Investment Needed NOW
What happens midnight on Monday? Is that because the transfer window closes?

It is kind of a mixed bag. He might do better if he knew what players he was going to keep beyond the summer at the club and if he would still be here himself. Players might find it easier to know they have their immediate future sorted.

Defender on trial
I dont nessesarily think a money making business person would no. However my point was that the club haven't been all that upfront about wanting some if they do indeed need it. And that if someone did offer the money, I get the impression the board wouldn't give him a say in how his investment was used and he would retract his offer. As I say its just an impression I get.

Bulvitis away?
I always get a sense of Deja Vu when i read something like that. Hmmm let me think.... wait....... it's coming. Yep, No, sorry lost it. You seem to forget how open our board are to fan communication so that can't be it :D

Well he took us down after managing to get us 5 clear with 2 games left and has fail to sustain a strong title challenge in the 1st half of this season, however our form has improved in the last 6-7 weeks and he has signed several promising young players whilst working on a very tight budget. So in terms of overall results, could have done a touch better but he's an improvement on Brewster and has done well in parts.

Defender on trial
I remember a couple of years ago when we made the club a private company to allow investment without having to sell a share of the Club (I think this was the reason - my knowledge on shares and business is vague to put it nicely) Now we did that to encourage fresh investment... but then it seems forgot to do the advertising. Of course that takes initiative and they had just used up all their yearly allowance of that it seems. Then Allan Savage came along and did invest money, however there seemed to be disagreement on how to run the club and he was moved out. I dont know but it always seems to me that the board say "come and invest in our club, but dont expect a say on what to do with your dosh" I've always got that feeling. Imagine going on dragons den and trying to secure an investment and not saying what you would do with the money. - Im out!

Milan Derby
I dont think you can really compare Pirlo and Cambiasso. The 1st is a playmaker who sits deep and pulls the strings, as well as delivering superb deliveries from dead ball situations. Cambiasso is more like Gattuso if your going to compare him with any Milan player only he gets forward more and has a better passing range, whereas Gattuso is better in the tackle and is powered by a duracell battery. He just keeps going. Milan must be gutted that Kaka never went to Man City. They made a ?50-60m loss of profit on that sale. You'd think they would try and buy from the back forward. Best way to do it IMHO

Can you tire of watching this ?
That vid makes me a little sad. All those good players. All those good times. :tonguecheek:

I'd have Dargo in for Wyness. Bit quicker and different to Niculae. And swap Rankin and Black over. I'd have Brown. He was excellent for us. Wasn't perfect. Not saying that Esson hasn't been a great signing. But for me, just have Brown in over him.

Wyness Free Transfer
This is already on non ICT. View generally seems to be. We all love him but not sure if it would be practical and a centre half should be priority.
-
Milan Derby
Thats what made it even worse. Juve liked what they saw and gave him a contract. I think I would cry if he signed for ICT. Unhappy tears. If George Burley thought Kirk Broadfoot was limited, he'd love Jonathan Zebina.

Dennis Wyness and Mo Camara
That sums it up perfectly for me. As a fan and remembering the good times it seems a great idea but when thinking about it, its a luxury we probably cant afford. I really dont know how good he would be now. A no on Camara. No better than what we already have. And with him there is no real connection. So its all head thought there. My only worry, and it will probably happen, is one of our rivals will sign Wyness and he'll be the thorn in our side.

Is Imrie out of contract at the end of the season as well? cripes!

Away support
I do get what CTID is getting at. It is quite alarming that attendances could dwindle that much. It seems fair enough that alot of people may not be able to go but to lose that many puts the frightners on. It would be more alarming if home attendances were to tumble in that manner as that would be revenue loss for the club. As long as the 75 fans travelling south make up for their absent fellow supporters the best they can then I think thats good enough for the short term. If people are stuggling to afford it, or make the time, it only takes for promotion challengers to be mid table to make that decision easier to stay at home rather than travelling to Airdrie etc. I can understand that. The most important thing is that when we are there we back the team. Get behind them and make some noise.

Bulvitis away?
I'd love for something to be sorted. He's settled into that defence well and he also offers a big goal threat for a defender at set pieces.

Milan Derby
Yeh I know what you mean mate, he must be an excellent trainer/brown noser because I've never seen him have a good game... tbh there has been a few players that have played for Milan and the Azzuri, who have flattered to deceive or to quote Carlos Tevez "A boot licker" All he seems to do is disrupt play and not even that well. Seedorf must have something to have done as well as he has. Nothing in particular stands out skill wise but he does have a very good footballing brain. And I think everyone thought Sivestre was an odd one. I remember another player playing in Italy in Jonathan Zebina for Roma. I cant fathom how he got a game for a top flight Italian side. I cant even remember a game where he didn't make an error of some sort, usually leading to a goal against.

Dennis Wyness and Mo Camara
I'd love to have him back, and I reckon he could do a job for us. Though Im not sure how much of that is sentiment for a player I admired alot when he was here and thought Brewster treated him shoddily. And when I think about it, up front isn't really a problem area. Defence, centre mid perhaps are the areas of the team that need strengthened and even then another loan as cover may be worth a try over getting someone in permanently. The left back slot does need sorting however we have 3 and its not very good handling of resourses to get another one in unless we cut 2 loose. Which we probably cant afford to do anyway.

Dennis Wyness and Mo Camara
Hey I beat you to this! no fair! Merge may be in order eh.

Dennis Wyness and Mo Camara
Just read in the ever reliable Metro, that Gus has told Wyness that if he wants more regular football then he would be allowed to find himself another club. Given his proven track record in the 1st division, would it be worth moving Barrowman on and bringing in Wyness? He came back before so its not like its a hoodoo thing. The only problem may be his wages.

Milan Derby
Agreed. Remembering the likes of Baresi, Maldini et al is becoming a distant memory. They definitely missed Nesta. If the game had been a week later he would have been available. I wouldn't say Seedorf is a defensively minded player. But after his introduction he was only effective for about 10 minutes before Cambiasso snuffed him out. But starting with Gattuso, Ambrosini and Pirlo leaves alot of work for Ronaldinho. Both having to link with Borriello and makes the runs from midfield, neither of which he did to much effect. I dont rate Ambrosini all that highly. Granted he's a good solid squad player to have but it seems odd how he's ahead of someone like Flamini. Is Pato injured at present?

Milan Derby
I didnt even realise they had really missed out on Dzeko. Is he not still favouring a move to the Rossonieri?
-
Milan Derby
Ac have alot of players at the club who are in the twilight of their careers now. And they missed the commanding influence of the more and more injury prone Nesta at the back. Borriello is a decent striker but he's not in the Milan class. They've had him for years but kept loaning him out or co-owning him. The likes of Seedorf, Jankalovski, Inzaghi, Favalli(i think his name is) have had their day. Gattuso, Pirlo, Beckham, Ronaldinho, Nesta, Ambrosini are all part of the 30+ group now and whilst there is no substitute for experience they need some fresh blood. You'd think the likes of Huntelaar and Flamini would have supplied that but for various reasons have either not settled or been out the team. Rossi is a legend but had been well passed his best for years and he was still there. He probably still is.

Boca Juniors v River Plate
somebody took a fairly tame shot early on and he screamed his name like he had had a very pleasurable(on his part anyway) trouser accident. I was actually worried what might happen when people scored. I think I missed the penalties. I was drifting in and out of the game.

Transfers?
22 goals conceded in 18 games for a team like Stoke... I doubt James competed with that tally last season at Pompey Mark Yeates [Middlesbrough - Sheffield United] Undisclosed He just moved to Middlesbrough at the start of the season, I thought he was decent as well ... Strachan obviously not a fan A good record yes but Stoke in general have a fairly big solid back line. And they're a physical bunch who dont really concede. But I wouldnt say Sorensen is the key to that.

Boca Juniors v River Plate
He seemed genuinely suprised that after 2 and a half minutes there was no score. I was thinking Jeez its not Basketball! Or "there goes the starting whistle" the what? really?! i mean really?!!
