that do are evidenced in his assist stats. I suspect we will lose him in the summer, but I really hope he stays and aids our promotion push next year. I think the same about Vigurs. Yes, some of his touches scare me as they could go wrong, and he needs to get a grip of his temperament, but he is a quality player who we could do with keeping.
  16. My wife worked with his wife when he was at Hearts (we can forgive him for that!). We all lived in Dalgety Bay at the time. A great guy, and I really hope his future is successful.
  17. Surprised Carlo not back in, but Calder does deserve a p,ace. I was in Glasgow due to work yesterday and was going to the game. Now BBC text commentary for me. Dont under rate them, this could be a grind of a game, especially if the pitch is heavy.
  18. I agree. Reported on here a few days ago that we are without Vigurs for the Dunfermline and Livingston games due to suspension.
  19. Another win and now second. Two wins in their last two games and they win the league.
  20. Am I glad I got that wrong and Austin played!'
  21. Just home after being out on the town after the game. A great performance and result. I agree, Vigurs was immense, Austin took his goals well, Doran scored a great one and set one up, Polworth gets so much undeserved stick, the defence was solid, and Oakley put in an incredible shift. Clearly the substitution of Austin should have been Oakley judging by the bench, but it did not change anything. A very satisfying afternoon (and evening) and we can look forward with optimism. Tuesday will be interesting. Dumbarton need to win so should chase the game, so that should suit us. We will have Tremarco, Donaldson and Trafford available. I would start the first two, but Calder deserves a run, so an interesting decision for Robbo. Good to see Elbouzedi getting some game time, and he looks promising too Lets keep the run going guys!
  22. Looking forward to tomorrow, which should be milder and dry, unlike Tuesday! With the suspensions to Tremarco, Donaldson and Tremarco, I would go with: Ridgers Seedorf Mckay Warren Calder Polworth Vigurs Chalmers Mulraney Oakley Doran Tine will tell!!
  23. But thankfully he was very decent when he came off the bench and won us three points tonight!
  24. That was a tough slog in difficult conditions. Both teams struggled to keep the ball, and for most of the game our tactic was a long ball forward which rarely troubled. How we didn't score first half when we hit the bar after an effort was cleared off the line, I don't know, but equally we cleared a couple off the line and Ridgers had a great late save. It looked destined for a 0-0 until Doran and Mulraney came on, and fortunately it was "positive Jake" who turned up and changed the game. It would be easy to be hard on the players, but they got the job done in horrible conditions. I just hope it stops raining long before Saturday!
  25. Very comfortable win judging by the highlights, with some decent play and some great vision from Polworth.
