  1. Whilst getting league wins has to be our priority, a win today gives us a chance of a good payday in the next round. Maintaining momentum is also important. Let’s make this the start of another ICT cup journey.

I’m paraphrasing but the Administrator did warn us in the initial Press Conference not to expect regular updates as they would be focussed on doing their job to find the best way forward for the club.
  3. The team travelled south on Friday. Last season games were postponed due to weather warnings but that did not happen this weekend. To me, that smacks of a change of approach by the SPFL. One game was postponed on Friday. All the other postponements were on Saturday, and came when travel was taking place to the games. Where travel would be through the amber area, in my opinion those games should have been postponed on Friday. As I say, it happened last season. Whilst I’m delighted Annan lost, did the extended travel time and a two hour delay to the kick off impact their performance?
  4. Jay Henderson for Ayr today.
  5. Montrose won 2-1. Leaves us still 10 points off Annan but with a game in hand.
  6. Montrose 1-1 Annan at half time.
  7. That’s a disgrace with the distance involved. Everyone knew there was weather expected and last season games were called off for travel reasons. The team are there as they traveled last night.

The Met Office have now issued an amber warning for Dumfries and Galloway from 0700 to 1200 tomorrow.

Assuming you are travelling back after the game, there is a bus that leaves Whitesands in Dumfries at 1745 and gets to Glasgow at 1955, Stagecoach Service X74. With the snow due to turn to rain, hopefully it will not be affected by weather disruption.

With the length of the journey, the team may well have travelled down today. The amber warning applies to part of the A9 (and doesn’t come this far north so hopefully we miss it) and Dumfries is looking to be wet tomorrow on my weather app and it’s been above freezing today. With it being a plastic pitch it may well be playable. We have some momentum just now so I hope the team is already on route and the game is on.
  11. Charlie Gilmour deservedly named in the SPFL Team of the Week.
  12. I must admit I was thinking of their fans rather than the circumstances that appear to have led to this.
  13. You don’t like to see it happen to any team but, if true, it makes our task a bit easier.
  14. It’s worth remembering that the previous regime didn’t want the bar at all and it had lacked care and investment for many years. At one of the Fans Meetings, Ross Morrison told fans he was looking to rent it out to a medical company. The Supporters Trust saw it had potential and funded the improvements (that were carried out by volunteers), rebranded it, secured Dog Falls as a partner, extended the opening hours, and got volunteers to staff the bar. It is now very much a partnership between the Trust and the club: the Trust runs it, the club profits from it. It is great it is now somewhere fans wish to use, and that Scott Kellacher and the players are joining fans there after games.
  15. Today, Jay Henderson and George Oakley for Ayr, Logan Chalmers for Partick, Brad Mckay for Brechin and Shane Sutherland for Brora. Zak Delaney scored an own goal for Raith.
  16. A well deserved win. I thought we were excellent in the first half, but was worried when Alloa had a spell early in the second when we were taking risks and getting lucky at the back. We got back on top and Gilmour took his goal well, and you could see how much it meant to all the players. We then closed the game out, despite the best efforts of the referee. Mckay was very unlucky not to be on the score sheet and we hit the post. Longstaff is a player transformed now we are playing him wide again, and was outstanding when playing on the left. Gilmour and Thompson were very good too, and credit Dibaga for the clean sheet and running the clock down. We seem more streetwise under Kellacher too. A very satisfactory afternoon (despite the referee).
  17. Last night in the Challenge Cup, Jay Henderson for Ayr (who lost to non league East Kilbride who are now in the semi finals), Reece McAlear for Livingston and Austin Samuels for Morton.
  18. I’d assume it was Cove that filmed it.
  19. Andrew MacRae has joined Clach, in a swap deal with Conor Bunce going to Brora in exchange.
  20. For me it’s 50% as we should discount the Dumbarton game given what he and the players had been through in the days leading up to it.
  21. Rory McAllister for Peterhead today.
  22. That’s potentially a season defining win. After losing an early goal, to save a penalty and score two goals to turn it round and get our first away win is just what the players needed. By all accounts it was a well deserved result and, after the players hearing the support they have from fans in Bar 94 after last week’s game, confidence must be high. We’ve made up 4 points in Dumbarton over the last 2 games. There is still a long way to go, but things are looking up. Now we need a good crowd next week to help the team overcome Alloa and get us back to back league wins for the first time this season.
  23. George Oakley for Ayr tonight.
  24. Tonight, Iain Vigurs for Banks O’Dee and two for Garry Wood for Deveronvale. Last night, Tobi Sho-Silva for Maidenhead.
  25. Wallace Duffy has joined Strathspey Thistle.
