Strengthen during transfer window?
Sometimes it's better to wait for the free agents as due to desperation to get employment wage demands may not be so high and the prospect of travelling to the bitter North may not be so daunting At least I hope thats Hughes angle.

Joe Gorman
I'll go if someone meets me before the game. I have a broken foot so am hobbling about like a muppet so wouldn't mind the company.

Ryan Stevenson availability for semi.
Yep, Paul McCallum in to replace King, and the bid to get in Skacel to replace Combe, who has had his registration ended has been rejected according to the Beeb.

New YouTube Series - Away Days
People got stick for voicing support of Hartley over Hughes?

Shinnie's best position?
I wouldn't say Tremarco is the most attacking but that's a good thing. It can be a little gung ho to have two attacking full backs. Raven gets forward well, so having Tremarco back more offers cover against counter attacks. Shinnie can be further forward doing the damage that Tremarco isn't then required to do.

Ryan Stevenson availability for semi.
I was initially, very briefly, a little miffed that Hearts had managed to engineer this but I now really could care less. Playing St Mirren before it gives them less time to prepare anyway. Hearts aren't exactly on fire with Stevenson, and I would have expected him to play before I heard about the suspension. If we can beat Hearts at their strongest it'll mean we can't be accused of not being there on merit. I'd rather concentrate on ICT and making sure our team are ready and fit and raring to go to be honest.

Aberdeen V Inverness C.T.
Going by the highlights I thought Nick Ross did quite well. Including a brilliant driving run through the middle. Seems Aberdeen only had 1 or 2 half chances and we could, and perhaps should, have won by a few. I'll happily take the 3 points though.

Shinnie's best position?
I'm agreeing with that. Tremarco and Raven are both rock solid full backs as well as having a good competitive grafting edge to their game (if that makes sense) Shinnie can then be utilised a little further up. He's great at running at folk and always looks a danger cutting in on his left foot.

Ryan Stevenson availability for semi.
Makes me more nervous rather than glad. Initially it sounds like good news, just dont wanna be complacent.

First Team Players, Who Never Played
I think you are right there, but CTO's stats section says that he made 1 appearance off the bench - supposedly coming on during a Challenge Cup win at Peterhead in 2003, to replace....David Bingham! Shome mishtake shurely. Conceivable, that the original goalie was sent off and Bingham was the man sacrificed. Or is this meriting a winky smiley and I'm caught between not not knowing?

Poll : Billy Mckay's price tag
Did we not turn down a £300k plus bid in the summer?

Who will Butcher try to get from ICT in Jan
As for his Mr Motivator rant, maybe he feels that having started well under his leadership some of the players have become a little complacent and need reminding that they are playing for their future.

Who will Butcher try to get from ICT in Jan
Sunderland are still a bigger club than Hibs.

Impending Selection Head Ache
I'm quite sure Hughes will welcome that selection head ache and it will also make the players work all the harder to stay in the team which can only be a good thing. Play well or get dropped.

Shinnie's best position?
Some say that about Lionel Messi. I don't see it as a problem if that one foot is good enough. I reckon he'd make a sound orthadox left winger in our usual attacking midfield 3. The bonus being he can track back when required and switch sides if going for inverted wingers. Though I'd like to see Williams in that position also.

Another ex player help
Yeah Guy Kerr plays for Newtongrange "Star" now. It's just that a mate of mine was in a restaurant and chatting to him and Guy Kerr, the waiter, stated that he'd played "over 30 games" for us but his leg was all, erm, done in.. A was a wee bit sceptical about that. I recalled a young defender coming through the ranks (Correctly identified as Jamie Duff - soon as the name was mentioned it clicked in my head) played quite a few games before damaging his knee and eventually being released. Lyin' wee shi...

Another ex player help
Ok so I'm terrible with names. Who was the young central defender who came through the ranks in the year before relegation. Looked the part but sadly got a really bad knee injury and while was kept on a bit, was eventually released? be in his mid 20s now I think. Was it Guy Kerr or is that another player?

Inverness C.T. -V- Dundee Utd
*Said on another thread and expanded here* Just seen the penalty and whilst it isn't very accurate in terms of height or direction it is well struck. If the keeper goes the other way it would be a "confidently struck penalty" And it was also his excellent through ball which won the penalty in the 1st place. Right through the legs of the defender, perfectly weighted into Shinnies path.

Penalty-kick taker?
Actually just seen the highlights, and while the penalty lacked accuracy. Was a good height for keeper and too central. It was well enough struck. Keeper goes the other way and it's call a confidently struck penalty by Ross.

The "Did I Dream It?" Thread
I only ever remember Liam Keogh scoring 1 goal. It was a rather sweet one if I remember correctly. (V Clyde at Broadwood) I've always wondered why they went with I-Cat. I know it was a competition win but it's a bit of a complete non connection with the club. Unless you're going to make some weak connection with a Scottish wild cat...nah Nessie is a no brainer, but given we have an big bloody eagle on our crest and the Cairngorm ski resort is only half hour or so down the road, Eddie the Eagle to me is a complete stand out.

John Hughes
The lad might not be a great manager but he's great banter.

I'd like to see that SP. Get Doran behind the main striker and Shinnie in a left wing free role interchanging with him, just like Bale without the constant diving. When fit Draper and Foran in the middle of the park. Sorted. I do think Ross has the pace and passing ability to be a effective winger.
