  1. Probably too easy for many in this thread, but what and where?
  2. Pretty passionate stuff here for arriving tourists:

Harper rightly named in the SPFL Team of the Week.
  4. A bonus one. Purely by chance, this was loading at Sconser when we were passing: Loch Tarbert with a fully loaded deck around 1040:
  5. And our vessel back from Lochmaddy to Uig, moored at Uig as pierworks prevented a decent opportunity to get it aT Lochmaddy: MV Hebrides:

The highlights made it look like a pretty good, even game. It is telling Dundee players did not protest at the penalty, whilst we clearly thought their second was offside. We need to tighten up a bit at the back but we looked good going forward. Two great finishes by Harper, and hopefully a lot more like that to come from him. A word too for Oakley. His hold up play as we countered was instrumental in letting us get the third goal.

Written through Dundee-tinted glasses! https://dundeefc.co.uk/match/inverness-ct/ Written through Inverness-tinted glasses: https://ictfc.com/match-report-dundee-2-3-ictfc-17-09-2022 But what was Billy Mckay doing on the goal line? Thankfully he stopped a goal. Anyway, job done and a welcome three points.
  8. Dodged a couple of downpours today but it has been remarkably good all week. Head back to Inverness via Lochmaddy - Uig on Monday. I was in Lewis briefly countless years ago but this is the first time I’ve done the islands properly and I’d recommend it. My wife hates sailing but has loved it too.
  9. Similarly, first time on South Uist, with the Lord of the Isles about to leave Lochboisdale for Mallaig:
  10. My first visit to Eriskay, but time precluded us getting to Barra on MV Loch Allain which set off with only half a dozen vehicles on board:

Dodds seems to prefer Harper in a further forward role and it seems to be working, with him adding goals to his game. Despite playing most of his game time at left back, he is our joint top scorer with Billy Mckay, both on 4 and 2 assists each. Our recent results have been encouraging, but it will be interesting to see what our starting line up will be when we have a full squad. I see Duffy was missing today, which is probably why Harper was playing alongside Allardice, whilst Welsh, MacGregor, Walsh and Sutherland are all to return at some point. I’m a lot happier than three weeks ago but we need to maintain consistency and build on our last two results.
  12. Lewis Jamieson for Airdrie, Ali Riddle for Clach and Anthony MacDonald for Brechin are those I’ve spotted today.
  13. Anthony MacDonald is now at Brechin. We will have two old faces returning next week given Kevin McHattie is there too.

Great result, well done to the team for 6 points out of 6 on the road. Our next league game is away to Ayr so more of the same will do nicely. I assume Carson was right back and Harper in midfield but look forward to those there advising us and telling us how we did. Samuels going off away is a worry, but good to see Doran and Ram in the squad today.
  15. Really surprised to find at least four 22-reg Mercedes Tourismo coaches doing Benbecula school services. The contracts must have good rates to fund that sort of investment:

  17. Meanwhile the Loch Portain’s aft ramp has failed causing vehicles to have to reverse on at Leverburgh. Some priceless efforts but fortunately no bumps. The trucks were left to last: It is the first time I’ve done that route but I could see how some trips get cancelled at low tide given the complex route the ferry needs to take. We were on the 1445 from Leverburgh (delayed by 80 minutes due to the aft ramp issue), the sailing that has been suspended for the last few days due to the tidal conditions.
  18. Today’s visitor to Stornoway:
  19. It’s a decaying Paxton body, most likely on a Bedford chassis. Sadly this was closed at Leverburgh Pier today, possibly a Toyota:
  20. The kick off time is now 1400 at the request of Brechin.
