  1. As well as there being no Naismith in the squad, I was suprised to see that Chris Burke wasnt included in either the 'B' or the 'A' squad gathering. I accept that he's only back from injury and hasnt yet been brilliant but in terms of right side supply he's as good as anyone in Scotland. He was the only player that looked like causing us a problem when he came on. The B squad is for future players, which he is and he should surely be in the A gathering given unlike McFadden has a chance of making the games and isn't suspended. And how naismith is not in either squad is downright wrong.
  2. It does not take 15 minutes by bus from Waverley. Ive walked from the Edinburgh Corn Exchange all the way along gorgie road and Dalry road to princes St in little more than half an hour. I was walking quicking at 1st because the Corn Exchange is next to Wester Hailes. Still I managed to get a chippy on the way! Probably just as easy getting of at Haymarket and you can walk to the stadium in about 10 minutes.
  3. If tam Mcmanus has been released then perhaps a deal to the summer would be a good move. He's a seasoned spl player and versitile. I think the down to earth attitude of the rest of the squad would stop him being indiciplined.
  4. Agreed we should stop raiding them... for a start they dont have any decent players left! :015: :015:
  5. I dont see the point in signing a striker permantly right now. Getting a player on loan would be good. Having an experienced goal getter till the end of the season would be the best solution in my book. Then perhaps getting the lad Buchanan, who after having a good 1st half of the season should be assessed further, would be the order of the day. And if that is Cowie in then we need to start looking at centre halves. we only really have 3 at mo. Hastings is too valuable at left back to be used in the middle.
  6. he needs when things annoy him just to take a breath and think. I'd rather have him take out his greivances by scoring a goal or playing a killer pass. I have no problems with him kicking someone up and down the park all day as long as he doesnt get booked or sent off
  7. Bayne might be a clumsy oalf but he weighs in witht the goals. Does his job!
  8. Bayne does actually score a few goals! And i think given a run so will Rory. In fact has Bayne not scored more than Wyness this season. And Wilson is always weighing in.

surely tho he hasnt played for us so this doesnt apply to Smith. Otherwise Stokes couldnt have went from Arsenal to Falkirk on Loan and then sign for Sunderland, or Bardsley from Man Utd to Gers to Villa. So he could go on loan again.
  10. Yes i fear we'd get humped :017: Specially given their season starts in April so anytime we did play them they'd be fresh and our players in Off Season mode Also some big clubs have played MLS teams and got done over. The standard is quite high. Higher than most give credit for.
  11. I can presume that for the next 6 months every single slighty bad movement by Dods will be scrutinised. He wont be allowed to put a foot wrong. And as for mixed emotions/ conflict of interest. I personally think he'd play out of his skin to prove he is a man of undoubted integrity, proffesionalism and of his word.
  12. We dont need Strikers, we dont need Midfielders, we do need Centre Halfs.
  13. I thought he (Black) played at CB as a trainee as well as in the middle. It could have just been lazyness on media/Fifa 2005's part. Ive never seen him play there and would wonder whether he could. but as i said an option but not IDEAL

Give the lad time. He's hardly had time to touch the ball never mind establish himself. And genrally speaking bigger lads up front blossom later than the wee sprite. Jna Koller for example never caught anyones attention till his mid twenties, as is Prso and its been more so in recent years that Jan VoH has become prolific. Barring one season at Blackburn Chris Sutton never showed his class till signing for Celtic. 19/20 year old is still young and he needs to build some upper body strength. But thats what the gyms for.
  15. was black not a centre half/ midfielder but went towards a fixed position of midfield. An option. not ideal but one nonetheless
  16. you have to bear in mind Macallister is a) only 19 and still learning and b) has hardly played enough at this level to get up to speed and tempo, that takes time too. Its when you start bringin people in that finances go awry. I say give the kid a chance! Also we have bayne and Macswegan so altho we dont have alot of options, we shouldnt be out rushing for new players.

In my opinion, you only need to words to sum this guy up. "Living Leg-end" -a leg-end in my social surroundings, being of even greater standing than a legend. Leg-end!
  18. Mark Brown has been a great servant to the club. Was a major contributor to getting us to where we are today. And, fair enough, i dont see alot of games, but whenever i have seen him go to catch a cross he catches it. Altho he is weak under pressure and doesnt command his area brilliantly and he cant kick a moving ball or kick very well for that matr, but he can catch and he is an immense shot stopper. Also Marshall cant catch anything and he is far more suseptible to errors. Good luck Mark!
  19. he gets a lot of bad flak but he is a superb passer of the ball and a hard worker. Ridiculos wages, but hey their yanks. Mind u in the 70s when they were paying huge somes to pele and best etc it all went belly up so they had better be careful.
  20. 1) Anybody but burns 2)tommy burns :015:
  21. Two names im suprised to have not even been mentioned are Jim Jefferies who is constantly praised for his work at Killie and Jimmy Calderwood. Not that i think either would get the job but im still suprised their names havent been mooted

I have to say it is an honour that Ict have played a key role in the removal of not 1 but 2 OF managers. :015: :015: :015: :021:
  23. I hope smith sees out the current qualifiying campaign, whether he picks any ICT players or not. I want to see my country do well 1st and foremost and he has been the man for the job so far. So losing Smith would be a shame. Altho i'd understand his reasoning. Other names mentioned: George Burley, McCoist and Smith, Billy Davies, Souness, Durrant, Butcher. If Murray has a clue he'd go for Harry Redknapp!
  24. Dods is too good for Rangers! They could probably get Bobby Mann! :015:
  25. Go with the form pairing at the mo, wyness and Bayne, who is coming on leaps and bounds. Dont think he'll ever be a goal machine but he is becoming a good outlet to hold the ball up. Wyness for a wee guy is also good at holding the ball up. Dargo is always good for a goal so we should rotate them and throw Rory in every so often. He needs to play when the team are playing well and prefeably winning to aid his development. And if we get another striker in then it would look like we'll lose Mcswegan, Ah Well! - gutted! :004:
