  1. Rule is they are banned for the game immediately after, no competition specifics (ie Hibs) and the next competition relevant game (Scottish Cup)
  2. Naaaa can't recall it to be honest, but I see him more playing as a midfield anchor than a out and out midfielder. Sitting in front of the defence.
  3. Its certainly true that many of these sayings have little basis on factual evidence, but surely a lot would be to do with managers, for many years now, drilling players to keep focus immediately after scoring themselves, thus reducing the chances of it happening.
  4. Actually is Draper out of this game? If not, get him in there.
  5. I was expecting to cringe, but fair play, it's not bad. Cheesy, like the Darkness, but good cheesy.
  6. MMMmmmmm, -Brill- - Raven - Meekings - Warren - Shinnie - - Devine - - Vincent - Foran - - Doran - - Ross - - Mckay - Use Devine as a midfield anchor. Just to give the team a more solid outlook against the counter attack. Lads are bound to feel a little low on confidence at the back after two heavy defeats and he can play there. After getting some much needed match fitness in the middle he should be able to slot in at the back on Sunday. With Watkins out I was left with choice of Williams or Ross for the left side. (I felt Greenhalgh hasn't really featured enough to tell me he is the answer. Other options are Christie or Polworth). Alternative is play Shinnie there and Tremarco at LB. This allows for Tremarco to give good stability on the flank. With Devine in the team it should give Foran and Vincent (or Ross if Shinnie at LW), as well as Shinnie license to join in attack without getting caught out.
  7. I think the reason that so many Aberdeen fans are attedning is nothing to do with glory hunting fair weather fans. Or fans starved of success for so long. I think deep down they feel really guilty about taking that money of us for ground sharing in our 1st ever SPL season and as a result see giving the game a bumper crowd as a sure fire way of returning the favour/money as they knew themselves none of that money was spent on the pitch for 1 thing. Thanks to all you lovely Aberdeen fans.
  8. I think a lot might be to do with the team getting a little panicky and trying to enforce an equiliser straight away. They go a little gung ho and get caught out at the back. Manager needs to get the players in the mentality that if its an early goal there is plenty time to play so just play the natural game. Of course trying to hit back immediately is no bad thing as the old adage says you're at your most vurneable right after you've scored.
  9. People seem to forget that prior to the Celtic game we'd went 6 games unbeaten (albeit one cup replay) had 4 clean sheets on the bounce, had lost 1 in 9, with 5 wins and 3 draws. The Celtic game was no shame. Its happened to many a team at Celtic Park this season and it will probably happen again. Hitting the panic button a little early folks. But we really need to put in a proper shift against Hibs. Another performance like today will really not do. I'd happily take a 0-0 bore draw after that.
  10. That was absolutely horrific watching. There are no excuses for such an abject and ill disciplined (both in technical and spirit) performance. Our defence was caught ball watching too often. People complain about Tanseys red, sorry but it you make a blatant stamping motion directly in front of the ref your giving him an excuse to send you off. He might have tried to pull out of it but the motion was still there. See that once as a ref and and you have to send the player off. The penalty, soft, but again the right call. Had it been at the other end I'd be screaming for it. He's clumsily went into the back of his man and he's went over. Watkins red merited no more than a yellow. As Michael Stewart pointed out post match it is nearly impossible to go into a sliding challenge without some studs showing, and he's won the ball which has hit Paton who's made a meal of it. But it really doesn't matter, The game was long gone by then and there was no way back such was the mediocrity on show. What galls me the most is Dundee Utd didn't even need to work for that at all. Utter calamity handed them a early 3-0 lead. It was embarrassing. The only saving grace is during the game I'd happily take a spanking if we win the final next Sunday.
  11. So by the looks of it being in area 114 I'll be right behind the goals.... not bad.
  12. A few south american and Mexican teas have had this epic sponsor. We just need a few pretty blondes to model it...
  13. Anyone with good contact links with the club perhaps dedicate the cup final to Elena! Maybe do a whip round for cancer research at half time?
  14. There's another thread open with a pub landlord plugging his bar exclusively to ICT fans for the day. The Paradise bar. Never been in cos it's a Celtic bar near the ground. Thoughts?
  15. . Walking into Celtic Park at 2.25 next Saturday will almost certainly be my best experience as an ICT supporter to date; if Richie Foran lifts the cup at the end of it, it definitely will be the greatest. Touch enthusiastic, maybe wait till the Sunday to turn up? Good to see that we've near sold out our initial allocation. Hopefully we'll hit it and get another few thousand sold to the last minute chancers. I also imagine this figure would have been from close of business yesterday so we might have sold through now. Friday could be pay day after all. Still eagerly waiting on my tickets in the post. In fairness I only bought them on Wednesday night ha ha!
  16. Can't believe this is even an issue. It's our first ever national cup final for GODS sake!
  17. There's such a lot of mysteries surrounding nessies home! But if you've got a secret thistle whistle you might find a nessie of your own.... MacToot blows on his bagpipes... While Elspeth and Angus watch those notes, Go floating across the waves! (chorus) You can knock it, You can rock it, You can go to Timbuktu (Ochilview), But you'll never find a Nessie in the zoo. You may see an Anaconda (Christophe Berra), Or Giraffe and Kangaroo, (laugh at Dany Buijs) But you'll never see a Nessie in the zoo! Repeat chorus.
  18. The family ness song. I don't know why I can't get more support for this.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27oxkSYFFbg A classic ditty, ignoring the verse. Instead take the 1st 17 seconds of this...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFR0brxrxjI I tell you...
  19. He was shhhhhhhhhhhh.......................................................ocking.
  20. I'll be going through from Edinburgh to Glasgow with ma mate, though haven't made any plans of how we're doing it. Probably the train. Maybe the bus due to it being far cheaper. Then a train from central to Dalmarnock and Bridgeton, stadium is a 5 minute walk. Alternatively Queen Street to Bellgrove and a 20 minute walk through the East of Glasgow. Fun times!
  21. I'd rather they stay up, for the sake of having a local rival. When I say rival I mean whipping boy obviously But we do tend to get a better gate receipt with them about. Perhaps the teams should work together for sponsorship. Sponsor the derby perhaps? Be an interesting concept. But if they truly must go down, then let it be next season so we can offset gate receipts with the possible return or Rangers, and even Hearts who also have a decent away support.
  22. Is this good or bad. I really don't pay attention to Scottish refs because I think they are ALL terrible.
  23. Well Jordan Rhodes can't get near the squad for love nor money despite playing at a vastly higher level than Leigh Griffiths. Yes the wee ned was handed a hat-trick on a plate at the weekend but scoring at SPFL level is no where near as hard as the Championship.
  24. I'm buying 2 tickets tomorrow. Not having to worry too much about trains or buses due to the luck of living in Edinburgh.
  25. He's that player who is confident enough in his own ability to always want to play the killer pass. A cocky arrogant streak. Was a little debilitating 1st time round perhaps but now he's a more mature player. More astute and technically better also.
