  1. Maybe Gobbiecob will come by and say hello
  2. Everything of this statement I agree with. This is sensible posting. Praise from a tractorman.....whatever next By the way I live a few hundred yards from McDairmid
  3. Russell is very much a defensive midfielder and I would also put Cox in that category. We need an attack minded player alongside Russell. I think Foran is the one who should play there. My midfield, assuming all were fit would be Hayes, Foran, Duncan and Ross

I dont think your wrong George and I'd go further and say that if I heard rascist remarks being directed and players, such as you've described, I'd be chatting with the first policeman I came across and pointing out the offender regardless of which team he or she purports to support.
  5. This has nothing to do with the pitch nor with the carpark. This is about Taysides finest not wanting to police the games. Same Chief Constable made the decision in Dundee as in Perth. The CC is frightened he'll be sued if one of his foot soldiers slips and hurts himself or gets hit by a car cos he has to walk on the road seeing as the pavements have been piled high with snow.. Nothing to do with fans falling about. As for sunday, assuming no more snow and the present thaw continuing I cant see any reason for it being called of.

No contest Johndo. You'd win on all counts. Biggest tit and biggest tattoo See you in Perth mate
  7. Not seen anything about this so dont know whats going on but I would suspect that DS may be suggesting that if a major investor was to come in he'd be willing to give up some or all of his shareholding to make any investment more attractive. Nobody will come in with loads of cash if they dont have a say in the club so it makes sense for DS to reduce his shareholding. What isn't clear is what shareholding he's talking about. His personal stake or that of Tulloch. IIRC the total of the two amounts to something like 47%. If DS is giving up some of his stake to make way for investment then he has to be commended. If he is selling then I'd be inclined to think that either he or his company or both are finding book balancing difficult at this time.
  8. With all the stick our fans give to Alan MacGregor would they really want his co-accused in the team? Besides he signed for Oldham at end October and made two appearances before getting a three match ban for a red card in the reserves.
  9. Could it not just be that folks were a little bit lethargic the day after christmas.
  10. I'll be there with Mrs M.
  11. All I can deduce from this whole threads is mountains and molehills.
  12. Robbo was raving about him when he was at Stenhousemuir a few years ago & I remembered posting this (hope link works??) http://community.cal...h__1#entry38498 Yes you did and it was suggested at the time that we maybe should have put up thee cash for him but, I wonder, would our fans have been so patient in the wait to see him on the pitch. After all its taken over three years for him to bedcome a first team player at Tynie.
  13. Saints pitch is in excellent condition. the probleb is the access to it. Because the carpark hadn't been cleared it is now just a sheet of ice.
  14. Don't think so!! The Christmas bank holiday is Monday 27th and Boxing day one Tuesday 28th.
  15. Eh? I'll give u a wee clue, CIS cup semi We might have made the CIS cup semi had Celtic not gotten six goals against us.
  16. Bit of a pisser for me. Being as I'm offshore till 28th I had made all my plans around the game being on the first. Wife cant make it 2nd as she's rota'd to support a person at Ibrox. Oh well!!!!
  17. So did you set fire to the Burnley top then Dave
  18. Feck me I couldn't have put it better myself Very hard to choose between Russel and Rossco though
  19. There was a spell in the game where the ref seemed to have lost the plot but all in all as modern standards go I thought he had a decent game. Bigman, Miller was warned in the first half for mouthing and the incident in the second I believe the ref was pretty frustrated by the big mouthed toad that he became a bit flustered and realised he hadn't shown the card. Refs know they'll get a hard time if they penalise an OF player but I think he had intended penalising Miller but just had a wee delay in doing it. As for the point someone made about blaming Uefa / FIFA for simulation. Sorry but I have to disagree with that. There is a crime of 'decieving the ref by simulation' and referee's have the power to penalise yet they dont. How many times have we seen a ref indicate play on when someone has blatantly been found out for trying to trick the ref and yet no card is shown. Start flashing yellows and the diving will stop.
  20. Just a point I'd like to make to what CD says and its something that many dont think about. First off, not all teams allow free access to disabled persons. My wife's work involves supporting persons with learning disabilities. One of the persons she supports has a season ticket to Ibrox. In fact he has two. One for him and one for his support worker. I believe one or two clubs allow free access to the support worker but the supported person still has to purchase a ticket. As CD says these persons are not necessary financially disabled and many can afford to pay but the added cost of the support worker can be a problem.
  21. As it stands I agree totally with CD. Assuming this went ahead and two SPL's are created does the second one get television rights and TV monies? Will the other teams get a fair share or will the current system of pandering to the OF continue? Smith moaned yesterday that having a small squad and having to play in europe took a lot out of his team so if they cant afford a bigger squad then surely less games would be a better option.
  22. Is it 5 yellows before you receive a one match suspension? No it goes by disciplinary points. The points awarded depend on the nature of the foul. A simple unintentional foul will generate 1 penalty point whereas a red card for a serious offence can generate 12 points. A player gets an automatic suspension if he acrues 18 points so our players are a long way of that. You can read all about it Here
  23. Tokely and Foran are both on 4 yellows and 4 disciplinary points Duff and Munro are on 3.
  24. This was one game I really enjoyed. We totally dominated them in the first half but we came back out without a plan for the changes they had to make. Still we eventually adapted and made life difficult for them. We defended extremely well and nothing we could have done would have stopped them equalising but we didn't let that get our heads down. We kept going and won a very well deserved point. Two complaints though. My fave player RD needs to look in front of him before giving the ball away. Odi was crap and should not get a start. Get well soon Nick. Oh and Shinnie deserves his new contract
  25. An up to date pic of Ceilidh can be seen Here
