Maybe, if we could get to the top half and stay there for a load of years we could come close but I dont see any team in Scotland outside the big two win it in the next tens of years. Rangers are not bankrupt. They have big debts and need to make cuts to maintain those. This financial year they reported a profit. Celtic under Lennon have gained 24 league points from a possible 24. How the hell does that make Lennon worse than Barnes? So long as those two command the fanbase they have then no other club, unless bought over by a very rich person with a Chelsea-esque type budget, they will always win the Scottish top league. But, you dream on for all of us mate.

This ruling came about to try and develop football in Scotland. It was hoped that if clubs were forced to include youngsters in their squads they'd be seen to be bringing those through to first teams. the idea was good but turned out a hinderence and a mockery. Most managers would like to see the rule scrapped.

Not surprised by this in the slightest. I had heard a rumour that this was actually on the cards just prior to Flybe extending their deal by a further year. Alan Savage, as well as being a shareholder of some 12 or so %, is also a fan of the club. This is an excellent way for his company and ICT to benifit without him being seen as furthering any quest to increase his shareholding, and thus, powerbase within the company.

Just read this thread, after a great holiday in the sun, and I see not much has changed among some. The OP offers up a single, at no cost, to help the team, the fans, and wherever the proceeds go. Another person offers a very good design for comment, prior to publication. He has also agreed that permissions would be sought as to any copyright issues. People trying to be positive and also trying to guide each other on the little intricacies that go with such a venture. All good points. And points that I'm sure the owners of the copyright of images used would welcome. Such a shame then that the two main persons concerned find their idea's, and invitations for comment, turn into what I can only describe as a bit of bitchiness. This thread is about a song and a cover sleeve. It has absolutely nothing to do with copyright of images used for other projects, nor even images posted by members of this site in other areas of this site. It could be construed that we are all guilty of some breach of copyright in what we place on the site, though my view in that tends to be that if the owner of an image places it on a public hosting site then its fair game for others to use it. All that said. I think the song idea is a fantastic gesture from the OP and look forward to hearing words and music. (will I be breaching his copyright if I sing it?). I also think the artwork is an excellent concept and that with some suggestions being put forward and a little tweaking here and there will turn out as something that the real owners of the images used would have no problem in allowing. Peter Paul would never have a problem with his image being used so long as he is approached beforehand. I dont see the club, as owners of the crest, having a problem either. I'm also sure both could be acknowledged within the finished article.

To be fair I think Les Kidger and MFR should get a 'well done' for the effort they put into the day. I thought the presentation celebration was excellent. Just a pity we couldn't have had a short spell of darkness for the fireworks.

IMO 40 games, especially if teams have good cup runs, are too much in a season. Then to add playoffs for some. 18 team league gives 34 games + enough scope to build in a playoff system for bottom teams. 16 team league gives 30 games then split 8 + 8 and play each once = 37 bottom team down, top of lower league up. Second bottom play off with next 3 in lower league.

Dont really make much difference who is in the shortlist be it Adams, Butcher, or even Jocky Scott. We all know who'll win it.

It is unlikely that the SFL will do anthing about this simply because it's the SFA who have sole responsibility for discipline in Scottish football. The ref has to report that on two occassions during this game play was stopped because fans were on the pitch. It may be that we are sanctioned for this or it may be that the SFA realise the exuberance and good nature and do nothing about it. Either way it will not be a good idea to invade the pitch during the match on saturday. The consequences of such action could be very bad for the club. It could also be very bad for the fans who carry out such an act. Trivial trhough it may seem a charge of breach of the peace could be the difference between having a future career and not having one. Think on before you act.

Great news on the 3 deals! The only possible way I could see Rossco leaving is if a very good 3 year deal was put in front of him. The kind that would set him up nicely for retirement. Or if Im right in thinking this, he is a Jambo yeah? If they wanted a new defender he might be tempted. So I'd be right in thinking we have Odi, Foran, Cox, Rooney, Munro and, eh Duncan(?) for next season. We now need IMO Tokely, Hayes, Proctor, Esson, Bulvitis and Duff perhaps too (Dont know his status) and another year for Sanchez. Hopefully get promising youngsters like Sutherland/Shinnie/Morrison secured for the future. This would give around a 1st team squad of 16 to build upon. I've probably missed some really obvious names out. Ooops just in case As much as I like and respect Golly and Roy, Im not sure they've got it for the SPL anymore though Im sure more regular attenders of games than me would be better suited to judge that. They would offer invaluable experience of the SPL and are part of the club. They would at least offer excellent cover but we need to secure other players to compete in their positions I would think. When did Ross become a Jambo. I always thought his sympathy's lay with Aberdeen. As for the likes of Golly, Roy etc. I think we need them more for motivating and mothering the younger players. Keeping them on their toes etc. Also will we need a reserve team?
