  1. Pro tennis players do represent their nations in the Olympics and alot of the top sports persons there like Mark Thorpe (whos now retired from swimming at like 25 because he's minted and won so much he doesnt care any more) make so much money through sponsorship it's very hard to call them amateurs in the true sense of the word.
  2. Its probably a default British third division style stadium setting like in the other games. Our stadium probably aint alot bigger than English lower teams in fact its probably smaller than alot.
  3. ...to be honest i've always found Amy Mcdonald a little over opinionated (is that spelt right?) oh yeah but Lovell, Nah he's quick and a good eye for goal but he's had some injury problems over the years. Mind you so did Dargo. Still be risky.
  4. please bear in mind there is nothing concrete in this... he's on trial at doncaster and thats the last we'll probably hear of him in a playing capacity. In saying that he's exactly the type we should be looking at, even for a year or two. Him, Brewster and Malky Thompson would also be a very sound coaching team. Unfortunately we can only but dream.... :023:
  5. Has he not previously ruled out a move to Bucharest already himself? I haven't been a fan of Brewster since he returned but he is winning me round at the moment. I dont think its fair he's getting critism for any of this as a) HE never brought him in and b) ANY decision about whether Niculae plays in friendlies etc is more than likely going on above him. He'll have been told there was a high risk he'd lose him and he'll more than likely been offered ca chance to reinvest to appease. I don't think Brewster should foot any blame on this one. His job is team selection and tactics and keeping the lads fresh, happy and motivated and he wont have alot of say on finances in terms of company assets like that.
  6. The only problem with the Kris Boyd type player is often their workrate of the ball is questionable or ineffective ( I am one of the few that think Boyds workload and link up game has improved ten fold). It can sometimes leave the team a player down. And you have to be careful not to make him a hard grafter outside the box and accidently nullify his best attribute. However this can be compensated with moulding the team to work with his best attribute. A chain of supply towards him and his co striker (therefore if he is being double marked the other striker or midfielder may benefit). Again that has its problems where if said player is to get injured the team struggle to score as their target/source has been taken away. As long as other players are able to adapt not to rely on Barrowman if he becomes a goal machine and the team can remain a goal scoring TEAM.
  7. Further Further more he is apparently known for going out on the **** and making dancing videos on his homewards return :023:
  8. At 14 you'll probably be better than most of us. Stonger, fiiter and faster too
  9. I think Rooney has all the makings but i still fear if we dont get a seasoned experienced front man who will deal with pressure when the chips are down.
  10. get realistic lads... we've still to go on our pre season tour. Wait until thats finished and we round up the games here. These games are far more to do with fitness. The run outs v County and St J being the only two meaniful ones as its against better than mediocre opposition. Then we can work on tactics etc against the Danish teams like Helforge and hopefully have a new centre back in by then. It seems to be the main point of concern.
  11. No McKimmie was right in some respects.... Broadfoot is rubbish. Rangers wouldnt have taken him if it wasnt to weaken another team and get someone for nothing.
  12. Steven Pressley is poised to join Peterborough (i think it was) on trial. I think it would be a good signing for most teams despite his age. Eh hang on wait a minute. Defender, great reader of the game, born leader, strong in the air, strong physique. A great dressing room influence. Cant help think i'm missing something here :024: perhaps someone could help me out.
  13. Im really happy that the club are running the rule over trialists. He could turn out the business but if not no harm done.
  14. Brewster described him as a little nervous in the game. (The steaks of getting a contract probably) He obviously hasnt shown enough to grant giving him a deal especially as we have about 10 players capable of playing as midfielders. He may have been a good prospect but in Vigurs and Z Sutherland i think we already have those and in similar wide positions. As brewster stated when he came on trial was that we had alot of midfielders already but he was a wide player and he was looking to see if he offered something different. He probably didnt. Also his reason for not signing Barnes was he wasnt ready to go straight into the team and Evans probably wasnt there either. Wish the lad all the best in the future and if Fergie wants to give us other suggestions what about Ronaldo on loan? :021:
  15. Brew is a bit cheeky to consider himself a youth teamer. He's too old for the seniors! :015:
  16. I'd certainly like to take part... but i have a knack for being clumsy and would not want to take out Marius, Don, Ian, Ross and/or Andy for the opening of the season. ....But put me in for a fans v stewards game as i could be more than useful there.
  17. cheers. Would like to still see a experienced head at the back and up front. We need a workhorse up front similar to bayne but, well, better. And Darren Dods, can we have him back please.
  18. Yep was away in Amsterdam sampling their exotic array of consumable plants and came back to find we have lost Bayne, Wyness, and Mcdonald up front. With Niculae probably leaving it looks like we'll only have Barrowman and Rory up front. I see we have evans on trial. But is he not a left winger. Do we need a left winger? We only seem to have Mike Fraser in goals but i heard news of Ryan Esson. whats that about? And we still do not have a partner for Munro at the back despite Stu Caffers leaving? Whats going on comrades? Your Council Juice captain needs you (well any news/ rumours would be nice)
  19. If Inverness take any more players on trial that i signed in my FM game i'll be suspicious of Brew. has he been prying at me game? He should sign Denni Advic from elfborg or Mads Albaek (if he exists) Tommy Hoiland, Jonny Howson, Miki Roque and he might emulate my success- only got beat 2-1 on aggregate by barca in my 1st season in europe with successive 4th place finishes and runner up in cup to tic cheats. Anyway what about Ron-Robert Zeiler if we need a keeper as backup. He's highly rated and if Brew gets on well with Fergie the perhaps a wee loan might be an idea. He's young like but good. And Evans is a decent shout from what i hear. I was suprised we never went for barnes but i can see brew wanting someone ready to go straight into the 1st team which he may not have been.
  20. I'd say keep Wilson. We need his experience as there is a lot of kids on the fringes and i can see a few young lads joining too.
  21. An eye for goal is an eye for goal. He might take time to find his feet but alot of players have to go down a level or too to get back to the big time!
