Londons UK Olympics
atos??? Atos S.A. are not sponsors of the Paralympics. They are Partners, they will make money as opposed to donate it, who are providing all the IT support. Atos Healthcare UK, who have the same parent company, are the ones responsible for the Work Capability Assessment farce that occurred recently and are run a a totally seperate company. People should also bare in mind that Atos Healthcare UK are a consultancy company and were hired and advised by the UK government. Though they of their staff had no experience in working with disability they were still hired as assessors. Most of the blame for that should lie at the door of No.10.

Season Tickets
In the past I've never had a season ticket because I worked offshore and didn't get to too many games. I had intended buying two this season seeing as I've retired now but the farce that is the SPL is making my mind up against that.

On the point of 20,000 seater stadium. Jonny is unlikely to be at Aberdeen by the time thats in use. AFC have put back the start of the stadium build because they have been unable to secure a deal that gives them all the land they require. Somebody is holding out for more cash methinks. AFC. stated last week that it will be at least a further year before building can commence and they expect it to take a year to build. I cant see Jonny staying at the Pitt for more than two years if he goes there at all.

Rangers go into administration
I see there's no mention as to how they voted on the shareout of funds. Instead its all about voting to save cheats and criminals. Sorry Mr Chairmen but I foresee even more disasterous gate reciepts if Rangers Newco comes about. If CVA goes through and Rangers remain as is then I see gates dropping for any game involving them. Their fans will boycott away games and many home fans of all clubs will stay away from games involving Rangers. A lose lose situation has been created because up to ten clubs have no balls.

Rangers go into administration
I think this is going to result in total turmoil of Scottish football. Rangers did not go through the proper channels available to them but instead chose to take their appeal through the civil courts in total breach of FIFA regulations. Is this nievity on the part of the administrators? I would have thought they and their legal advisors would have looked at the outcomes of such actions before embarking on this appeal in they way they chose. Now the SFA have to address this new breach as well as the original and impose sanctions that FIFA see fit. A ban from the Scottish cup will not suffice. If the correct actions are not taken then FIFA impose sanctions against the SFA. Sanctions that could have serious repercussions for Rangers allies from the other side of the city. Clubs banned from competing in the european competitions and country banned for next World Cup qualifiers!! Those teams who are in europe are building, at additional cost, for the chance to compete. They could now find themselves in financial difficulty because they have been building based of the monies they would gleen from european games. Celtic now need to think about possible monies gained within the SPL by arguing to keep Rangers in it against the possible monies gained by making it to the CL group stages. Motherwell may not see themselves as possible CL group stage contenders but I'm sure they will be looking at getting past the first qualifying stage and thus earning a decent sum. A sum that would likely be greater than the losses they percieve if Rangers were not in the SPL. Same goes for the Europa league contenders. All this is going to make for a very interesting SPL meeting today. One where the chairmen must take account of the FIFA threat and bear in mind that GB is not a popular nation within the realms of FIFA after all the recent investigative documentaries trying to undermine Mr Blatter and his regime. The SPL, SFA and, indeed, the SFL must now get together and save this game in Scotland, and have the balls to take the right action to prevent us going down the tubes as the laughing stock of the world. There is more chance of TV pulling out of our game because we are an embarassment than there is of them pulling out because there is no Rangers.

In terms of fanbase St J are a smaller team than us with smaller crowds so much so they are actually going to knock down a stand so they can sell the land for a new road. They are offering a two year deal to Tade and Scobie but I believe Miller is only a one year deal. That aside they are spending some cash on the hope of earning a few more quid with european match. Personally, I see both St J and Aberdeen fighting at the bottom next season.

Panic panic.........someones released news before I've had a chance to explain things to Inverness. in these days of modern technology I cannot believe communication between agent and player would not happen regardless of where in the world each was.

Seems nobody is telling porkies. The articles say agreement has been reached...............none of them say signing has been completed...............Jonny makes his tweet that he hasn't signed which is true. He will however sign if all goes well with his medical on return from holiday. Goodbye Jonny.......you've made a big mistake going to this club.

Londons UK Olympics
Cost to taxpayer is about £11 billion. Lottery and sponsorship cover the rest. £11 billion is about £3 billion short of what it costs to run the health service. Some of the cash will be recouped by the sale of the lands and buildings that that make up the villages and additional stadia. The previous posters are correct in that there wont be any benifit to the rest of the UK. In fact these games could be detrimental to our tourist industry. Many many people, especially Americans, may be put off from making the journey to Britian because of the additional security measures and possible increased risk of terror attack. Personally I think its an absolute waste of money at a time when the world economy is crashing down around us.

Are you worried ? - I feckin am
Not too many moons ago, in the days when we'd sign players from County or Elgin or Huntly there were many people coming on here and decrying our scouting network because we didn't look to the lower English leagues or the Irish leagues for players.

Scotland v usa
So rene who should it be?

Scotland v usa
Scottish football is in a bad state. There is no competition to build talent. Scotland does not have players that are International standard. We have to play the 'granny wore a tartan shawl' card to find half decent players from down south. Some of those players are English through and through but their only chance of winning a cap is to switch to Scotland. Personally I dont see many born and bred Scots of the required standard coming through in the future either. At least not before the game in this country is torn apart and rebuilt.

The problem is that we are anything but financially stable. We are losing at least £250k a year. No matter what some feel about clubs not being dependant on cash injections from directors etc - we just cannot afford to trade as we are doing right now. We are living on the breadline - our manager has one of the lowest budgets, if not the lowest, in the SPL so he has to deal in "non-traditional" markets. We cannot expect any better than we are getting under these circumstances. Attendances will probably continue to fall because of the financial climate and the product on offer. UNLESS we get cash injections of very large amounts we should be worried. You have the rights of it. This club cannot afford to do anything other than it has. Its not Butchers fault we are in the situation we are. Maybe the merger should never have happened and maybe any Inverness club should never have had the audacity to ever think they could compete in the top flight. The bottom line is there is just not the support to sustain the club. And County will find exactly the same problems. When we came into the SPL first time we were basing budgets on having average crowds of 4500 - 5000. We are knowhere near that.

Penalties?
Each team gets one kick from one goal mouth and the further the ball travels that team wins. If it happens to land on a passing truck then so be it. Wherever the truck stops the ball stops.

As I said on another thread the bottom line is that this club is struggling to survive as a full time SPL club. Who's going to find the extra 1/4 million this next season?
-
Tokely Offski - to Countski
I see no conspiracy whatsoever here. Tokely has been at the club a long time and I'd imagine he's one of our top earners. Nobody knows if he's able, at his age, to complete another full season at full fitness. He's been offered a deal for another year at a reduced wage. How reduced I dont know. This deal has not come about because anyone wants rid of Tokely. Its come about because we cannot afford to keep him at the salary he was on. Look back over the last few years at whats been happening. Every year we have had a 1/4 million shortfall in cash needed to survive. Alan Savage stepped in with that amount. Then a few directors chipped in with a similar amount. A deal was done on the social club to subsidise another season. A consortium comes forward with a similar amount to cover last seasons shortfall. This season the club has said the playing budget is cut. This club is struggling to make ends meet as a full time club in this league. We cant go below a 24 player first team and we also need an U-20 squad. Perhaps the only way to achieve that is to cut wages and find players that'll put themselves in the shop window for a move to a bigger wage elsewhere. That to me seems the only way this club can survive and no amount of bleating is going to put funds in the coffer. At least not unless the jackpot is mine tonight.

Rangers Newco with no sanctions
I realise my poll is not representative of all the fans of ICT with only 40 votes so far. Please take note though that 57.5% of the voters have indicated they would stop supporting their team. If this was representative then over half of our current fanbase will stop coming. Thats 1500 x 18 home games. 27000 lost seats in a season is a hell of a big hit against the risk that Rangers fans carry out their boycott. Fans of all the other teams are saying the same thing. Part time football in the SPL? Unthinkable but looking very much a reality.

Euro snobbery??????? Should I have dropped the standard a bit and said Inverness Cup?

Luke McCormick
I do find some difficulties in this. Yes he was convicted. He spent three and a half years in jail but his sentence is not over. He's out on licence and Swindon were asked, and have agreed, to help in his rehabilitation. The thing is, this is the only job he knows so does he earn a living or does the tax payer keep him? It could well be that he trains for now and moves abroad if and when his licence allows. As for some of the comments that come out of such tragedies. People really need to wake up to life. Many of those who, nowadays, kick the drunk driver when he's down are the same people who think its great to go as fast as they can on the roads. Cause a death through speed and you are just as guilty as the DD.
